This happens every year about this time.

6:15 – 7:14Speaker 1

It's a short little agreement. These are ones that Jenny doesn't need to review. They don't change from year to year. We got this on May 1st. So it's the $4,000 waste power grant. She'll submit the actual expenses once this goes through court that we can agree to this. Apply for the grants up to $4000. They'll give us the money in June and we spend it next year and then next July she submits all of her documentation for it happens year after year, but we do. We get the money ahead of time, but same amount of money every year, so it kind of washes out budget. So this would be on the next court. Resolution to be able to sign this and send it in and do no later than June 20th. We'll send it to the next court to take care of.

7:15Speaker 7

Do you have any questions?

7:25Speaker 5

The next up would be Mark.

7:28Speaker 8

I don't have anything for court.

7:32Speaker 5

Any questions? Adam?

7:36Speaker 7

I do not have any items for fiscal court.

7:41Speaker 5

Yes, we're up to Mike.

7:43Speaker 10

Yes, I do have the, uh. Flex fund application for 2 rows.

7:52 – 8:31Speaker 10

Uh, this will have to go to the court. I believe it has to require signature. Uh, we did have a discussion with our representative. through the office that gave us an estimate of about $405,000 that we could apply for. This total here, what you see in front of you, is about $404,000 is our estimated cost from Scotty's for doing just a little over two miles of West Ruse Creek Road and a little over two miles of Upton Road.

8:44 – 8:55Speaker 7

Any questions just wonder what the phrases of the gas tax is going to have. I think it's going to have on the county.

8:57 – 9:18Speaker 9

I have some of that notified of that. The other thing too, is after 30 days, yes, prices haven't gone down. You have to decide whether to continue. The judges and the mayors. So, we can talk about that some more.

9:19Speaker 7

Okay. That would be interesting.

9:30Speaker 5

Anything else, Mike?

9:31Speaker 7

That's all I have. Okay.

9:36Speaker 7

I have nothing for court this month.

9:38Speaker 5

Thank you. And I guess we're hard and county order district 1.

9:44 – 10:01Speaker 6

Yeah, we have, uh, on our page 2, we've got several areas of restoration that they are on the contractor. He is on the ground work. Uh, we've given him. A May 20th to get finished. He does not finish.

10:02Speaker 7

We're essentially going to take over at his expense and finish it. And, uh.

10:10 – 10:27Speaker 6

To the free of the really, uh, I'll call them rough places. I'm in contact with the owner. I've called them and told schedule and, uh, uh, given them my phone number and contact information. We got any more.

10:28Speaker 7

Anything else? Just let me know.

10:35Speaker 5

That's all I got. Any questions for. Water District number two.

10:45 – 12:07Speaker 8

We've got crews out on Highway 251, Shepherdsville Road. They are nearly 300 feet from putting Phase 2 in service there. It's a little over 7,000 feet in. They have roughly 1,200 feet left to go. Get that finished, that'd be great. The E-Town Music Venue, our crews laid 16-inch water line around the venue. They're now headed towards 62. Franklin Crossroads yard restoration is nearly complete, about 85%, at least in the yards. We're going to do the field portions ourselves. And we've got some future roads that have come up. Flint Hill Road, Melrose Road, North Hardin Springs Road on each side of Four Corners. and on the east side or each each side okay yeah going up the hill towards uh summit and then back towards the north how many feet of that several high boss count there's too many feet to keep track of the one on going towards norway the longest portion will be going all the way to saint ignatius church there through that s curve yeah

12:12Speaker 7

Pepper, you said Flint Hill and Melrose is only two county roads you got?

12:16Speaker 8

Flint Hill Road, which it may be state portion.

12:23 – 12:35Speaker 8

Now, Melrose is county. Right. We have about 760 feet, 800 feet, and I may have them flip-flopped. That's fine.

12:35Speaker 10

Did that include Silver? Nothing on Silver Mountain down there?

12:38Speaker 8

Nothing on Silver Mountain. Okay. But we're going from 84 to Silver.

12:43Speaker 7

That's thank you.

12:49 – 13:10Speaker 8

Well, there's the contract for the, uh, sewer line for this will serve the, uh. Fire station property in Glendale, so that contract, uh, has been awarded. And, uh, Mark's going to get us, uh. Easiness today, right? And then, uh. Once we have an easement, we can give a notice to the contractor.

13:13 – 13:25Speaker 4

Are you guys still, I know Lisa said she can shout out. Still on track to be done.

13:25Speaker 8

Yes. The 720 project that he was talking about, we have awarded that as well. That will consume the remainder of that.

13:35Speaker 5

The waiting on bonding to get started.

13:46 – 13:59Speaker 1

I didn't know if you wanted to ask for public services if they had anything to report. Yeah, because usually it's with Stephanie. Yeah, sorry. She's not here.

14:00 – 17:18Speaker 2

I've been here a few times in the past. I know a lot of the things we were talking about previously was sorry, and trying to improve on that and hopefully provide a lot more electricity to the rural communities that we're surrounded by. Happy to say we've made a lot of progress there. As of so far this month and even going into last month, outside of planned shutdowns that we've been in coordination with EKPC on, they haven't gone offline. Checked in with them this morning. Gas flow is looking good. We're actually excited with the no surges that we're seeing. So what that means is we got consistency coming through the pipes and that's what you want. That way you don't have any fluctuations where you can't power all the engines that they got there on property. They've had three engines permitted for five. We've been struggling to try to get one to stay online for long periods of time. But right now, you know, we have two engines running. We've had two engines running for about three weeks to maybe a month now. You know, give or take outside of the planned gas construction that we've been working on. And then, you know, we have enough flow to actually power a third engine. And that's EKPC is working on getting that engine back up to, I guess, running capabilities. There's something with their VDF board that they have. But when I checked in with Ben this morning, he said, programming was complete. So we're looking forward to hopefully getting that back online and running probably within the next week or two. So then that way we can have three engines running constantly. And then as far as overall oxygen flow, we've been able to keep that low, which means that we're getting good gas to the plant, which allows the engines to really run at full capacity. So I'm really excited about that. It's been a team effort. you know, between Republic Services, EKPC, Arden County, to get that back online. And I know we've had some even, I guess, greater support people from the area within Republic Services helping us out as well. Even came to visit. And we've seen a lot of progress. We've invested quite a bit as far as into the infrastructure to really get it where we want it to be. And I believe where the county wants it to be. Really excited to see the return on investment rather quickly. We put in about three new gas wells, as well as a lot of rock columns, which is a lot of different, I guess, gas terminology, but essentially it just allows you to get more flow. The more wells that you have in there, the more vacuum you can pull out to get the gas that you need to power the plants. Just really excited to see the continued growth there. I know we're Currently only with three engines. However, if they're permitted for five and down the road, that's the goal for us on the public services side as well. We believe that it's out there. We just got to continue to work at it.

17:20Speaker 3

How many gas wells do they have now with the three new wells?

17:24 – 18:08Speaker 2

Yeah, so we're sitting right around 80 in total for the whole site active wells. We see a potential opportunity to add even more wells in. As we continue to add wells, we kind of see like, hey, there's maybe not an area that we're what we call influencing or catching gas from that might make sense. And so we'll just continue to see where it makes sense to add a new well and start pulling from that area as well and hopefully increase the flow even more than what it's already done because we're about 80% up as far as in our flow prior to the infrastructure edits or changes that we've made.

18:09Speaker 3

Do they keep one person or more than one person on staff out there?

18:14 – 18:48Speaker 2

Yeah, so right now we have, I guess me, I'm on site, but we also have our third party company that we're working with as well that's got years of experience doing this, as well as that area oversight that we were talking about, probably 25, 30 years experience Um, that's monitoring it daily and keeping me in the loop as well. I'm kind of how everything's going. So. Got a lot of eyes on a lot of people, you know, really trying to work to, um. You know, continue to improve it. So excited about it.

18:51Speaker 9

I think, uh, 1 of the things that we can say. I mean, prior to this kind of focus time on this, it was probably a struggle. Would you say.

19:00Speaker 8

To keep yeah, yeah, it's going.

19:03 – 19:19Speaker 9

So I think the. things that you've done in the last several months have been significant, right, to make the improvements that you've been able to make and keep consistent gas flowing to these generators.

19:19 – 19:44Speaker 2

Exactly. That's the word. Consistency is what we're looking for. We knew it was out there as far as the flow, but it was too much of a We've got good flow for a little bit and then it shuts off. Um, thankfully, we've gotten that under control over. Um, you know, just working on continuing to up the flow while keeping that consistency as far as, uh, quality gas to the plan.

19:46 – 20:08Speaker 9

So, I just, um, you know, the additional resources that you brought in. Their expertise is made so absolutely and the money that you had to spend to do that. So it's, um. I guess I just want to commend you on making those changes, making those improvements. And thanks for being here today.

20:10Speaker 7

Any other questions for me?

20:18 – 20:45Speaker 9

So I guess we're good to go. Okay. Yeah. Just two things really the one of those is any discussion on the reappointment of commissioner Mike bell. He's currently the board chairman for a water district too. And so I'm recommending him to be real. For another four year term, starting July 1st.

20:52Speaker 7

Any issues discussion. Not a better man.

20:55Speaker 3

Can't get any better than Mike Bell.

20:58Speaker 5

This was kind of easy.

21:00Speaker 3

I would say.

21:03 – 22:05Speaker 9

Okay. And the second item is more just a heads up that, as most of you know, there's $2 million coming our way to be split up between the two water districts for them to apply to projects that they have. So, so we're still in some discussion right now with the 2 water districts. I've been talking with them on how the best. Split split that money and we're. We're still in discussion about that. So, there's various different ways that you can measure. how to do that. And I think we've been through about three or four of them. So we've got some more to do and we're not in a big rush really. But I would like to try to make a decision and bring a recommendation to you at the next month's meeting to discuss what that

22:09 – 22:21Speaker 1

It's $2 million this fiscal year. We put that in the budget. And then it's $2 million the next year. So I don't know if we could decide on $4 million now since it's $2 million just the next year.

22:21Speaker 8

I think KIA wouldn't want to ask for that.

22:28Speaker 1

Because we haven't heard anything from them.

22:32Speaker 8

We haven't actually got the paperwork.

22:34Speaker 9

I'd say it would come out not by the

22:39 – 22:57Speaker 8

Yeah, well, I mean, and just, I'm just asking, but if there's a project that has to be done, does that money that's going to run it up front for either one, if they started on it this year, would you have, if, again, think on how to split whatever's left over? Because you're not going to just stop a project and then disrupt it, right? Right.

22:58 – 23:23Speaker 9

No, on our side, we would have the funding, interim financing available for them. So we'll try to make a decision. It sounds like all four million. Then at their next meeting, I have a recommendation with these guys on how to approach that. That's all I have.

23:25Speaker 5

Any issues or items we need to bring up?

23:32Speaker 7

I have one other thing that I forgot about here. The county road aid.

23:40Speaker 10

Uh, let's see the county rotate agreement needs to be put on the court agenda. I guess that hasn't been voted on yet.

23:49 – 24:00Speaker 1

It was all it was yesterday. That was all a hearing. Yeah, it was hearing. They did. There are 2 different things. Well, it was that agreement. Oh, I thought they, but that was all through there.

24:00Speaker 10

Okay. I don't think I think there's 2 separate things.

24:03Speaker 1

We have a resolution behind this.

24:04 – 24:17Speaker 4

Well, 1 is a statutory hearing Jenny. Yeah. And then 1 is a resolution. Uh, that two weren't related. I mean, they are related, but they're not the same thing.

24:19Speaker 1

That's going next. Then with stuff I sent Jenny and it had that resolution in there. So I did. Okay. All right.

24:29Speaker 10

So next court next court and we'll I'll get that to be good.

24:34 – 24:55Speaker 7

Sherry. I'm sure he has it. Okay. Yeah. So you don't have to do anything. Have to get it on the next court. Anything else? Hearing none, meeting adjourned.
