I just want to make an announcement to the Mills Park family.

We did have our town hall meeting last night. Very well attended. The Mills Park residents came and showed up. Very spicy conversation. Information was gathered and shared. We did come up with a plan to have another meeting just to address the parking around Mills Park, not within the neighborhood, but just around the park itself. Staff came out, Dr. Rogers gave information about Mills Park and the new construction being done at the facility. They just want to see some renderings of what that may look like at some point in time. So whenever we do schedule this next meeting, at least have some of that in place for those residents in place. Our mayor showed up. She was able to give some updated information about the oil information that we received and very well celebrated by our residents. And again, they came in full force. It was standing room only at Anderson Park, standing room only. But again, thank you to the staff that came out, to our captain who gave updated information. And through our public safety department, through Caitlin, she was able to give good information as well. And also to Mickey. She put to bed a lot of information that was out there that was wrong. And it seemed to now resonate with the residents that some information that they got was not true. So now it's been set straight. Set the record straight.

Oh, okay. Yes. I just wanted to remind everybody, yes, there is a meeting tonight, Del Amo Park. And invite everyone that is in that area, because we've seen renderings, we've seen examples. It's beautiful, but we all have to come out and really let... these developers know what we want on that wall. So it is important. So please, tonight, 6 p.m., Del Amo Park, join us. Let us hear what you think. I have a town hall meeting on the 25th of this month. Mayor, you and I have one. And again, Del Amo Park.

And then I have a request, and this, I know Councilman Jim Deere is not here, but this is something out of his district, and it's regarding Reflections Park. I've been getting... calls and emails and the people in the community would like to know what it would take, how we could add trees and grass and maybe a water source in that park. Again, I'm just answering the question, how do we get that? So it's either Public Works or Parks and Rec. So on our next meeting if you could come back with that answers or if you could get it to me or because it's councilman Jim Deere's Area give him that information so that we could get that out to the community there so that they know what it takes to add those beautification projects to an existing park so if anyone has the answer

The answer is, I think a lot of the concerns were with the maintenance of that facility. There's no grass. The lights get shot out every time you install them. So how can we, until a process has been finalized, how can we make it presentable? Water slides and all that, that's something that has to be approved by the city council during that capital improvement project. But right now, I think If we just put some little grass and make sure it's pleasant for the residents that go through there, that would address it because that's a big issue. But water slides and if we decide that it's not going through the Surplus Land Act, then you come back and talk about it. What it is, how you're going to maintain that facility. Thank you. So that would be the answer.
