Nobody wants more funding to go to the police department. Council took funds away from the police department. Okay, when we started the GRT process, one of the things that we asked our community was a survey, what would they be willing to pay for? And in that survey, our residents [music] said they would wanted to see more public safety, more streets, more parks, and critical infrastructure. And so, based on that survey, when we were doing education [music] about the GRT vote coming up, we let them know that all four of those categories [music] would be on the ballot. And our community came together and said, "Yes, they wanted to fund those four categories." Council then had to determine what priorities we would be funding in all four of those categories. [music] This is the first time Council has had the opportunity to allocate that new funding. So, no money was taken away from any department, and no money was predetermined where it would go. And so, with that, when Council allocated money, they put money into all four of those different categories. And that again includes public safety, which is police and fire, into parks and rec, [music] into streets improvement, and into other critical infrastructure.
