Lucky me. Lucky us. Okay. We do have An item on the consent calendar and this is a community and consent calendar forum. Anyone in the gallery or those online who wishes to speak on any matter, not on the agenda or on a matter of the consent calendar. We do so now, Madam clerk. Thank you. We move to the consent calendar items typically considered routine and therefore Approved on one motion. There's only one item. Looks like a good one. And it is to authorize the city manager to submit an application for funding the Marysville Violent Crime Response Initiative. I'll read all this and then we'll pass it. Recommendation, adopt an appropriately numbered resolution authorizing the city manager or his designee to submit an application to the Department of Justice Office of Community-Oriented Policing Services for funding for $200,000 under the fiscal year 2026 Community Policing Development Microgrants program to fund the Marysville Violent Crime Response Initiative. What is the will of the council? It's on the consent calendar.

Item number two on the agenda. Adopt an appropriately numbered resolution to appoint Bruce Mattacavoli and Mr. Brad Hudson to the office of council member and canceling the November 3rd, 2026 election due to only two candidates being nominated for two open council member offices. Recommendation, staff recommends that the city council adopt an appropriately numbered resolution appointing Mr. Bruce Buttigavoli and Mr. Brad Hudson to the office of council member for a full term of four years in lieu of an election and canceling the November 3rd, 2026 election pursuant to California Elections Code Section 10229. Probably have a lot of discussion on this one. This is... Back the child to to y'all are running and. No competition is really a great compliment to both of you and I think. Something of a compliment also to the city itself. Council management, what have you. This is really. Really a good thing. So pleased to be part of this. Any other comments.

I'm glad you're still on the team. It's been wonderful serving with you for almost two years. Look forward to my next two years and seeing you guys in your following two years.

And you didn't lose your job as vice mayor. So to the chair. Yes, sir.

I have a comment or two. Please. So for the past five years, I've had the pleasure and the honor of working alongside both of you. And I have to tell you, I am relieved that this has occurred because I know for the next four years, the city of Marysville is going to be run as well as it has with you two involved in it for as long as you have. Well, yeah, I know, but still, there's hope. And your committee appointments, I admire and rarely, rarely disagree with and am pleased with. your committee appointments uh... especially left to thank you and i look forward to that smooth transition which is really important as well uh... and so you know we have a lot of work to do we've done a lot of work together and i'm pleased that you're both here and the most important thing is we don't have to look at those horrible Signs in everyone's yards. And I'm looking forward to Councilman Rollins' suggestion on that matter later on in the future. Back to you, Mr. Mayor.

The only advice is that if you ever get a challenge coin, carefully reread it. What is the will of the council?
