Item one a, staff recommends that the planning commission conduct a public hearing and upon its conclusion, adopt a resolution approving a development review permit. Application number D25Dash0018 for the addition of two guard shacks on a developed lot located at 1150 Arbor Avenue exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act, also known as CEQA, pursuant to CEQA guidelines section one five three zero three pertaining to the construction of a new accessory structures.

The applicant is Brendan Dwyer, and the property owner is Prologix. Staff report.

Thank you, commissioners. Kelly Jones, assistant planner. This project is for the addition of two guard shacks located at 1150 Arbor Avenue, permit number D250018. This site is located on the South Side Of Arbor Avenue, North of I 205 and slightly west or sorry. Pardon me.

Slightly east of North MacArthur Drive. This site is located in the I 205 specific plan and is designated light industrial. It is designated industrial in the general plan. This project requires Planning Commission approval due to the close proximity of the I 205 Freeway. This is a closer look at the actual project area.

You can see the existing entrance on the west side of the parcel where the proposed guard shacks are to be located. The guard shacks will provide additional security as well as guidance to incoming and outgoing deliveries. Here we have a view of a rendition of where those act those guard shacks will actually be located. You can see that

And then here we have some propose some elevations. So we have the front elevation and both side elevations. And then here we have the interior floor plan just to give you an idea of what these will look like. Here is the landscape plan, which shows that any landscape disturbance due to the addition of the guard shacks will be replaced in a manner to help blend the guard shacks with the surrounding area. This does conclude the staff report. The applicant and property owner, both who are virtually attending, are available for questions as well as city staff. Thank you.

I'd just like to add that these guard shacks I guess the purpose of these guard shacks as proposed development came about because the tenants have experienced some theft from these truck courts. So they they have some security on-site, but they'd like some permanent facilities for the security to get out of the weather or use the the bathrooms. These truck courts or these guard shacks are only about eight feet by eight feet tall by 16 feet long by eight feet wide. So they're much smaller than any trailer that's gonna be in this truck court. So any screening that's proposed for these trailers in this existing facility will be even better screening for these small guard shacks.

Other than that, I think Kelly covered it pretty well. It's a it's a pretty small development on an existing site in an existing truck court. I think that's all I have to add.

I really don't have a discussion, just a comment that the applicant did answer my question. That was one of my questions, was going to be why we're doing this. So understandably, and I saw the design plan, and I see that there's a restroom for them, too. So that's good. So that's all the comments I have to say. And I'm ready for anybody who wants to make a motion.

Okay. I think it was off. So because of the closeness, proximity to I 205, was looking for maybe any visual impacts, But the applicant has clarified the dimensions are insignificant. I was also looking for how the elevation for the structure will be relative to the building. Again, it was clarified that it will be mostly obscured by the vegetation. So thanks for all the clarifications. I
