City Council - Regular Meeting

On July 22, the Norwalk Public Safety Department held a Coffee with a Cop event at the Senior Center. During the meeting, public safety officers and Norwalk Sheriff's deputies met with seniors to discuss safety and security issues in the area. Later that same day, the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Business Expo in conjunction with the Norwalk Summer Concert Series at Norwalk Park. Local businesses and educational organizations came together to showcase their products and services to the community.

We're at the business expo. We do it every year. There's a great turnout all the time, and we love getting to know the community of Norwalk.

Norwalk came together to make a difference on July 25th as public safety officers, recreation and park services staff, and students from Norwalk High School joined forces for a community cleanup. Together, they helped clean up Front Street while supporting the city's ongoing commitment to creating cleaner, healthier, and safer spaces for everyone who calls Norwalk home. That same day, the Recreation and Park Services Department brought bark and bruise back to Robert White Dog Park for its second year. Residents enjoyed a fun day at the park with their four-legged best friends, complete with coffee from Café Tumbado, local pet vendors, and convenient on-site dog licensing. On July 29, the City of Norwalk and Norwalk Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Sal's Psychiatry Services. City officials, state representatives, and Norwalk residents welcomed South Psychiatry Services to their new location on San Antonio Drive. Later that same day, Mayor Jennifer Perez and Councilmember Tony Ayala attended the USA Track and Field Junior Olympics Opening Ceremony at Cerritos College.
