Council - Special Meeting

This is the East Lansing City Council special meeting of Tuesday, September 8th, 2026. It's 5 30 PM. Could we have the roll call please?

Motion by saying second by Grigsby any discussion all those in favor say aye aye any opposed motion carries the agenda is approved Is there a motion concerning closed session? I will make a motion to enter closed session to discuss and consult with the city's attorneys regarding privileged and confidential attorney client legal correspondence that is exempt from disclosure by state law under MCL 15.243 sub one sub G as allowed under subsection eight sub one sub H of the Michigan Open Meetings Act.

And I believe we are on item 3.1 of the special meeting agenda. I believe there are no motions that anybody needs to make. So that brings us to communication from the public. I received a number of slips, which I will call during public comment in the regular meeting, which will start as soon as we adjourn the special meeting and take five minutes to transfer our tech over. NONETHELESS, EVERY MEETING HAS PUBLIC COMMENT. AND SO IF THERE IS ANYBODY WHO WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK DURING PUBLIC COMMENT IN THIS SPECIAL MEETING, PLEASE APPROACH THE PODIUM AND STATE YOUR NAME. SEEING NONE, ARE THERE ANY CALLERS? THERE ARE NO CALLERS. SO THAT COMPLETES COMMUNICATION FROM THE PUBLIC FOR THIS SPECIAL MEETING WHICH BRINGS US TO ADJOURNMENT. IS THERE A MOTION?
