Now we move to discussion items. Recommendation to adopt resolution 2026-002, approving the certification for the Section 8 Management Assessment Program. Is there a staff report?

Yes. Good evening, Chair and members of the Public Housing Authority. Pursuant to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, as known as HUD, the Housing Authority is required to complete a Section 8 Management Assessment Program, or CMAP, for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 2026. The CMAP is a self-evaluation tool used by staff to determine if the Section 8 Voucher Program is operating effectively to help families who participate in the program. The Housing Authority's performance was evaluated using 14 key indicators, including housing quality standards, rent reasonableness, payment standards, timely annual reexamination, and others. staff audited the program and prepared the self-certification form which was uploaded online to hud hud will assign the housing authority a performance rating of high standard or troubled the housing authority should get a response by september 30th this concludes my report and i'm happy to take any questions you may have thank you are there any questions We have 102 vouchers, 97 in the city, plus five portable vouchers of people that ported out to different cities. And we have six port-ins and 261 participants on the waiting list.
