United States of America to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, liberty and justice for all. All right. Need a motion to approve the minutes for the October meeting. I'll make them a motion to approve the allowance docket.
I'll make a motion to approve the stock. here monthly reports department reports utility superintendent Mr. Cody Walker done last month. We've done 10 loads of leaves. We pulled our waste water from the pond. We dug up and measured two box extension. We're going to replace one pond and one down by the top. Uh we removed the lower deck. We took the track down the pond. to put salt on that.
Uh, we filled the hole that you want to fill up. Uh, our shirt set. We'll have to fill it tomorrow. We're picking up sticky now. I'm turning to Daniel. We're getting all I'm getting all my signatory stuff changed over as far as being allowed to sign off on paperwork. I got alliance coming in tomorrow for the wastewater side. Make sure I'm pretty sure all that done, but he's been able to make sure on 24 the water guys come in. I'm more concerned with that side make sure it's not the same as right
and I'm not sure how to do that. We got a quote for which I gave you. Yes. Responding to a bunch of pretty pretty quick. Uh I only got three or four left. tomorrow. I made a checklist for like check, you know, that help them understand where it's at. And I also wrote down the procedures for that. You can study it.
That seems to be the hardest part of that water. As far as what we got going on for the future, here we got this salt box. Uh be moving the back cut down the ponds, cleaning the leaf back after the season's over. Uh I know that we're at least going to go till Monday kind of see, but I know main street about leaves. They go green. Yeah, still hang on, but there's not a lot left. You're not picking up tomorrow? I got to help. Yeah, that's fine. I'm going to be trying to catch up.
Hey, they're all back in New York. If there are some out there, if we have time, is that all you got? They fix it in 2000 meters coming next week. That's it. [clears throat and cough] This grater box, is this something we need now or this grater box something for spring? What do we need for that will be for doing stuff? Yes. On the box. I think what is going to discover when he puts that thing back on that box to where he's the box.
Well, I'm telling you, I tried to that greater box two the new tractor it's not comp class two versus class three is that I think it's just an age you can't I don't know how you rather than getting another box all we got to do is either switch the pins on the box or switch the balls on the tractor Yeah I'll go I I'll look at it see what I mean oh I know absolutely What you mean where it swings? If something happens that John won't swing as wide as that box, they can take the pins off and put them on the inside. Right.
You'll know what Yeah. What he's showing me is that hooks to the
All right. We'll look at that before we make a decision, but I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something we needed for. No, it was just purely for Mark wanted me to get Gotcha. All right, we'll look at that. Uh, thank you. Good. Hold off salt cuz no more snow. I don't want anymore. Marshall report. Uh 16 calls for service, six traffic contacts, one bin check, two assisting other agencies, one ordinance violation notice, two more golf.
Oh, they put that on there, too.
44 [clears throat] two animal complaints. See, treasure insurance plans. It's, you know, got the the insurance renewal packet um with plans to choose. It's kind of like choose your package if you want for you guys to look over and decide if you want to stay with what we've got, if you want to change plans. The plan we got honestly and it's not worth. So I don't know what I didn't go through there my decision but I think you probably need to look at it since January that's all everything else same old same the I think the December
[snorts] soon gets back when
for January for 10th of January hydrates Well, Kim, we'll just roll right into you with the water project.
Uh, we are waiting on state revolving fund to give us a date for the pre-construction conference. So, I'll let you know, Cody, whenever u they give us a date, the contractor here and council will be invited. Uh, we'll have a pre-construction conference and then give them notice to proceed. So, that will probably be one day next week and then they'll be given notice to proceed. So that continue or move forward in probably December somewhere in that time frame. Okay. And then could I do two other things real quick? You've got the floor. You're next on my list [clears throat] business. So you say what you need to say.
Um we uh have been working on a solution for your live video feed uh to to the internet. And uh the first two months it was due in July. It was it was should have started in July. We couldn't find the password. Whoever had the password couldn't lock us out of Google for two months. So once we finally figured that out, uh we put the video online for October and uh September. So we are in compliance. The only thing we're not doing is live feeding. And the reason why is because with the council meeting locations change and we we could have put a permanent camera
anywhere in here, but then if we move it then then we're going to be out of luck. So,
so we have a iPad solution where we can just roll the iPad out, push a button, and recording live to the internet and then that will be ready tomorrow. I didn't get it quite done today, but it will be ready tomorrow and it will be ready for So, we are in compliance. We just aren't live feeding and we will be live feeding at the next council meeting. So, to those who don't like that, I apologize, but we are in compliance. We are working towards that goal and we are allowed some technical difficulties. Um and then the other thing u I wanted to address and I think is probably goes along with this one. Um there is a provision uh in state code and and councils can choose that if there uh there's a absent member they could call in telephonically as long as you have ordinances to do that. I think that
ordinance for two years. Yeah. So that that that that is allowed and there's nothing wrong with what the council Okay. All right. That's all I've got. I'll shut up. Thank you. Thank you, Kim. 4 shooting sports. I'm guessing that's you. Sorry. I thought it was at the reading room. It moved. Sorry.
Um I just need I have the limited liability or the liability insurance and I need the contract signatures. Um I got two copies, one for our return to the extension office. Uh or you can keep a copy. That's up to you. That sign This is for you. signatures.
I got the contract here. Andy shooting range. Uh nothing's changed to the contract. Everything's still the same. You can sign this. Yeah. Secondly,
I also bring up some um the our parking lot is getting extremely limited because the dumping ground keeps expanding further and further out. I I didn't know if there was a way that it could be moved to one end or I guess condensed in some sort of way cuz last year we had a lot of rock piles and brush piles and there was people coming down um while we were on the range and just dumping stuff out which I mean always the town of Kansas and everything but just
so that was just question to present. Uh yeah, that's something we'll have to work on because there should not be public down there while shooting that. And there was a bunch of like um just chopped up wall gravel. that I could burn.
You say one of these are ours or both are yours? One is yours and the other one. One of yours. And then I'll give you the rest of the So you have to sign this.
Email back to you. Just take email back together. That way we can file it. Thank you. and we'll work on that to figure out how to keep up with you. Can I also say something? Not as the clerk treasure, but as a resident of that street. Sure. Your parents driving on a Wednesday night is horrible. They are speeding out that street like crazy. And there are some kids that play on that street. It's bad. I mean, they're they did the top of that hill. 55 mph down the back street audience.
I'm a new coordinator this year. So as parents come and check in for the members and everything, I will address that and remind them to stay safe and follow especially is that down there at Sanderson Street there's no yield or stop going straight turning the whole bit and it's nasty. Yeah. Yeah. I will definitely address that when we come to range time. Okay. Thank you. Absolutely. Uh we're also on the search for a new attorney. Our current attorney an has announced she stepping down the end of next month after decades
34 years for the town. So yeah business part of it. Uh we have no utility adjustments, ordinance violations, any public comments. Council comments. I have uh I do have new business for the council. We have a estimate which I have left for the alleys get graded, rolled and stone brought in for $2,100 to fix all our alleys, smooth them out, rolling up the roller. We get a motion to approve the work. He'll start sometime hopefully this week. He said before it gets cold.
Hey Jeff, there might be an adjustment that Brent didn't know about going back to the station and Cody said it's getting pretty rough. So I thought you thought you were about going back to the one going back to west too bad. So yeah, if there is, we'll deal with that. But the current estimate for 2100, I'll pay their estimate. So it's I just did one where all that extra money needs to go. [sighs]
Okay. But also um I've got you seem a couple complaints during Halloween and then here a couple days this week I've got a couple complaints. There's a couple boys that are one of them is on a stand up electric scooter and one of them is on like an electric motorcycle and they fly up and down 218 and somebody's going to get you know they don't look when they go out on the road or nothing. They just go and you know I I I don't know what the rules are as far as electric goes. that.
All right, I'll second that. Uh, also we need to our police department currently has unsecured email addresses and although until recently I hadn't heard of anybody in town getting hacked but apparently it's happening. So, uh, they had made a request to get the email switched over whether we make it a general email for like chief of police.gov gov whatever and change the password title positions change or we give them in their name but they need to be switching over to agov and it's a nominal fee uh $500 a year I think to get the secured emails I'm not sure of the number but it wasn't a lot but uh it was brought up that it needs to be secured so they can share information cases they have going they're not allowed to transfer [clears throat] they're not secured so we need to get them secured email
I will second that motion that's all I As far as that, how are you on here? They opened up ready for vehicles. We got see if I move that over.
Well, when that gets done, it's on my list. I just thought on your project list. Oh yeah. Okay. Good deal. Where are we at with the banners, too? You going to switch them? I was going to wait till after uh Thanksgiving Christmas. Okay. Did we get the lift fixed? Yes, we did. Well, good. I never did hear how much last month.
Yeah. And he ground down the old welds and put new welds on. safety first. All right. Uh Camden Holiday Bazaar is November 29th in this building. Uh next month's meeting we are going to move to Thursday, December the 11th. We're going to back it up one day to a scheduling complex, but we will move it back one day to December the 11th at 7:00 in the community building. And that's all I got. Make a motion to journal. Talk to you later.
