Discuss, consider and take possible action regarding the Sheriff's request for five (5) additional correctional officer positions; determine the fiscal impact and available funding source; determine whether the request may be funded through transfer of existing budgeted funds or otherwise requires an emergency budget amendment pursuant to Texas Local Government Code § 111.010; and, if applicable, make findings and take action regarding such budget amendment.

Discuss, consider and take action to authorize County Judge Pedro "Pete" Trevino Jr., to issue a Request for Proposals for administrative services (RFP) and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for engineering services for the Texas General Land Office (GLO) Disaster Recovery Reallocation Program (DRRP).

Discuss, consider and take action to approve a Declaration for the Local State of Disaster Declaration for Jim Wells County due to the Public Health and Safety Emergency from Drought Conditions pursuant to Chapter 418 of the Texas Government Code.

Discuss, consider and take action to approve a Local On-System Improvement Project Agreement between Jim Wells County and the State of Texas, acting by and through the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), for the Jim Wells County GLO Mitigation Storm Water Improvements – K-Bar Ranch Project (CDBG-MIT #22-085-027-D268), and authorize County Judge Pedro “Pete” Treviño, Jr. to execute the Agreement and all necessary related documents on behalf of Jim Wells County.

Discuss, consider and take action to approve a Local On-System Improvement Project Agreement between Jim Wells County and the State of Texas, acting by and through the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), for the Jim Wells County GLO Mitigation Storm Water Improvements – Rancho Alegre Project (CDBG-MIT #22-085-027-D268), and authorize County Judge Pedro “Pete” Treviño, Jr. to execute the Agreement and all necessary related documents on behalf of Jim Wells County.
