No, no, no, no, no. I won't do that. I wrote it because I'm a better writer than a speaker. Well, thanks everyone. Thanks Virginia Gardens Major, Council, and MSBG Soccer Club board members for the support and the recognition for these boys' hard work. Without your support, it wouldn't be possible. You definitely make our coaching journey easier. I will always be grateful to this club and community for bringing me in and treating me like one of your own.

That's why I say that. And you really took me as one of your own, so I'm grateful. I also want to thank the boys. We do this for them, and we're here to celebrate because of their commitment and hard work. And last but not least, last but not least, thank you to the parents out there. That's a lot of work goes on day in, day out. I live on the field. I see you guys out here and support your children. Some of these kids are like young adults over here. They already got beards, man. They're already shaving. But on a serious note, A lot goes in. My kids grew up playing soccer. Okay. So we had five, one, two, three, four, five bidders that bid on the project this time. One of the ones that bid last time did not bid this time. They got our, I guess apparently have a job they're going to be tied up on the next six months. So it's a good thing they didn't receive our last go around. So these are the contractors, Pabon, their total pay was $749,500. Who's that second one? JVA. JVA.

They were the lowest on the paving portion by quite a bit. So I know our engineer reached out to them, had a conversation with them. They are confident with the price that they bid. We received all their information today, I believe. Was it today? Yeah. All their insurance liability, everything from them, licenses. That's Hedley?

That's what we're vetting now. So we're still going through the vetting process. We're going to reach out to their, you know, of course, they're going to put people who, all these companies are going to put people who they want to, they're going to put a company that, a municipality or a business they had an issue with, but we are going to reach out to their people that they put as recommendations, and we'll come back next month with the final, the council they want to go with, who they want to go with.

I mean, We've never had an issue with JBA.

We have not, but look at the price difference. It's a big pill to swallow. It's not like it's between JBA and Pabon where it's a price difference, but they're pretty close.

If I may, that we sure curtail any discussion about that until you let administration do their due diligence and provide recommendations to the commission.

And this time around, we actually have four people that were interested in filling that seat. And I actually brought all four names to our meeting. And we let them vote. And this is what we came up with. And I'm seeking approval from the mayor and council.

And I got two letters from two of the residents, and this is one of them. He's been here for 23 years, living in our village. He volunteers. He's a member and volunteers him and his wife at the Fairchild Gardens for the last three years. He's retired, which is good because he's got time to do pre-work for the village. He worked... at Florida Crystals Corp, where they grow and refine sugar cane. He managed systems there, monitoring thousands of acres in Everglades and Okeechobee. He has a small plant landscaping business. He actually sells, in fact, that was like a nursery. He actually sells at the farmer's market here in Miami Springs. He volunteers at Blessed Trinity Church, Knights of Columbus, and he also does work for Habitat for Humanity. And that's what the consensus was unanimous in our department. Any objections on the council? No.

It takes up to three months to receive the agreement. So we just found this out today. So we're almost a month in dealing with DEP at a state level. It's a pain in the butt. Always. Always.

Within the next two months, we should have the signed agreement.

And we have two things. We got a grant for tree trimming. We also got a grant for planting trees. One's at $30,000 for tree planting. The other one's at $28,000, I think. What? $23,000 for tree trimming.

So we'll get it just in time, in the middle of hurricane season, maybe.

If they park on the west side, we tell them to move. Unfortunately, if you want signs to go up, we'll have signs on 67th Avenue from 38th Street all the way to 41st Street. You're going to have no parking signs.

So you need signs to enforce it?

It takes away all parking. So if you live in a corner house, now you can't park on the corner house.

Yeah, you'll eliminate. And we were looking into it at one point in time, and you're going to have close to 30 signs on that street from 38th to 41st because it was going to go all the way around.

There's a lot of people that go there just fishing for maybe an hour or so. They park on the shrub between the – If they park between the – They leave. You know? I don't know. That's not a problem.

I think the ones that stay overnight is a problem. Yeah. There's like four or five parks. But aren't they residents?

Good evening, Mayor, Council, FPL. They're moving along. You love them or you hate them? They started a few weeks ago between 57th Place and west of 59. It was short, so they completed the underground piping already. It's already done. On this side, between 62 and 64, they are already running cables. To us, it looks like it's going slow, but they keep on telling us they're ahead of their due date.

And they're moving along.

Not much that we see, but they promise us they're almost done.

I just want to confirm, if the homeowner, they're going to be restoring whatever they disturbed?

Yeah. Anything, whether it's inside the property or right away, they need to leave it always the same way or better.

Because they went into front neighbor, catty corner. And the whole boring machine would be the property across the street.

So everything that.

I'm panicking. I'm like, no, no, don't worry, don't worry, don't worry. They're going to fix whatever needs to be fixed.

Anything they ruined, they need to re-fix.

They got to go back and that's the right word to use here. Restore. Restore.

So that's their word, and we're going to hold them up to it, you know. It's just like any other project. They need to leave it the same way it was, whether it's a sidewalk that got stained by the bobcat, by the backhoe, or they broke it, they chipped it. We've been in good contact. They have a good contact, James Parker in FPL. He's the project guy from here. And he's pretty good. I mean, I think he's really good.

So he answers calls, too.

Yeah. So he's on top of it all. So I don't think we're going to have a problem. You know how projects are.

Restoration.

So the next step, now they're pooling wire. Their next step is going to be the prefab concrete with the transformer. They're saying by the end of May, I don't know, you got like what, a week left? The transformers are going to be on and energized, up to the transformer, not the house, but the transformers. I don't know. There's only a week left, but then again... I was told by June. By June? Okay, so... I think it will.

Let me ask you, how, like, is it projected? What's the determination, the end date of this?

Well, there's different stages, right? So right now is the energizer transformers, once they put them in, and then after that comes connecting each house. So they'll be knocking at each house. Some neighbors won't be there. Some will be there. They will have to skip some. Then they have to do the connection. of your property. Once that's done, then comes the next stage of the removal of the transformers, the wires, the overhead wires to the property. So it's in phases. Don't have a for sure date on that right now. With FPO, he comes around every couple weeks, so we'll get to more dates when that ever comes.

I'm delaying it. We'll talk later if anything. But just curious, that same neighbor was telling me he has turf on the outside where the power is. He goes, how are they going to come up? Do they have to rip out the turf to bring up? I'm like, I don't know.

Whenever they mess up, they have to go back and restore.

I've seen, I've been in some yards and I've seen some turf, but it's like, yeah, they're going to have to raise it. They're going to, yeah. They're going to have to lift it up if it's, they need, If it's all the way up to the meter, they're going to have to lift it up and then they're going to have to repair it. Our power goes into the house at the back of the house. So we have a patio and the grass in the back is the drain field. Are they going to tear out?

They're not going to the back of your house. They're going straight to the side of your, like this is your house here. Here's the back of your house here. It's on the back wall. They're going right down here and straight across here. They're not going to the back.

Because we, the guy. They probably already did. Are you sure they're not bored yet?

They haven't. They dug a hole by the tree. But they haven't done anything else.

They go from the side around the back of my house right through my drain field. That's where my drain field is. It's not up against your house. The drain field is not abutting the house. It's from your house.

10 feet, 15 feet away from the house, the drain field. So they're going to come right along the edge. Yeah, they're going right along the edge. So they're going to shoot from the front.

If there's a thing coming out of my house into the drain field, then they've got to go that way right through.

Yeah, but that pipe, the pipe that goes to the drain field is what you're talking about?

That pipe is usually a few feet. They're going to go right under that one. They'll go under it.

In some cases, they have to hand dig. Yeah, they do a lot of hand digging when it comes to stuff like that. I'm telling you, they came over here. put a tarp down. I had a lot of rocks there. They dug everything up, put everything back, and put the rocks back.

I couldn't even tell they even did anything.

But yeah, whatever it is, they're going to resell.

And it's a process.

I mean, it's a big project. So basically, we're going to have done all the way from 5-7 place to 6-4, to west of 6-4. Basically, three quarters of the village. Probably basically three quarters of the village. in one shot. It's a pretty big project. Just in this area here between 6.2 and 6.4, there is 43 transformers going in. It could be because there's multiple companies. We don't know that. It's not just one company. The ones that are doing the piping, it's not just one company. Right. They'll bring in three different companies. So one company got between 5.9 and 6.2. Another company got between 6.2 and 6.4. And now another company just finished doing between 5.7 place and west of 5.9. And Springs, they have multiple companies too. Yeah. So there's a lot of these directional board companies. They're small companies, but there are a lot of them.

So they spread the love. They spread the love. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

They ran my wires on cables on Saturday. They knocked on my door, came over there, looked across from me. They ran all of, whoever's going to that transformer, they ran all the lines. So, yeah. Thank you. It's coming along.
