Um, so if you guys know anybody want to serve the city in that capacity, please feel free to pass that message along. We appreciate all our volunteers. Couldn't do it without them. All right, takes us next to our financial report, Mr. Larry. Good evening council just going through five months through this fiscal year but this is a financial report through November looking at the general fund total revenue 6544892 total expenditure is 8 million12870 with a net deficit of 1,ion567977 of course we're getting into December where property taxes will start coming in so that that I'm sure that and we'll be back in the black by the end of the month. So, uh so that'll be we're pretty much in line with all the departments as far as expenditure. So, everything's looking good at this point. On the uh enterprise funds uh water fund total revenue is 2,078511 total expenditures 1,607966 net revenues over expenditures of 470,545. Uh sewer fund total revenues 2,439 738 total expenditures 1,895184 with net revenues over expenditures of 544 554 and then the gas fund total revenue is 1

4:02 – 4:54Speaker 1

829 940 total expenditures 1 595 723 net revenues over expenditures of 234,27 uh solid waste Total revenues 2 million 54 951 total expenditures 1 million is 606 523 with that revenues over expenditures of 448 428. So most all the enterprise funds are holding their own so they're looking good also. So if there's any questions on the detailed financial report that you had gentlemen everything's good and good right fine to come on all the finances for appreciate you brother.

4:52 – 6:35Speaker 1

All right that takes us to our city manager report this evening as Mr. Vice Mayor, members of the council, uh, this week has, as we all know, has been a very eventful week. Um, I'm happy to say that both of our officers are home and recuperating. Uh, we had our city Christmas party or lunchon that officer Gaskins was able to attend, so he was well on his road. I did I did attend to Officer Fford at his home on his returned from gravy. Uh very very heartfelt and I just like to reach out to all of the staff, all of the residents in the area. It really does warm the heart when you see the residents stepping out and stepping forward uh to welcome Officer Colford and Officer Gaskman back home. Uh outside of that, I've been speaking uh with um more business matters. I've been speaking with some other agents regarding some property. I've worked with uh Cordel has uh brought it back up. Uh been speaking with some real real estate agents about a property in town that may fulfill the need. I'll update that uh to the council if that bears further fruition, but uh we have a need for storage for a lot of the Christmas items that we've been purchasing and Adam's running out of space to put it. So, we're trying to be creative and finding ways to get that through. And I've approached one property owner where there's some warehouse space available about possible donation to the city for a tax deduction.

6:35 – 7:59Speaker 1

Uh so, we'll we'll see how that works out. Um on another avenue, Joselyn, I've been speaking with HR and Joselyn's working on an RFP for a wage and salary study. Uh the city has not completed one since prior to CO uh along that line just to get a handle on where we stand to give us a preliminary hit. Uh the city of Cordial completed one approximately a year and a half ago. They put it into place last year and I've spoken with their HR director and they're going to be providing us with uh copies of the nuts and bolts of that report. So it'll give us an idea of where we stand as we evaluate our competitiveness in the market in the area. Uh how long staffing uh the economic development director position is still open. We've conducted interviews and URA and DBA board chairs and myself are in the final stages of making a selection uh for community development. I have hired uh I mentioned before I have hired the uh planning and zoning administrator and he will be starting with us on the 22nd. Uh spoke with him this morning and he's excited to be here. So looking forward he'll be in town this week.

7:56 – 8:30Speaker 1

Good deal. All right. All right. Thank you, Jeff. See you report. All right, gentlemen. Takes us to our council comments. Anybody have anything they might want to share this even? Uh just want to give a big applause to all our uh first responders and stuff all the events that did take place. It's just amazing to see everybody. Happy business accordingly and prayers out to all to our force to to the ones that were injured during the time and y'all have a merry Christmas.

8:27 – 9:57Speaker 1

Uh I agree with u Councilman Hall and also I just wanted to u remind everyone about this weekend at Pucket Park starting at 1:00. Uh, I'll be doing the community Christmas event. Uh, fire department, police department. I believe the UPS truck is going to try to show up as well. And, um, we also have, um, bouncy houses are going to be there too as well. Uh, so please, um, share, um, in the community, uh, for kids that need, uh, have some type of good Christmas or pre Christmas uh, to come out to Park at 1:00 p.m. uh, which should be 1 to 4:00 p.m. Thank you. All right. If I may add one thing, uh, council member, you remind me events going on uh, this week on Thursday for any parents of young kids. Uh, they do have they've got the the K-pop Demon Hunters live show at the Tip Theater this Thursday. And the only reason I know about it is because of my daughter, but it's apparently a big thing uh among the young children. So, I don't know what the status of tickets are right now, but if they're available, I know your kids will love I know people's kids will love it if they get uh get to go see it because the my four-year-old sings the songs word for word. So,

9:55 – 10:24Speaker 1

Okay. Yeah, it should be a good good event over there at the theater. Hey, anything to keep kids entertained. I'm not real familiar with K-pop, but I I wasn't until about 3 weeks ago when my daughter started youtubing the videos and singing and dancing along. And you were dancing right along with her, weren't you? No, I don't. Dad, no.

10:22 – 11:06Speaker 1

All right, guys. I'm going to wrap it up. Um, want to wish everybody a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. Uh, just kind of piggy back off of city manager's uh, comments. You know, when something happens that tragic in our community, it it affects everyone and uh, you know, like Houseman promo with stage one Tiffan and we're we're one big happy family and I just want to thank God himself for, you know, saving the lives of those two gentlemen. And I just want to give big thanks to everybody that was there helping on the scene and and uh trying to take care of business and get things done. But with that being said, um is there any more business coming before the council? Seeing there is none, I call this meeting a journ. Thank you.
