[Music] It is 7:04. I'm going to call tonight's cable advisory committee meeting to order. Um, we're we're good. Yeah, it'll I project nobody's ever said they couldn't hear me. Um, so we're going to have to do roll call because we do have a participant via Zoom. So, all present. Roy I Corson I uh Megan I Bob I'm here.

0:37 – 1:11Speaker 1

Awesome. All right. So the first thing on the agenda is public input and I don't believe anybody is on Zoom. There's nobody in the room. Does anybody on the committee want to talk about anything that's not on the agenda? Yeah. I just want to mention that when I looked today on the town website, we still have the wrong organization on the uh page for the committee. Okay. And did you reach out to anybody about that? No.

1:08 – 1:45Speaker 1

All right, you got it. Anybody else want to discuss anything? No. Perfect. Uh, moving on to the first agenda item is continue reviewing Oh, thank you. neighborhood community license agreements. So, I'm not sure if anybody would like to kick us off on that. Do you run your reports on AI and Yeah. Um, the I I I've had a very very busy uh month between the last meeting and this meeting

1:43 – 3:42Speaker 1

and try to get stuff done as well. Um in in short um there's quite a few licenses that uh that I had to pull uh from that site. Thank you for Megan for writing that. Um where you had Ashland uh Milford uh Northboro uh Shbury and Upton is which is what we are going to be reviewing. And uh as a result of that I ran into a couple of issues with some of the downloads. Um, first of all, when it comes to U Ashland and uh Milford and Northboro, they were fine. In other words, those were all Verizon uh clients uh that they had uh with licenses that were downloadable and so forth. And basically, I had to convert them into something that the AI could could read. And uh the format of it didn't quite turn out like I liked it to. So I uh wasn't very happy with the results of it and I never got beyond what it produced here and that's why I didn't publish it or give to everybody else. But um it it did go through the same kind of similar process but it's not not the same. And and the thing one of the objectives was is that you wanted to compare uh those three with the the last three being Grafton Sutton Westboro and trying to merge the two of them together and again that's a bit more in terms of the process of all of that but it it it was kind of a work in process but it it it's kind of a still a big process nevertheless in terms of the result. Um there were some other issues that I came across and that was the one for Milford. Uh the Milford cable license when I went to download and print it out it was all dithered. it it wasn't very

3:39 – 4:07Speaker 1

clean and sharp and a lot some of the characters were unrecognizable and there were a lot of word errors in the process of trying to interpret what was actually being printed on the page and I wish there was is it because it's a scanned document that they had on I think it might have been faxed and then refaxed and then but so the AI had trouble with that is what you're saying okay cool that's just wanted to checking on that

4:04 – 4:32Speaker 1

so it m it it has trouble trying to need that specific document. The other ones were just fine. Um, and that was part of the issue with trying to incorporate that one. And also the one for Shrewsbury, which is uh Celco, it's not Verizon. Um, so therefore trying to incorporate that presents another issue because of the commonality doesn't exist there because of there's not comparing apples to apples.

4:29 – 5:13Speaker 1

Exactly. Right. And then also comes to the Upton license. They have charter. they do not have Verizon or at least not on the list that was posted. So it it kind of really limited to just those three Ashlin, Milford and Northboro uh as to what I was able to drive in a report which I which I have but it's not I don't think it's uh worthy of publishing just yet. So that's the circumstance on that. Thank you for doing all that. Sounds like you were spending some time on it which is fantastic. I know it's not where you want it to be yet, but it sounds like it's coming along, which is great. I'll let you keep that cuz it's trash. Oh, that's so kind.

5:11 – 5:56Speaker 1

What I mean is I it's it's going to end up changing in terms of format and stuff and I'm going to try to integrate it, but you can have a a rough draft if you want. Rough draft's better than trash. We'll go with that. Thank you. It was going to go in the trash because I'm not going to keep it. I'm going to use something else. But, uh, you could you could review it as to what I came up with. But this is the kind of same format that I like that I think that that ought to be incorporated with all six towns together. Okay. Which would incorporate the graft and comparing it with those as well. Yeah, I I enjoyed that that document. So, um that is that. Okay, great. Megan, did you have anything you wanted to add or Bob anything to add to any of that?

5:54 – 6:35Speaker 1

Not at this time, but if you do need any help, please let me know. Okay. who be of assistance. Sure. And if you two work together offline, that's not a quorum. That's not open meeting law. So, you two can communicate back and forth. Um, and that's fine as long as you don't loop any of us in and we just share it at the next meeting. So, feel free to do that. Bob, did you have something you wanted to say? Yeah. Um, the the Milford did you ended up not being able to really work with it, Corson? Uh, I I can read it because I'm a human, but I think the AI had trouble trying to read it. Yes.

6:34 – 7:19Speaker 1

You haven't you haven't been able to get the machine to do anything with it uh sufficiently correct that makes it really useful. Correct. Right. Um, I wonder if you you or maybe you uh could uh contact Milford and ask for um a more viable copy right of their license. Uh, did everybody get I I sent a link I think it was that I came across for their access website. Did people get that? I did not.

7:18 – 7:36Speaker 1

Did anybody else get it? I I don't recall seeing it. No. It sounds like nobody here either got it or remembers getting it. Yeah, but you did. Nope. Nobody here got it or remembers getting it.

7:33 – 8:42Speaker 1

Okay. Um it's interesting because they are they're a separate ent 501 3C whatever it is. Um and uh it's interesting to see what they're doing uh in terms of access. um more like what we used to hope we would have with with a lot of uh people from the community doing things making making content and whatnot. Um, so both the license which shows the other structure with with a 501 3C instead of a town running it uh is interesting and um and that is I'll have to try to remember to see if I can track down that link. Uh it it's not too hard to find. I don't think I you know you can web search for Milford access but I I'll see what I can find.

8:39 – 9:18Speaker 1

All right. Thank you. Uh the next thing on the agenda is the current graft and license charter and Verizon agreements. I think we've kind of beat that dead horse, but I just continue to leave it on the agenda in case anything exciting pops up. Um complaint reports from charter and Verizon subscribers. So I did talk touch base with the town administrator's office. um they are looking for those to try to provide us with something and as well as try to get us a Verizon contact. I do not have either of those things for tonight's meeting, but they are actively being worked on. And what do you got here? You remember that document?

9:16 – 10:01Speaker 1

Not off the top of my head. Uh download open meeting. Oh yeah, that's what he said in um the beginning. The committee organization on the town website's not correct. Is that what you're pointing out? No, it's just that things had to be done. For example, I had they were due Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like that. Um I just wanted to point out that just so for everybody knows what he's talking about is having open meeting law training and all of those things completed in time. That's what Corson's showing us. And mine's done. Oh, do do you did you send those to the town clerk? I don't need them. The town clerk needs it. I'll tell you. I think she gets a copy sent to her. But it apparently it goes electronically. Yeah. When when I do it, they get they get it. Oh, okay.

9:59 – 10:39Speaker 1

Uh I I have I printed out copies of it, but I I came here on Tuesday because they're open late so that I could get a little help with this to fill it out as far as the Oh, like yesterday, Tuesday. Yeah. Yeah. I think they were having water. Was the building closed? Yeah. Yeah. They've been having water issues. No. So, I couldn't I couldn't give them what I wanted to give them and and and get help with what I have to fill out for hearsay. Have you This is the thing you have to do, too, isn't it? Yeah, I'm all set. I I already took care of it. Well, if you can give me help later on and where I fill in what and what I have to say, then that's fine. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that's fine. Okay. All right.

10:36 – 11:20Speaker 1

Um she's been um uh doing a much better job from from my view. Uh you know, from what I've seen, the messages I've gotten because I have several bodies that I'm on. Um she's put in how long what I've already done lasts. Uh so, you know, it's it ends up telling essentially I can tell which ones I have to do now and which ones um I don't have to do till sometime in the future. And uh I would think that you're seeing the same kind of format there.

11:18 – 12:02Speaker 1

That's exactly exactly what he was just showing. Yep. Yeah. Yep. that I I I I commend uh I commend our new clerk both on that and on uh most of the agendas are being posted as actual PDFs with a with a received stamp embody embedded in it instead of the scan we used to get that was not which is very nice. Um you couldn't click the zoom link. I clicked the Zoom link tonight, but uh I think that's those are both anybody's talking to her to say thank you.

11:59 – 12:43Speaker 1

Shout out to Amy Barry. Great job. All right. Um the next one was discuss meeting frequencies going forward. Um that could be how often we want to meet, which seems like we're going to continue to meet monthly and then just pick our next meeting date. Um what works great for everybody next month? How about September? I have. All right, we're starting to get Are we aiming for Wednesdays or hopefully not Mondays? Wednesdays seem to be um working for most of us here. I know Mondays are hard for you. Thursdays, I have other uh commitments that other committees meet on Thursdays. And

12:42 – 13:27Speaker 1

how about if we try the 10th of September? 10th. Okay. Well, that gave you enough time to Yeah. Okay. All right. Perfect. Works for me. At seven. Yep. At seven, we'll do hybrid and the room location will be, you know, surprise whatever's available. But, uh, aim for the studio. I I I'm not sure what is meeting tonight down there, but um I am I Is it the veterans something or other? EDC had the EDC had the room booked and at the last minute they decided to go full remote so they're not even using the room.

13:27 – 13:56Speaker 1

Shucks. Yeah. Okay. Because I know that uh there are one or two things um that uh do regularly seem to meet there. one of the veterans things, a couple of those things. And Bob Bob would uh definitely be be able to tell us which what their regular schedule is so that it would help us uh not run into the not available problem.

13:54 – 14:38Speaker 1

Yeah, CPC meets there, too. It's a it's a great space. So, I love that it's being utilized. So, I and people are getting recorded. It's it's a phenomenal space. I hope people continue to use it. And you know, we still have these other spaces available, too. So, it's it all worked out tonight. Um, meeting minutes, I believe, Corson. Yes. Um, I did forward them. I know it was kind of late, but I did get them out to you guys to look at. Um, and uh uh I make a motion we accept the minutes as written. Okay. Do you want to say the dates or Oh, sorry. uh meeting minutes for Wednesday, July 16th of 2025. I have a motion. Do I have a second?

14:36 – 15:21Speaker 1

Second. Motion made and seconded. Any discussion? Hearing none. By roll call. Bob I. Megan. I Coren I. Colleen I. I declare the motion carried. I have one thing about the meeting minutes if I may. Sorry that was the discussion Cor but it's it wasn't really supposed to be open for really discussion just as an FYI. Okay. So this is these are the minutes that I put together that are approved right now that are now approved. These are the minutes that the AI created. Oh, you're just a fun facting it. Okay. Do we have a visit? And this we have an attendee. And this is what the AI used to create the minutes.

15:20 – 16:01Speaker 1

Oh, that's cool. The entire transcript of last last meetings. Nice. So, it took this, created that, so I could create that. Look at you go. Good lord. So, how good is it, Corson? I don't know. Ask Ask Colleen. I I'll have to digest all this and get back to you. I didn't I didn't have How many pages is this freaking thing? We We talk a lot. We sure do. They're not that long. So, of course, and maybe you could just send me a copy of the um computer. The computer one version. Well, interesting about the computer one um is that I just

15:59 – 16:39Speaker 1

Yes. Well, just send me I I'm just curious. Yeah. No, that's great. That's it. It added uh it's not the way I do things, but this that's what it created for for minutes. Nice. I I'll forward it to you, Bob. Good. As as a computer person from forever, um what AI is doing and whatnot is of great interest to me. Okay. Anyway, the whole world is the whole world is changing rather quickly. You you don't need the full transcript of the uh previous meeting that it used to create.

16:36 – 17:19Speaker 1

Absolutely not. Okay. Absolutely not. Um I just want to see what is that chat to GTP? No, this is Grock. Oh, Grock. Well, all right. All right. Um, so with nothing else, I can take a motion to adjurnn. So moved. Motion made. And I'll second it. Seconded. I was going to ask if we had any. Do you I mean, we do have an attendee. We did do public input already, but we can do it again. No. Okay. Second. All right. Uh all those in favor Bob I Megan

17:16Speaker 1
