Let's get started. Okay. Okay. Good morning everyone. Morning. Uh we will call to order the May 23rd, 2025 meeting of the Montgomery County Election Board. Uh we have all three commissioners present. Uh Neil Makija, chair of the board of elections with Commissioner Tom Deello here and Commissioner Jamila Winder is uh on Zoom. So uh we'll start with the pledge of allegiance. I will ask our director of elections to lead us the pledge. United States, indivisible, liberty and justice for all. So, uh, today we're going to swear in the tabulators. Those of you who are can't hear you. Okay. Today we're going to swear in the tabulators, which is you. And uh we're going to get to work. If any of you have been uh doing this for many, many years. How many is anyone doing this for the first time? Nobody. One. We got one person. And how many people have done this for more than 10 years?
20 years. Anyone? 20 years. All right. There's a maybe over there. Thank you. We had another successful election. Uh, you know, went off without any major hitch. Over how many people voted, Frank? We're 60ome, thousand. 160ome thousand. But after you're done with your work, we'll know the exact number. So, at least 160,000. So, we're going to take public comment first, which is something we do before every meeting. Uh if there's any comments uh related uh to this topic, please um come forward or if you have any comments, go ahead. No public comment. Okay, so there are no comments. I'll move on to the consideration of the motion and then we'll swear in uh the tabulator. So uh any any comments Frank explain? Okay. You want to briefly explain what we're doing? Uh we are reconciling all of the ballots uh and polls when they come back and then we are adjudicating any writing votes that we received. Great. Thank you. So I will make a motion to commence the tabulation and reconciliation of the in-person vote of the May 20th, 2025 primary election in Montgomery County. Is there a second? Second. Seconded by Commissioner Bellow. Is there any board comment? All in favor? I I checking I The motion passes. So I will now administer the oath. So I'll try to do this uh a few words at a time. Uh without you, we would go on for months and I know that Frank Dean doesn't want that to happen. So, uh again, thank you for everything that you are doing. It's great to see a lot of us friendly faces and familiar faces here this morning as well and we look forward to uh you continuing this over the years to come because a lot of people don't know this but there's an election every year you know it you know right but actually there's two right primary and general election but it actually is every year and and I'm always I'm always amazed by when I'm out there in the community and people have said oh there was an election Tuesday I thought there was one last year. So again, but you know, it's great to see you here this morning bright and early. I hope you're enjoying the donuts and and everything and we look forward to all your help moving forward as well. So again, thank you very much.
