we've got a motion it's been second okay faor item 6 is zoning text Amendment ztx 25-3 this is a text am streets um in the elevated beaches and there was supposed to be more discussion about it but instead of more discussion the item just kind of disappeared from the agenda and died um so this is bringing back that um text Amendment so that it would add section 231 129. 3.2 minimum driveway length for residential uses to minimize Vehicles overhanging sidewalks or pedestrian pass the following shall apply for residential units with driveways one the minimum driveway link shall be at least 4 ft measured from the face of the garage door a structural wall of the building or any other obstruction to the back of the sidewalk if no sidewalk is present the measurement shall extend to the property line or in the absence of a property line to the back of curb or edge of we we talked about this morning or adding or edge of um pavement I think is how we wanted to word that number two for u-shaped driveways with two points of access to a street the minimum driveway length should be at least 38 ft the driveway must be arranged to enure that no portion of a parked vehicle

police it's obstructing sidewalks I don't think that the city issues tickets based on that at this point but it certainly could it's in there already if they're obstructing the sidewalk okay I'm not aware of a residential district what about maybe a PVD not that I'm aware of right there's a lot of there's a lot of non-conforming things here and they would I mean if they have an existing driveway they would be allowed like if they had to make repairs they would be allowed to do that right if they had to redevelop the entire site that's when this would come into play yeah because that would be if it's shorter than grandfather and even here's another scenario let's say we have and a tree falls on the sidewalk and it busts the entire sidewalk and they have to rep it out repave it they're not going to have to ADH to the new 24 because then at that point they would have toow land tear off the face of the house right yeah I mean bisera I think bisera is what created the need for this ordinance when that development was

fully built out there was a lot of concerns because people parked in their driveways there's no way to get through the sidewalk um there's some other neighborhoods where it's an issue for people Robert's Roost I think I think a few people have mentioned um this isn't going to make it so those people can't fix their driveways it's just going to make it so when you're planning a new neighborhood hey you've got to make sure you've got enough room there between the sidewalk and the home no add just thate from item to the driveway must be arranged to ensure that no portion of a parked vehicle obstructs any part of the sidewalk or pedestrian path to number four as well because we don't have a minimum but I could still see if it was a very short way they would maybe be blocking the sidewalk if they didn't have enough room there all different right meas in we would be using a standard parking space Dimension 9 by9 we start having cyber trucks double Cy cyber trucks then it's just G to extend further it's GNA be all driveway we'll have to update our parking ordinance for parking set because the last time this was updated was when 80 yeah yeah so you know we're just keeping up with the times and type of cars are D now some cars are getting bigger some cars are getting smaller true when we're all driving tractor trailers to work then we'll extend it then we'll have flying vehicles and it will be not concern anymore you got to be able your hover car has got to be able to land
