General Legislative Session - public_hearing

Good morning, everyone. Snohomish County Council is called to order for our public hearings. Agenda today is Wednesday, September 16th, 2026. It's 1030 a.m. We're meeting in the Jackson boardroom and also remotely. I'll read the script for public comment and then take roll. So public testimony will be opened for each agenda item. We'll take testimony beginning in person and then remotely on Zoom. Click on the hand icon to raise your hand. Council considers Ordinance 26-035, approving and authorizing the county executive to sign amendments number one, to the interlocal agreements between Sonomish County and the City of Bothell concerning solid waste management.

Good morning, Chair Dunn and Council Members. For the record, Deb Bell, Council Staff. Proposed Ordinance 26-035 was first heard at the August 18th Public Infrastructure and Conservation Committee and would amend the existing ILA with the City of Bothell for solid waste system services and planning. The proposed change would amend the annexation date to after December 31st, 2012. This would allow for a consistent solid waste service schedule and provider area. The requested action is for council to take public testimony and then consider the ordinance. This concludes my staff report and I'm available for any questions. Thank you.
