WHEREAS, it is necessary to finance two (2) 2026 International Plow/Dump trucks and one (1) 2026 Mack Plow/Dump Truck for the Bureau of Public Works through a capital lease pursuant to General Municipal Law 109-b, consistent with plans in the 2026 operating budget of the Community Services Department; and WHEREAS, the authorization to purchase (2) 2026 International Plow/Dump trucks at a cost of $613,069.55 was previously provided by Resolution 2023-080; and WHEREAS, the authorization to purchase 1) 2026 Mack Plow/Dump Truck at a cost of $356,501.72 was previously provided by Resolution 2024-245; and WHEREAS, the total to be financed for the equipment is $969,571.27; and WHEREAS, written quotes were received from several firms which provide lease financing with the lowest cost quote that of $total lease; and WHEREAS, funding for the 2026 lease payment will be available in accounts DA219785-560500. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes capital lease financing for (2) 2026 International Plow/Dump trucks and one (1) 2026 Mack Plow/Dump Truck for the Bureau of Public Works in the total amount of $total lease with Finance Comp. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
