And Chair Malden? Here. Thank you. Will you announce the meetings video recording? Tonight's meeting will be recorded via zoom and can be viewed on the city's website within 48 hours of adjournment of this meeting.

Thank you. All right. Members of the public wishing to address the Planning Commission for any matter not on the agenda may do so at this time by completing and submitting a speaker card to the Planning Commission clerk. For items on the agenda, speakers will be called by the chair at the point on the agenda when the item will be heard. Speakers are encouraged to keep comments to three minutes or less and to state name and community of residence. Under the provisions of the California Government Code, the Planning Commission is prohibited from discussing or taking immediate action on any item not on the agenda unless it can be demonstrated to be of an emergency nature or the need to take immediate action arose after the posting of the agenda. And Kelly, will you announce public comment, please?

Nothing this week.

Oh, I do. Just a couple of quick things. With the help of a lot of various people in the community, this afternoon, the new hammer cage at Cordova High went up. It's been quite an effort to get that thing installed in a very short period of time. For those of you that don't know, we have several star hammer throwers at Cordova right now, one of which is Siri Polipati's son, all of whom looks like we're going to send maybe three, maybe four students on to college on throwing scholarships. So but unfortunately, we needed to do a unscheduled, very quick replacement of the hammer cage so that they can continue to compete and earn those scholarships. So we had a lot of students out there over the last four weeks and other community volunteers. So that was really great to see that go up. Heart Stoppers, as you all know, is right around the corner, giving me some great headaches.

Screaming kids.

And then on a more somber note, some of you may remember Marie Beck Steger, who was on our staff for several years and is probably pretty well known around this building with some of the people that have been around for a few years. suffered a very serious heart attack last Monday. She has been sedated since then. She's had emergency surgery last night. I haven't heard how that went, unfortunately, but it is a pretty serious condition, situation for her, and she is far from being out of the woods. So Thoughts and prayers are appreciated in that matter. Our hearts go out to the whole Beck Steiger family for that. And that's all I have.

Yes, just one reminder. We do have Good Neighbor Day next week on Thursday. I'm forgetting the date already. September 17th. It's going to be at Countryside Park. Tentatively, it usually starts around 530 and goes until 730. So it's a good time and we get to see other staff members from the city and then partner agencies that come and just welcome and talk to the community. So that's all, Chair.
