Thank you. For the And for the record, uh Bishop Hilton, there you are. I see your face. Hey, Bishop. You have anything, sir. Madame Mayor, I'm here for the record. I was in close session. Thank you. Noted. So noted. Um, we don't have any introductions or presentations. Any communications? Uh, no, Madame Mayor. Okay. Any communications from my colleagues?

9:10 – 9:450

Madame Mayor, just want to let the residents know that there is a Black History program this coming Friday at the Carson Community Center. It starts at 6 PM. Hope to be there. Uh we didn't have any minutes, any consent, no special orders of the day. Um we don't have any memorial adjournments. I take it. None. No. Madame mayor comments. Council dear hearing none. Madame Mayor, if we may uh or if I may, the city attorney wanted me to read the statement regarding council member Hilton so that way it was for the record.

9:44 – 10:190

Yes, please. And it just states that council member Hilton is participating and has participated remotely pursuant to the Brown Act uh teleconferencing provisions. The council determined that the requirements for remote participation had been satisfied. Um and that council member Hilton has confirmed um for the record that he was participating as we saw as we just saw from a private location and that no uh unauthorized persons are present were present or able to hear or observe the close session discussions as uh stated. Thank you.

10:16 – 11:010

Thank you. Uh I do want to announce that uh the city state of the city is coming up on March 19th. Uh, registration is open for Carson residents and and our business community. There is a flyer that's out. And I want to pass this to our city manager, hoping that our program looks something like we did last year. I think you have a copy of it. Uh, and then I also want to meet with staff about updating our little booklet here. We did it in 2025, but do we need to update this now with some new or we want to wait? I think Madame Mary, your idea and thought was to wait

10:57 – 11:370

um for the No, the Yes, the 60th. Oh, it's the 60th anniversary. We do have enough of these to hand out to our guests that are coming to the city. That's correct. Arman, you have a stack of these. Okay, everyone. Okay. This is something we put together. We want to expand it and grow on it. So, thank you. Thank you very much. I do have a question. Are we going to print enough of these for our visitors during the Olympics so they they'll be able to take something with them? A good souvenir for them? Yes. Actually, so because the Olympics or something wherever they're coming.

11:34 – 12:180

Yes, sir. Um, so the Olympics is is actually the 60th anniversary of the city. So, we're going to update the Carson magazine or our I don't know what we're calling that publication, but um our history book, historical book, but we'll have an updated one uh representing the 60th anniversary. And so, that's the one that would actually be available for the Olympics since it's the same year. Um because I think the idea was to do a smaller celebration on the 60th earlier in the year so that way we're not conflicting with the 28 Olympics, but that was going to be a major piece is then the updated historical book. So we're handing it out now to our guests to come to the city.

12:16 – 12:500

Those ones? Yes. Yes, ma'am. That that's the one that we're we're providing and producing still. Um, but then in two years we'll have the updated for the 60th and that's that'll be a nice one that we'll be providing for residents as well as guests. Yeah, we have this for the state. We gave that out last year. State of the city. I mean, yes, ma'am. I don't know if we're going to have Yeah, we gave that out last year. We gave that along with produced jewels, bags, cotchis. This year, I think there's something special,

12:47 – 13:200

not as elaborative. Um but definitely um a momentum moving um cotchki I guess you would say that we'll be providing along with the book. Can we have a few of these available because I know a lot of the businesses already have this but just for some our residents just on a table. I don't want to put them in every bag like we did last year. Oh sure. Yes ma'am. Have some copies printed. We can do that. Absolutely.

13:17 – 13:570

Okay. And then also remind me to start putting together our 60th anniversary planning committee. We'll have to start Cedric. We'll have to start planning uh the 60th anniversary and getting that together. We need a whole entire year. Cedric. Okay. Trying to go to seat. Thank you everyone for information. and it was a good meeting and uh we'll see you soon. Thank you.

13:530
