Golf Commission - Regular Meeting

You are good. All right. It's 4:30. Let's call the golf commission meeting the order. Uh set the record that the meeting is being videotaped and audio will be posted to the city's YouTube account. First item on the agenda is the uh approval of the minute from the last meeting. Make a motion to approve the minutes from last meeting. Second. All in favor say I.

Anybody opposed? Uh just an update on the building feasibility study. Uh we met with the architects week ago. No, two weeks ago. They walked the uh walked around and asked us a bunch of questions as to you know what we want in the restaurant, what size, how many people and stuff like that. So they're going to put together like four options and then from there we'll move on. Is there a date when they'll have these four options or they just that's kind of they're working on I think they're waiting on something from the city for topography or something like that. Well, civil engineering civil engineer.

Yeah, they're probably going to go through zoning too. That's make sure slow in the beginning. Yeah, he probably I would say it's probably something in the springtime. Oh, that's my guess. Do you have any subsequent meetings at um after this or you just wait until we do unless unless they have some more questions or something like that. I think we'll probably have another meeting. Um but I think once we get to four options then we'll you know the city's uh committee will probably meet just to go over those options. Thanks.

Uh Dan, any update? Um, real quick, um, Saturday is my last day. 20th from for the year. Not for my career. We've had enough. We've had enough jokes.

I'm sure I'll still be here early next week for a little bit just to clean up some stuff. Um, my network membership cards from W Tech for next year. Um, uniforms are ordered should be here soon. Um, and I kind of forgot about that. We had money for WXLO for the tradeout. So, we are actually running those right now pushing Amy's awesome online presents for uh gift cards that can be purchased online. You know, she's kind of kind of brisk.

Turn on 1045. They play them all morning longard mentioning it, but they're like, "Oh, I heard you pushes everybody on the website from there. They can order online now. Um, so that's the first start of an online person. So that's good. Thank you Amy for all that stuff cuz I would never be able to do that. What system are they using like to It goes through our city. Yeah. Um, other than that, that is all I have. I just had a question on the lost and found. You have You want some? No. No. Don't you have those uh people lose their um rangefinders. That is not included.

That is not No, I'm holding those because people may come back in the spring. Those are not value. Yeah. Exactly. There's club covers and water bottles at this point. So, okay. So, if you need a club cover or water bottle, come on. No, range is not there because I save those. I've saved those things for a couple years now. Christmas. Yeah. Okay. question. Are the same people coming back next year for the tournament committee and they handicapped you? Oh yeah, we I started doing stuff on Zoom. We've been getting together in person before June took off to someone Zoom meetings. Yeah.

Yep. Bill, any update? Um I said it a little bit earlier, but all we're doing right now um is tree work, limited tree work and more brush work. Kind of like what we've done the last two years cleaning tree lines, trying to speed up play. Um, a lot of that undergrowth, first 10, 15 feet on each side of every hole. Um, we're clearing like crazy. So, um, that's the outside stuff. The inside stuff, same as every winter. Um, the mechanics go through everything, grind all the reels, um, clean everything, grease everything, all full service on everything. Um, so full winter motor. That is all.

All right. Any questions for Bill? Uh there's no correspondence. Do you have any comments? I would just like to thank everybody who golf the garden golf course this year, members and non members alike and thank Bill and Dan and the entire staff both the pro shop and maintenance for they did all next year. All right. So revenue we're at $68,000. So we're at 47% of our revenue. Uh expenses we're at $494,000. Most of this is normal expenses probably. Do we pay the 5,000 to the did something that's in there. Um, actually [clears throat] I take that back. The I think it was like there's a small amount. It was like 3100. Oh, okay.

Oh, yeah. I can check and get the right number. I think everything else is pretty much ordinary. Paid for it yet. No. And we we don't know how much it's going to be ultimately. No. The first contractors we dealt with have not responded back to our calls. I reached out to another company. Actually sent the guy a follow-up text today waiting to hear back from him. So everything's going to have to go through a new quote again and hopefully be approved to do it now through everybody. Local, state, everybody. Yep.

So basically you just look at the stuff in stock. Just got to find the company, go back up to purchasing, make sure they're up to stuff and get in. But yeah, that's going to be that'll be a chunk. We're going to we're going to have an ugly June meeting obviously budget wise compared to the last couple years. We spent a lot of money. Yeah. But but that won't go in until the spring, but it'll be this fiscal year. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah. Yeah. Unless they call me and they say, "Hey, we have divers and frog men who go in in January and February." Fire cuz the lake is low right now. So, it would be pretty nice. Right. Really low. Really low. You can't see the pipe, can you? Yeah.

Yeah. It's not It's not out of the water, but you can see down through. Yeah. Water's low right now. Does permission expire at some point? I don't think so. No deadline. Start again.

I'm going to start. Uh so as of right now we're in the uh we're in the block of about 115,000 but they'll take the 260 for the indirect cost. I think they take that in January I think.
