So part of our procedure here, just so you're aware, is when uh businesses change ownership, even if when it's in the family, such as in yours, and again, uh sorry for your father's passing, um that we require um at least to come before the board and let us know. So u we assume you're not making any changes or doing anything else.

Um our process is uh uh the liquor commissioner's office, which is the mayor's office, uh upstairs, will um work with you to put together the paperwork, um process that through along with we've obviously already got you on file. Um but any kind of background check or anything that might be necessary, and then um uh uh any appropriate fees, transfer license, etc. is taken care of and uh will be issued. Okay. Um, just a quick statement. Thank you for being pro business. We've been in this community since 99.
The village has been really great to us and to our family and to my father. And so I just um, you know, on behalf of the family, we want to thank all of you for just being awesome to the business community and keeping our community safe. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. Um, so yeah, we just opened up and um, what we are trying to do here is like with the wings and the sandwich and all the items that we have on the menu, we'll like to offer um, like beer and wine for the people to enjoy um, the dining um, area mostly. Number eight, liquor licenses. Uh one day liquor license requests. A the motion would be to ratify the request from Mr. Fred Hoffman of Chandler's Chop House for one class Ded 1day liquor license for Seavora event on Thursday, February 19th, 2026 at 1501 Eastwoodfield Road and wave the fee. Nine proclamations. A certified government financial manager month, March 2026. B. National Community Development Week, April 6th through 10th, 2026. C Proclamation Fair Housing Month, April 2026. D. National Landscape Architecture Month, April 2026. 10. Transportation Committee. The motion would be to authorize the village manager to execute an intergovernmental agreement with the Shamberg Township District Library regarding library locker installation and operation at the metro station and approve the required resolution. 11. Zoning Board of Appeals. A. The motion would be to approve a special use for a gymnasium and parking variation for ETSs Performance 1056 National Parkway. B. The motion would be to approve a special use for a tattoo establishment for John Bass Art, Inc. 235 West Gulf Road, Unit 175. C. The motion would be to approve an amendment to municipal code title 15, chapter 155 signs pertaining to old Shamberg Center sign regulations. D. The motion would be to approve an amendment to municipal code title 15 chapter 154 zoning pertaining to administrative approvals. 12. Award of bid. The motion would be to award a bid for the Walnut Lift Station Reconstruction to the lowest responsible bidder to Mayo Brothers Inc. of Elcro Village, Illinois in the amount of $2,99,770. 13. Resolutions. A. The motion would be to adopt as resolution number R-26-022
authorizing settlement of the proceed proceeding of Ysef Utum versus village of Shamberg. B. The motion would be to adopt as resolution number R-26-023 authorizing the village manager to execute an intergovernmental agreement with the Shamberg Township District Library Library regarding library locker installation and operation at the Shamberg Metro Station. 14. ordinances. The motion would be to weigh first reading and adopt as ordinance number 26-023 granting a special use for gymnasium and parking variation for ETSs performance 1056 National Parkway. B. The motion would be to wave first reading and adopt as ordinance number 26-024 granting a special use for a tattoo establishment for John Bass Art Inc. 235 West Golf Road, unit 175. C. The motion would be to weigh first reading and adopt as ordinance number 26-025 amending title 15 chapter 155 signs section 155.210A2 of the municipal code pertaining to illumination of signage in the old Shamberg center. D. The motion would be to weigh first reading and adopt as ordinance number 26-026 amending title 15 chapter 154 zoning section 154.51a of the municipal code pertaining to administrative approvals. Uh first one is there was a resignation on the environmental committee that I did forward on to you from Rak Rata. Raka.

Not too bad. um uh apparently resigned from uh was effective immediately uh resigning from the environmental committee um at this point and I do believe we have an open so if you know of someone that would be would like to join it um let me know. And then I had a very nice um I won't say exactly who it was from, but very nice letter um let's see that uh saying that they're very happy living here in Shamburgg. Um I want to give a special praise out to two groups. Fire Company 51. Where is Chief Fabio? Are you over there somewhere? I hope so. Anyway, you're around behind.
Okay. All right. Anyway, so uh fire company 51 apparently this gentleman used them for his himself and his wife over the years and the EMT and fire personnel professional and the actions but also in caring. They helped us many times whether picking up my wife off the floor when she fell or rushing her to the hospital for her heart. So second group is senior services. Cannot say enough good things about the group of dedicated people. I'd like to recognize Kathy Hkelman for all her help and mental support uh during the last two years and uh Kathy's got quite a group that does a lot of that stuff and really helps out peoples and uh just a a great lady in doing that. So um just want to give a shout out to those two groups. Thank you. Uh that's all I have. Manager report.
Um I just have one item uh that I want to mention this evening. Um most of the board and a lot of the staff and and some other volunteers were at the grand opening today for the Andredy indoor carding over near the convention center. Um I just want to congratulate the board and and all the staff who worked on this project. Um it's another trophy uh for Shamberg, a great asset. Um going to be a great economic driver uh for Shamberg in the future and um need to make sure that we thank the staff that were involved in this. um everyone from Matt Frank uh to for helping the uh with the property uh transaction and making sure the sale went through. Um Julie uh Fitzgerald and Todd Winganger and the staff and community development including all the inspectors um who helped get the project built and open. Uh Matt who's helped oversee the construction of that facility and also the parking deck next door. um just been a great win for the village and uh congratulations are certainly in order. So thanks to everyone.
Yeah, clearly a phenomenal facility. Um so if you get the chance even just take a walk through, even if you don't spend time there, that's fine. Take a walk through and see what was been done there. It's it's unbelievable. 98,000 square feet and I forget how many millions that the Andredy family has spent doing this. So they said approximately 45 million. Yeah, 45 million. So, um, great. If you've got kids, leave them at home. Just kidding. Bring them along. They'll love it. Bring them along.
Yeah, they will just love it. So, uh, had opportunity, uh, we all did had an opportunity to to ride in in the, uh, carts today. They're electric, which is really different than driving the old gas powered ones. Um, they really respond. It was like, holy cow. A lot of fun, though. So, great to have him here.
