Is there a switch on yours turned off?

6:26 – 7:100

All right, it's 5:00 p.m. We'll call the meeting to order. Elizabeth, will you call the role? Councelor Gilmore here. Woodley here. Stone here. Rhden here. Boatright here. Vice Mayor Batty? Yes. Mayor here. And we have a quorum. Uh move on to the consent agenda. All matters listed on the consent agenda are considered to be routine by the city council being acted by one motion. There will not be separate discussion of these items. If discussion is desired, that item will be removed from the consent agenda and will be considered separately. Does anybody need anything pulled? No. I'll take a motion to approve. Motion councelor Stone second. Councelor B. Elizabeth, will you call the roll? Councelor Hammer? Yes. Woodley? Yes. Stone?

7:10 – 7:350

Yes. Outright? Yes. Batty? Yes. Mayor, yes. The motion carries. Now, on to scheduled business. Item number one is discussion of possible action to approve the emergency purchase to request. Excuse me. I'm sorry you didn't call me, but I say yes. I apologize. All right. Well, I just wanted to make sure everything's correct.

7:34 – 8:000

All right. Move on to schedule business. Item number one is discussion of possible action to approve the emergency purchase to Lone Taker Cattle Company in the amount of $108,750 or $575 ft of sewer line pipe bursting and installation of three manholes on Main Street to ash. Mr. H. How's everybody doing tonight? Good.

7:58 – 8:560

Good. Today. Tonight, my days run together anymore, so I don't know if it's day or night. I don't know if that's good or bad, but uh basically what we're running into, uh we had an issue over on Stonewall where that street has been walled off for a little while. Um that vault underneath that street is filling up because it feeds from the uh lift station. The problem that we're having is that's backing up. We have nowhere for it to go. Um we've jetted and flushed those lines down through there. We made it just so far um over by a jet tire. We made it to there it turns into clay transite pipe and it's collapsed. We've we've videoed the line. We got the camera stuck. Uh they got the jeter stuck. They actually broke the jeter head off underneath the railroad tracks. were able to retrieve it and get it out.

8:54 – 9:390

Uh, Lone Hickory came, they jetted the line and broke a head off, too. And we were able to get it out, but basically, uh, we knew we were going to have, cuz we did approve this last one, we knew we had so many feet of it that was going to have to be replaced till we got here and realized that that was all collapsed. Uh, what they're going to do is they're going to be pipe bursting underneath the railroad track. Uh, so that we're not having to deal with railroad issues either. Uh, and we're just going to do away with all those manholes, put the new manholes in because a lot of that stuff is collapsed and that way we don't have to come back in here again. It's basically all there is to it. So, we want to have new line from point A to point B and then we don't have to mess with it anymore. So,

9:37 – 10:080

where's point B? Where's point B? How far how far you cross the railroad track? You going back up behind jet tire? Yes. How far past jet tire going? There is back on the other side of the railroad tracks. Uh like I said, it's a total of 575 ft there. Okay. Uh from across the highway across uh from Jet Tire, uh and I don't remember what business that is that's across the highway there.

10:05 – 10:510

Are you are you're taking it across 69 or Main Street? Yes, it's going to go it's going to go uh through Maine and then go underneath the railroad tracks into that uh field back behind jet tire where that other manhole is. They're going to be replacing that manhole with a new one because it's collapsed and caved in. Also, it's an old brick manhole. They're going to be redoing that one, replacing it. Uh we're going to remove a manhole by jet or by the uh railroad tracks. That one will be coming out and a new one will be going in there also. And then another new one here. Basically, it gives us shorter runs so that whenever they are able to jet it, they have shorter runs and they don't have to go so far.

10:48 – 11:330

We're concerned about the monument place. They're sir, they haven't sir in a while, right? Is it going to be included in this? Are we just unstopping it up to where they're at? This is just going to be unstopp. what that is going to do because I myself and Jared are looking into the monument place. Uh we're actually I've come up with a couple solutions. We have two different solutions to get them piped into the manhole across the street directly from them because right now they're looped way around and all of that line is collapsed. Now this is going to give new line in that area for us to attach them to. So we'll be able to get them taken care of through this. So

11:31 – 12:120

okay. So, this basically starts you on the west side of the track, go underneath the track, you've got a manhole, eject tire, go across business 69, and then you have a manhole where the previous big shop was. Right. Right. And I have a diagram here if you guys want to pass that around and take a look at it. That way, you have a better idea. Lucky that monument place is in my ward and I and I've talked to the other bureaucrat out here. No know nothing about you, but over two years been trying to get them sewer. I thought it was I thought it had been done. About 3 months ago, me and my wife went in there and bought us a $6,000 headstone from Richard there

12:09 – 12:510

and and his bathroom had no out of order. And I I looked at I said, "What's wrong with your bathroom?" The city had never hooked my my sewer up. We have a retail business that hadn't had sewer in years. And you know something else? They've always paid sewer bill. I talked to them today. They're being charged for sliver and they hadn't used anything. Right. I I actually went and spoke with him just uh I don't know, it's just been about two weeks ago now. Uh and I've been down there twice to talk to him. Um I know he said that he had jetted his sewer, had had them come out. All about you and come and looked at it.

12:48 – 13:220

But where they jetted to, he's not connected to. And that's how I found out that he's connected in a long roundabout way. But those lines are collapsed. So that's what this will help take care of. They'll put new line in there. So this what we're going to vote on tonight. We're going to get it taken care of. Okay. I'll tell him tomorrow. Yep. And what about his his money? Will that be reimbured? We won't we won't to him. He's guess he needs to come and ask this. Take a look at

13:19 – 14:010

Yeah, Mr. Boatight. that what that did we have replaced a certain amount up to that point already. So there will be new line there. This is where we got to and then these were collapsed. So we'll have uh that good line up there will be across the street from him. And like I said, me and Jared are working on a situation right now where we can get him taken care of. Dusty swing with the old blacksmith shop. He'd like to get up that too. Okay. Any other questions? We have a motion to approve. Motion councelor Brady, second councelor Quley.

14:02 – 14:330

Elizabeth, would you call the role? Thank you. Councelor Roden. That's you. Okay. Okay. Yes. Councelor Boight. Yes. Councelor Batty. Yes. Gilmore. Yes. Woodley. Yes. Stone. Yes. May. Yes. Motion carries. We're now back.
