Public Works Council Committee - Regular Meeting

Public Works meeting to order. First, I'll be roll call. Please mark your attendance when prompted to do so. And we do have a quorum. Next item is approval of minutes. Minutes from the Public Works Committee meeting on Tuesday, 10/09/2025. They're in the packet. I'll give you a minute to look at them and I'll be ready to entertain the motion. Second. Motion second to approve minutes 20 five-ninety from 10/09/2025.

First item, resolution twenty five thousand one thirty nine. Resolution of the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas to authorize the mayor and city clerk to accept permanent drainage easement from Christopher and Marilyn Newsome for the purpose of constructing and maintaining drainage improvements. Whereas the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas desires to accept the following described easement for the purpose of constructing and maintaining drainage easements, part of the Southeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 10 Township 14 North Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas being more particularly described as follows. Legal description follows, Containing 2,198 square feet more or less subject to all rights of way and easements of record. Now therefore be it resolved by the city council for the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas that section one of the mayor and city clerk are hereby authorized by city council for the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas to accept the easement described above.

Whereas the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas desires to accept the following described easement for the purpose of constructing and maintaining drainage improvements, part of the Southeast corner of the northwest corner of Section 10 Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas being more particularly described as follows. Legal description follows, containing 1,047 square feet more or less subject to all rights of way and easement of record.

Now therefore be it resolved by the city council for the city of Jonesboro that Arkansas that section one, the mayor and city clerk are hereby authorized by the city council for the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas to accept the easement described above. Next item, resolution 25,161, a resolution to the city of Arkansas to authorize the mayor and city clerk to accept right of way dedication from the zip, the CP number three nineteen LLC for the purpose of constructing and maintaining roadway improvements. Where the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas desires to accept the following described right of way for the purpose of constructing and maintaining roadway improvements, a part of the Northwest corner of Section 16 Township 14 North Range 4 East Jonesboro, Brigade County, Arkansas being more particularly described as follows.

The legal description follows containing 2,436 square feet more or less subject to all rights of way and easements of record. Now therefore be it resolved by the city council for the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas. That section one, mayor and city clerk are hereby authorized by the city council for the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas to accept the right of way described above. Make a motion that this be forwarded to the full council. Second.
