City Commission - Special Meeting

I thought you were April 24th, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. Will the clerk call? Mayor Sharon McDonald here. Mayor Prom Josh Rooden here. Commissioner Bagster Patillo here. Commissioner Steven Bernett is not here. You know if he's gonna He's not coming. He's not coming. Okay. Commissioner Warren Robinson is also not here. Commissioner Al Ernandez here. Commissioner Mark Tapley here.

Madame Mayor, we have a quorum. Okay. Um, we were going to have um Rachel do the prayer and uh Commissioner I mean Mayor Pro Tim Rearen is going to do the pledge. Dear heavenly father, we thank you for today. We thank you for the strength that you give to each one of us. And dear Lord, we ask that you will be with the commission as they go behind closed doors and that you will give them of your wisdom um as they carry out the city business. And we ask that you also bless them, dear Lord, in their homes. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Amen. Please follow me in the pledge. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Can I get a motion to approve the agenda? So moved. Second. So it's been moved by Commissioner uh Tapley and second by um Commissioner Hernandez. We'll put up the vote.

It says it accepted it. I don't know what changes I have to say, but I vote. I

should be 5, right? Yes. Okay. And the vote passes 50. Next on the agenda is adjourned into executive close session in compliance with uh 1015-1H2 NMSA1978 as amended to discuss limited personnel matters hiring city manager. And we need uh a motion on this one. So moved.
