Good evening, sir. Hi, how are you? Good evening, sir. Good. Fantastic.

0:12 – 0:530

Your dad's office looks amazing. Those guys do great. Great. Great. They're just amazing. Him and Josh just get it out of there. Even the wall they put in between that plastered it. That's so cool. Yeah. Looks so nice, isn't it? He was quite a catch. Frankly, I've asked the police department if they would like to have our offices and then and then we would work maybe over here. Well, that's my as soon as I finish this. That's my next I'm going to get these get to know these contractors pretty well and I'm going to start getting bids on I want to fill in the furnace room.

0:51 – 1:350

So, so the problem with that is I'm sorry Joey is that's where the water comes in the building. We can fix that. We can fix that. But but I offer them that ours and then they could have the records room for the uh evidence locker. Gotcha. But I can fix the where the water comes in. I'm actually doing modifications that way too. So, right, I can fix that. I accessibility. I just think that it's I don't know if we can if we can move where that water comes in. They wouldn't want the evidence room to be part of that in case there's a water break or somebody needs again because then somebody's got to monitor all the time. What I'm saying, I can open you up those three. Yeah.

1:33 – 2:160

Kind of put that all together over there. Well, so if it was actually Shel's idea and let them move into there and and they could divide my office into two for the sergeant and the the uh chief, right? And give them all kinds of room. Plus, there's access right out the door to parking. Mhm. And so I I said, "Think about it." I mean, nothing set in stone, right? But then Tony could do something amazing in here because the three of us don't need that much room. We don't need that much room, right?

2:13 – 2:580

Frankly, close to the hallway, too. Well, entrance. some sort of walk up window so that wouldn't have to track all the way down. How goes it? Pretty good. Yeah, I saw your tax. Just a thought. How was I got that figured out? Figure out how to shut off this side of the building with something better than just one of those cage gates because then PD would still have access. I don't know. I also got Josh has got one prize on it's always something

2:54 – 3:380

yes for you got a grant well Christie thinks that we can find a grant pretty easily for what's that for the door access to the access yeah probably I think we could probably find something do we have a grant right here Christie she's pretty good at it she does for the Okay. Even better. Even better. I think she's proficient. She's a pro. She goes GPT something just as good as the next guy. But she goes to a grant class at least once a year. Hey, that's even better. Look, I you know,

3:36 – 4:200

not volunteering her for anything in her free time, but No. No, but I'm being serious. Sometimes it's money well spent to have somebody Well, write it. make sure it's western the Western Regional Council. We're a member of the Western Regional Council. They will help us write grants. That's even better. And and that's part of the membership that we pay for them. So, and they have written some big grants for us. Oh, yeah. No, they that's great. I just know it's very tedious and the amount of research you have to do to do some of that stuff sometimes is a little there's a lot to it. It's not just something you can Doesn't feel like it.

4:17 – 5:000

Slap together quick. So, yeah. No, it's I'm glad we have her. It's uh I just know it's good resource. Yes. Money well spent. Oh, dude. There she is. We were talking about We're talking good about you. Good about you. Only good about you. Oh, good. Yeah. Actually, actually, you need to have a talk with me. No, I was like, do we have a grant writer? And I said, well, Christie writes at the school.

4:58 – 5:110

But that's what I said. I was like, you know, it might be worth it. Okay. I have been re doing some research.

5:14 – 5:550

What do you didn't ask too much. Your office looks amazing, doesn't it? I know, but we're put in there once a week. No, it's just amazing. It really is also gives me ideas, you know, modifying that modifying this. I'm thinking yes department of education 200

6:07 – 6:290

I know there's a lot of Zach said he heard that we're supposed to get the same amount that we got this year. So hopefully next year. Oh yeah. Yeah.

6:25 – 7:090

What else can we do? Hey, who's the guy that no I know you also the same Carl has lost a lot. He used to be first started for us. He was four pounds and then he lost weight and then he had the lap time for everything. So this time this is just

7:05 – 7:320

they finished I had never met him before until this was Jimmy's kind of understood that Jimmy's in one of the recommendations semi-retired. is only going to do more stuff more. Well, nice young man inquire.

7:350

Yes, they do. Thank you very much.

7:42 – 8:020

I can look I can look them up online, I think. Okay, that's what I'm let. I think that's all I need. I just have to get that done this week. I think he has to have it by March. I think

8:05 – 8:380

how are you? Oh, man. I'm good. I'm old. There's people. Well, you know what? I'm working on 83. So, I'm gonna just continue working on Good evening, Bill. Good evening. Hello, sir. I have you on the

8:35 – 9:200

big I was a normal by 47.

9:170

I wasn't surprised. I'm just

9:290

I don't have any more notches.

9:360

I've never had that before.

9:440

Heard all about it. Not at all.

9:590

Yes. And she puked right in front of her bedroom. So I had to clean up before I could get out of the room while she's standing there.

10:12 – 10:230

He felt better. Yeah.

10:29 – 11:090

Number one, Ann would not have allowed me to slept. I was I was ordering a carpet cleaner at 4 a.m. so that I could be delivered by six. It's a way to do it. It's absolutely the way to do it. I'm going to test this prime out. Okay. All right. I've got six. Let's call the meeting to order, please. Start with the pledge of allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

11:10 – 11:500

Welcome everyone. Welcome everyone. And YouTube land. May we have a roll call, please? Yes. Gillis here. Bugs here. Smith here. Fleming here. Rose here. Cruz here. Thank you. Um, everybody's had a chance to look at the minutes. At this time, I'll take any questions, comments, concerns, or a motion. Make a motion we approve last uh last meetings minutes. Second. I have a motion from Alex, a second from Dave Rose to approve the minutes from 22 226. All in favor say I.

11:46 – 11:570

Opposed. That will carry. Um I do not have any correspondence this evening. Leads me to you, Herb.

11:55 – 13:460

Thank you. I just have a few things that I'd like to run past you just to keep you up to date. Um, we uh have hired Bill Atwood to dig our graves. Our equipment is real big and we're into the section three and four and we just can't get in. Just cannot get in there. He's got a little cat back hoe and all the right equipment. He digs I think he digs grace for 40 cemeteries. very confident, very affordable, and you know, that just works out well for us. Um, what brought this to head was that we uh were to bury a lady from Bartonville, a Carol McCoy, and there was just no way we could dig that grave if we didn't dig it by hand. I don't know about you, but I'm not much of a digger. So, we we asked him and so he has done three graves for us now. and we'll dig one more on Friday. Um, very very confident. Um, we are we will continue to do our own cremation digging. We will dig the cremations because we can do that. We've got the equipment. We've got the manpower. It just works out well. Excuse me. Um, but our burials for the past month has been McCoy from Bartonville, Pico from Bartonville, Stanley from Peoria, and then, uh, Jim Perry is Friday. You may not remember Jim Perry lived over on East Line Street, um, lived here forever, married to Dorothy. Um, anyhow, was Becky your age, kid?

13:42 – 14:250

Yes. Yeah. Okay. Uh anyhow, um our new my new office I love and it is it's wonderful. Uh Tony and Josh has done an extremely great job. You know, the ceiling tile, the flooring, everything is just great. Um and they got a couple more things to do to complete that. They're going to put in a new countertop, which I don't need that sink. It didn't work. Uh, other than that, we are um we are ready for the world. So, get the opportunity, you want to come by and look at it, you're sure welcome to do so. Um, other than that, I don't have anything else. Any questions?

14:24 – 15:020

How much was it to do the upgrades to your uh your room? I know the rough numbers. I can't give you the exact number, but it around 1,600. Okay. You know, for everything, lighting, ceiling, tile, cleanup, everything. Awesome. Stick your stick your head in there because that's that's the future of this building. Room by room by room. They did an amazing job. That's exactly it. That's kind of what I was I was getting at is just kind of an idea of how much it was just to complete that room. And then, you know, plus plus the windows on top of that. Oh, those new windows are windows were about 500. Yeah. But still, I mean,

15:00 – 15:440

but I got to tell you, the girls had the had the window open in the office today and there was a screen. It's really cool. All right. Any questions? Hey, sir. The the digging of the graves, too. We're actually probably going to net better than that because that's for what it costs for a bill to come and do it. By the time we did the math, we probably had more in it. Oh, we had over $1,000 with the people, our people, our equipment to dig this. He charges us $700 to dig that grave. and he comes back and cleans up and fills in. It's he does an phenomenal job. Okay, thank you guys.

15:42 – 15:540

Thank you. Thank you. Uh we don't have any old business tonight, but we've got some new business. So, here we go. Rest on.

15:51 – 16:360

First item I have for new business is a discussion possible action of ordinance number 2026-02. This is the ordinance that returns the tiff dollars for the surplus area back to the county to be redistributed. Distributed distributed. It's easy for me. Um back to the taxing bodies. Like to make a motion to hear ordinance number 2026-02 by t second. I have a motion from Joey, a second from Dave Rose to read 2026-02 by title only. That's a roll call. Gillis, yes. Bogs, yes. Smith, yes. Fleming, yes. Rose, yes.

16:36 – 17:150

Cruz, yes. All right. So, this is ordinance number 2026-02, City of Farmington, Illinois. an ordinance declaring surplus revenue in the Farmington TIFF district special tax allocation fund and authorizing payment of that surplus revenue to the Fulton County Treasurer for distri distribution to affected taxing districts on a PR-rated basis for tax year 2024 payable 25. That is your first reading of ordinance 2026-2. like to make a motion that you wave the second reading on ordinance number 2026-02.

17:15 – 17:540

But ID do has asked us to pass these four ordinances from 217 South Main to 701 South Main. And for those of you who haven't gone and looked, that is Spenc City to the nursing home. I'd like to make a motion that we read this by title only.

19:09 – 19:540

This is this is nothing new. This is to make sure that we are doing nothing but parallel parking. This already exists. Okay. But because of the project ID do is up wanting to make sure that everything is updated so that there is only parallel parking on the side of the road where they're doing the work. Makes no sense to me, but I don't work for a governing body. Like to make a motion to wave the second reading of ordinance number 2026-03. Second. A motion from Joey.
