Consider recommendations to the Alameda County Board of Supervisors, on Adoption of the Ordinance Amendments related to Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) and Junior Accessory Dwelling Unit (JADU) to comply with California State law including recently enacted State ADU and JADU legislation, and Adoption of the CEQA Exemption pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15282(h) and Public Resources Code Section 21080.17 which exempt the local adoption of ordinances regarding second units in a single-family or multi-family residential zone to implement Government Code section 65852.2 and pursuant to the general rule in CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3), which specifies that CEQA applies only to any project with the potential to cause a significant impact on the environment.

Supervisorial District 1 staff will present the results from their ongoing efforts to address the community's concerns about flood prevention, preparation, and response in Sunol. ADOPTION OF SAFETY ELEMENT AMENDMENTS.

The draft Safety Element amendments update the existing Safety Element to comply with state law relating to climate adaptation and resilience, flood and fire, and evacuation routes.
