Damn it. Anyway, start out with uh police and fire. Councilman Elliot. Thank you, Mr. President. We'll start the meeting here at 6 o'clock. Uh I'll go to uh Chief Meckllinburgg. We have one thing tonight. The fire levy. Would you like to the fire levy? Yes, sir. Talk about that for a few minutes.

0:52 – 1:370

Yeah. So, this is uh Aaron, if you could help me out. Which uh legislation is this for the levy? Uh, yes. This is to get it on the ballot in May. Okay. This will need to um have council approval to have the the fire levy renewal placed on the ballot in May of 2026. And I don't believe we need an emergency. We do. We say do we need an emergency? We probably do. Yes. the county was very behind in on many things specifically uh um some fiscal office stuff and uh the reason that this is being passed on emergency tonight is this is due to the board of elections on February 4th.

1:36 – 1:570

Thank you Aaron. I know we have been waiting for this uh from the county for weeks now. So um and there's no uh it's the same as it always is. Correct. Correct. Yes. Yes. It's a renewal. It's a renewal. Nothing added on to it. No, sir. Um, anyone have any questions on my committee?

2:00 – 2:450

Anyone from council? Anyone else have anything to say about the No. No. Okay. I make a motion to you need to place this on the tonight's agenda. Tonight's agenda with an emergency. Okay. Make a motion to place the fire levy renewal on emergency for this evening. I get a second, please. Castanzo second. Roll call. Castanzo, yes. Kelly, yes. Elliot, yes. Thank you. Uh, Chief, anything else? That's all. How are the uh repairs going? They're going. I know we just asked you a few weeks ago, but I'm trying to stay on board. We got a new committee member, and you might have questions on that.

2:43 – 3:280

Yeah, it's moving forward. Um, there was a little lull with the holidays, but uh it is very loud and very uncomfortable at the station right now. And uh just so things are moving along. Great. Uh Chief Salum, do we have anything tonight from you? No, I don't have anything in the folder. Nothing. Want to talk about anything or No. Nope. Nope. All right. Does anyone have anything to say to the Chiefs? Anyone? Just uh council chair uh just swore in three new three newbies, which was exciting. Some some young guys and that's exciting. So this evening probably as well.

3:29 – 3:550

Great. Anyone else on council have anything for the chiefs? Council member Mororrow. No, talk to them later. Okay. All right. Um, with that, I'll make a motion to adjourn. 603. Can I get a second? Castanzo second. Roll call. Castanzo. Yes. Kelly. Yes. Elliot. Yes. Thank you. We're adjourned. Thank you, Councilman Elliott. We now go to public works with Council Prom Castanzo.

3:54 – 4:370

Thank you, Mr. President. Uh, I'd like to call my committee to at 6:03 p.m. Let the record show that both Tom Snitzky and Mike Maro are present. Um, nothing new on my folder today. Uh, Director Brida, do you have anything coming up or anything you'd like to talk about? Uh, no, not at this time. Thank you. Um, okay. Uh, Director Garrison, no, not at this time. Thank you. Okay. Um, any anyone on my committee have anything to add for public works at this evening? Okay. Council as a whole, mayor, anything for public works today?

4:35 – 5:180

Okay. Seeing nothing, I'm going to close my committee out at 6:04 p.m. Do I have a second? Second a motion. Roll call. Snitzky. Yes. Mari, yes. Castanzo, yes. Thank you, Council Prom Castanzo. We now go to community service with Council Person Kelly. Thank you, Mr. President. We'll open our meeting tonight at 6:04 p.m. I have both members present. This evening, Director Terry is out due to illness. I also have nothing in my folder. Um, what I'd like to do right uh now is make a motion to excuse Director Terry from our meeting this evening. Car has a second. Roll call. Curazzis. Yes.

5:16 – 5:530

Kelly, yes. Kelly, yes. Okay. No, you're right. Um, as I said, I have nothing in my folder. Are there any comments by committee members? I have nothing. Other members of council, administration, or the audience for community services? Okay. Okay. If there's nothing further, I'll make a motion to adjourn community services at 6:05 p.m. Curia has a second. Roll call, please. Curia. Yes. Kelly, yes. Kelly, yes. We're out at 6:05. Thank you.

5:51 – 6:310

Thank you, Council Person Kelly. We now go to finance. Uh I'm going to open up at 6:05 p.m. Uh both uh committee uh members are present. Um first thing I have is a moral claim this evening. Um, I'm going to read uh what was given to me from the finance department. Said after findings reviewed by our moral claims committee and recommendation from our engineer, this is a reasonable request and therefore recommend approving the reimbursement in the amount of $270.33 for the repair of the mailbox at 120 Panama Panorama Drive. Kim, you want to get up and speak?

6:33 – 6:440

Um, just thank you for approving the matter. We were we didn't get any final results. Well, we still have to vote tonight, but that was what that's what's recommended to us.

6:41 – 7:470

Um, yeah. And the reason for the request was because when they repaved the road, that's when the damage was done. And we thought that the contractor would have been responsible for it. But when the engineer came out, just seeing the damage, I mean, we have rebar in there, we have cement, we have it's very sturdy, and nobody could have backed up into it. They would have damaged their vehicle had they done and they would have damaged the mailbox also if a person in a regular vehicle would have touched it at all. So we're assuming because we don't have video of the actual event. Um so really that's it. We can't we can't say that an actual individual did it. And the damage only occurred while the street was being repaired. And it's been there since 2002. We've had um snow plows go by, garbage trucks, mail trucks, and never had any damage until the construction.

7:45 – 8:280

Does anybody have any questions of the committee? You have anything, mayor? No. Recommendation was to Yeah. Fulfill this. Yeah. I'm gonna call call for a vote for the committee. I'm going to do a roll call. Council prom Castanzo. Yes. Councilman Morrow. Yes. Curiosis. Yes. Thank you. I do have pictures if you need additional. I I'll call you tomorrow. Thank you. Anything else for finance this evening? Nothing. Okay. I'm going to make a motion to go in executive session for employee compensation and console organization. Do I have a second? Second. Roll call. Yes.
