1:503

Thank you, ma'am.

1:534

Kathy, can you please call the roll? Here.

1:562

1:582

Here. Here.

2:05 – 2:194

So if there's anybody who wants to speak on anything that's not on the agenda today, please see Clark Haley, and she'll give you a form to fill out. If you do want to say anything, just remember to keep it to three minutes. Mayor's report. I'm not going to skip you this time.

2:19 – 6:281

Okay, thank you. A few things. Pro water cross event was held last weekend. Two weekends ago, I'm sorry. Great event. Had double the contestants they had last year. And be on CBS Sports coming up this month, I believe. So I don't know. Hannah, have you heard anything on that or? Okay, so that's a pretty cool event. Tomorrow morning is a Peace Officer Memorial Service 9 a.m. in front of the Sheriff's Office. It's in honor of the National Police Week. So it's tomorrow at 106 at 9 a.m. It's in front. There will be a 21-gun salute. So if you hear a gunfire downtown, it's because the Sheriff's Department is doing it. On the 16th of this month, we have the fire department's bike rodeo. They put this on and give away bikes and teach kids how to ride bikes and get helmets and fix bikes and serve food. And so they do a pretty good job with that. And that will be right in front of the fire station. And just an update on the burn ban, they extended the burn ban to June 16th. It was up today, actually on Cinco de Mayo, but they've extended it until June 16th because we're not getting the rain that we should have. Got a few proclamations here. Are you guys here for Fred Carino? All right, that's what I thought. I'll meet you down here. Okay. or environmental change. 7:33 – 9:584

Yes, ma'am. One more thing. You're still on the show.

9:58 – 11:391

I got one more. I just, you know, I don't want to leave here in 10 minutes, so. All these people paid a lot of money to come. All right, the last thing I have is getting ready for July 4th, the 250th anniversary of our great country and the birthday of our country. So we have this year, Scott has gotten with the fireworks people, and he sent two proposals. One, the first one was a standard one that we have every year. Find it. Too much paperwork. But there's two proposals to bless you. Thank you. The first one is kind of our standard show that's usually about close to 25 to 30 minutes. They put on a good show. There's 2,680 shots going off, so it's a lot of up and down, but they do a really good job with it. It's Pyro Display Company, which is a local company that puts these on. That cost of that is $27,225. This year, with the 250th, it talks about getting maybe a little bigger show. And so they're looking at 3,030 shots, about a 30- to 40-minute show, which I think we'd honor our country with. And also, they have a design of a flag that's, how big is that, Scott, about 8 feet, 10 feet wide?

11:403

Six feet, it lights up.

11:46 – 12:061

It's pretty cool looking, but that's in addition to what they want to do. And that's only, you're only about $3,000 more for the bigger show. And I think for the 250th Tonner, our country and our veterans and everybody that serves, I think I would recommend that. I'm asking council your opinions in the first place and then get a motion to approve.

12:104

I'm on board. I agree, and I think Swain and Liddell might be able to split the difference, or Stewart Construction.

12:192

Or HTA.

12:214

Hold on. I'm all in favor. It's a great idea.

12:251

Good. Can I ask for a motion?

12:284

I make a motion that we approve the bigger show for the 4th of July.

12:331

Second.

12:344

Got a motion, got a second. Any comment from the audience?

12:432

Yes. Yes. Yes.

12:46 – 13:081

Yes. Thank you very much. I think it'll be an exciting show. And the Historical Society is organizing an event down on the lake for that same day. It has several different events going on. So it'll be a good day. Good day for our country. 250 years and we're still alive. Thank you, Mr. Mayor.

13:094

Moving on. Anything else?

13:111

No, thank you.

13:124

Moving on to councilman comments, concerns and liaison reports. No report. No report.

13:211

Nothing that surprised me.

13:22 – 13:334

All right, let's go and move on. And I don't have anything to report either. So I'm moving on to the consent agenda. Any questions on that? Take a motion.

13:330

We'll make a motion that we approve the consent agenda as presented.

13:364

Second. Motion and a second. Any comments from the audience? No? Kathy?

13:442

Bishop?

13:452

Liddell? Yes. Stewart? Yes. Hayward?

13:474

Yes. There is no old business. There is no new business. There is no business from the audience. And Bob, unless you have anything? No, sir.

13:562

Did you have one thing from the audience?

13:594

No. She left. Oh, I'm sorry. Okay. Thank you for saying that. Scott, you're up.

14:07 – 15:483
