PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING SCHEDULE FOR THE 2026 CALENDAR YEAR

RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that the Planning Commission approve, by motion, the regular meeting schedule for the 2026 Calendar Year.

PUBLIC HEARINGS/ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENTSItem 5.1

ZONING MAP AMENDMENT, TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP, LAND DEVELOPMENT PERMIT, AND DESIGN REVIEW TO ESTABLISH A COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT LOCATED ON 2.69 ± ACRES AT 9450 WEST LANE AND 1530 EAST MORADA LANE (APPLICATION NO. P25-0025)

RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that the Planning Commission adopt the following: 1. A Resolution forwarding a recommendation to the City Council to approve a Zoning Map Amendment to rezone 2.69 acres (APNs 090-550-64 and -65 from Commercial, Neighborhood (CN) to Commercial, General (CG); and 2. A Resolution approving a Tentative Parcel Map to subdivide 2.69 acres into three lots, a Land Development Permit, and Design Review for two new restaurants and one commercial shell building, subject to conditions.

ELECTION OF PLANNING COMMISSION VICE-CHAIRPERSON

RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that the Planning Commission elect a new Vice-Chairperson to serve the remainder of the current 12-month term, beginning December 12, 2025, and ending on February 26, 2026, in accordance with Standards and Policies No. 1 - Procedural Rules for Conducting Planning Commission Meetings.
