And then the Animal Control Deputy Director will go from a 14 to a 16.

0:11 – 0:27Speaker 4

So those will go through at the same time that the second reading of the budget goes through. You guys will see the job descriptions along with the pay grade classification chart, the approval of that. The next thing, are we good there before I move on?

0:27 – 0:53Speaker 5

Yeah, before you move on, let's make sure that we are good with that. Any comments from committee members first? Seeing none. Any of the fiscal court members? I think we've talked about this extensively, and it's pretty clear. Of course, we had our first reading, and these were all included in the first reading of the budget. So, good? Okay. Thank you.

0:55 – 1:08Speaker 4

And next thing I have is the holiday policy. And so I'll hand this out. The top one front and back is the draft. And then the back one is what our current policy states.

1:21 – 2:49Speaker 4

THE ONLY MAJOR CHANGES THAT ARE HAPPENING TO THIS POLICY ARE GOING TO BE THE EMS. YOU'LL SEE THAT ON THE SECOND PAGE, ACTUALLY, G. WHICH IS WHERE THE HOLIDAY POLICY BASICALLY WE WILL PAY ANYONE WHO WORKS ON THE HOLIDAY they will be paid the hours worked on the holiday along the holiday. So they shall receive holiday pay if they actually work on the holiday, on the designated holiday, up to a maximum of 24 hours. And then the other change to that is employees not scheduled to work and who do not work on that holiday will not receive holiday pay. Clarification, this is for EMS employees assigned to a 24-hour shift. So that is who we're talking about when we're talking about that change. There are some other clarifications in this. Nothing is changing the way it's administered at all. Basically, it's clarification, and so you can read it and clearly be administered type of thing. But there's no changes on how Any of the rest of the policy is very.

2:50 – 3:03Speaker 5

I understand this is a wash we talked about this last week at the services meeting. And they as far as budget concerns and how it will affect budget. This is a complete watch.

3:04Speaker 4

The numbers have been running money was running. Yes.

3:09Speaker 3

So there's no impact at all. No, if anything, it's a little bit better, but hundred dollars or so. It's no cost.

3:20Speaker 5

I thought I saw Mark.

3:21Speaker 3

He's over there.

3:23Speaker 5

Oh, okay. You're behind Larry.

3:25 – 4:04Speaker 4

Okay. I thought I saw you. I do want to clarify, I have not had a chance to send this to Jenny. My plan is to get that to her today. i don't see any issues with this but i run all policies through her just to make sure um so if there are any issues that this is not planned to go on next floor it will be on probably the june 5th anything because i want to give her some time to make sure okay after she looks at it i don't know about sure i think we have a little time for that okay that sounds good that sounds good all right mark did you have anything you want to add to that

4:06Speaker 2

We'd like to start this July one. That's kind of how we were in the numbers. Okay.

4:12Speaker 5

We should have plenty of time to do that. Any fiscal court members, comments, questions?

4:22 – 4:33Speaker 1

I was just curious that since I assume that the words out there more amongst the EMS employees, have you had any, is it still the same that the vast majority of employees are in favor of this? Yes, sir. Okay.

4:35Speaker 5

And it only affects the 24 hour shift employees.

4:43Speaker 1

So I think it says if someone only works 12 hours that shift and gives up their only other 12 hours, they'll get 12 hours holiday.

4:49Speaker 6

Anybody else have any concerns?

4:57 – 5:12Speaker 5

We good with this? All right, so we'll move it forward to either the next fiscal court meeting or the one after that, depending on Jenny's review of those. I think that's all you had, Becca? Yes.

5:13Speaker 4

That is all I have.

5:15 – 5:31Speaker 5

All right. Thank you. Aaron sends his regrets. He had a conflict with the state, so he won't be here. Animal control. I think Sharon is here. Hi. Hi.

5:31Speaker 3

We don't have anything.

5:35Speaker 6

Let's talk. Do you have anything?

5:41Speaker 6

And Laurel? I do not have anything.

5:44 – 6:14Speaker 5

Okay. I don't see Sarah. All right. Well, I'm going to... Nothing else listed on the agenda, but I will ask, is there anything that came up at the last minute that anyone needs to discuss or share that would be impacted through this committee? I'm hearing anything. All right. That will adjourn. Thank you. Appreciate that.
