No, yeah, yeah. I didn't even think anybody was going to catch it.

0:05Speaker 6

No, it's fine. I saw when you sent it out.

0:07Speaker 3

I'm a teacher. You're a teacher, yeah.

0:11 – 0:23Speaker 7

Remind me again what the attendance was. Okay, there's your life now. Because our new year started in January, right? Absolutely. Well, I was going to ask, yeah.

0:29 – 1:28Speaker 3

like um yeah the attendance does go back 12 months it looks at the last 12 months i think that um obviously january january yeah it is the last do you know i think you did it last year too all right you were already doing yeah yeah so we would just we can just like stitches together oh okay but yeah when does it go from it goes the last 12 months so 12 months so from August to August is that what it is or like any month they're in that's the way they look at the you guys are supposed to report it to your report to council when you go to I just want to report to council I think it was attached. Because the town clerk's office makes it fast as well. That's why I asked you guys to give it to me. Because it's easier if you give it to me every meeting as opposed to then having to chase you guys down.

1:28Speaker 5

No, I know.

1:31 – 1:42Speaker 3

But some people don't give it to me and then it's like, okay, we're at the council doing two days and you're like 10 months behind and now I'm... No, I always find that she was... So that's why you didn't even know.

1:42 – 2:38Speaker 7

You're the best at it. well you guys are speaking okay so i'm going to call this the committee meeting to order at 5 um 13. mario yeah it's all together here but mario's on his way he had an emergency uh and a couple of members that were coming had emergencies so i think i know i know it's it's um bring for everybody, everybody in your safety. It's Monday. Right. Okay. So, um, let's start discussing. I went to, before the, uh, committee, I did my committee report on last week or this week. I don't even know. So, and they said that, yes, we can do the Olympia. They okayed the Olympia games and they okayed the, the, um, the book fair, which we'll talk about during our regular meeting right now. I'm having just a subcommittee for this. So, Hey, Haley, can I come up with a name for it? All right. I can come up with a name for it. Yes. You had a really good name for it.

2:38Speaker 3

Yeah, she did.

2:38Speaker 7

Yeah, you did.

2:39Speaker 3

So let me go back and look. Was it you? Yeah, it was Haley.

2:43 – 3:19Speaker 7

Or was it her honor? I don't remember. It was Haley. I'll be so honest. I remember it was Haley, but I don't remember what you called her. I thought it might be in the minutes. But I'm looking for it. This is the one. Was Jermaine 47 the last minute? Oh, I think I have. yeah what was it called go back to my browser no no i had a great name it was like we were all like oh wow that's a great name no i don't think i stuck it in the minutes and you even had a slogan for it you even had a slogan otherwise we're gonna have to go back and look at the video and see what you said give me what you think i'm sorry yeah

3:19Speaker 6

Miami Lakes Olympiad.

3:23Speaker 3

Oh, one town, six schools, one community. Miami Lakes Olympiad. Miami Lakes Olympiad. Yeah, we liked that.

3:29Speaker 6

One town, six schools, one community. Miami Lakes Olympiad. I think it might be more than six schools because I'm seeing... One town, six schools, one community.

3:39Speaker 6

That sounds really good.

3:49Speaker 3

Yeah, I remember you. See, I'm not crazy. I remember some things. I don't remember everything, but I remember some crazy things.

3:56Speaker 7

And then people tell me they don't say things. I'm like, wait, no, I heard that.

4:01Speaker 3

I was like, I don't remember.

4:02 – 4:17Speaker 7

Okay, so because he gave some possible names, but I think we're not curious. And then possible schools. Here he listed one, two, three, four. Well, he listed elementary, middle, and high school.

4:18Speaker 7

We had said we only wanted to do Wichita. We did not want to do all the schools. We had said six schools. So where did we come up with it? What were the six schools?

4:27Speaker 6

The six schools or the six minor schools?

4:30 – 4:44Speaker 7

The six minor schools. The middle and the Wichita. We don't have any elementary schools. I'm not speaking. But we're doing middle and high school. Middle and high school? I believe so. I was in there.

4:44Speaker 3

I don't know if you guys.

4:47 – 5:06Speaker 7

I'm pretty sure we did, yes. I just don't have those. It says here, New Business A. It says, total schools that participate in the field day events are six, including Bob Graham, HML, Miami Dade Educational Center, And middle and high schools. It doesn't make any sense.

5:06Speaker 3

So maybe just middle and high schools.

5:10Speaker 6

Yeah, because all of them have middle school in there. So six. Yeah. So we're going to do middle and high school. Yes, unless we count other schools that are not part of my school.

5:20 – 5:46Speaker 7

Elementary, I think, is crazy. So I'm going to scratch out elementary. Middle and high school. Let's just do middle. Make sure we're making it a little bit easier. Because the whole point was to get them to come to the schools. Right. Exactly. Oh, yes. Okay, so then it would be, what are the middle schools again? Miami Lakes Middle School. Miami Lakes K-8 Center.

5:46 – 6:04Speaker 6

Bob Graham Education Center. I don't know if we want to include the charter schools or the private schools. I don't think we did. Then the high schools is Barbara Lohman, HML, Miami Lakes Educational Center.

6:05Speaker 7

American. American. American. One, two, three, four, five, six. That's six.

6:14Speaker 6

American. American is part of Country Club. It's like unincorporated.

6:20Speaker 7

I have background, Miami Lakes K-8, Barbara Goldman, Miami Lakes Senior High School, Miami Lakes Educational Center.

6:29Speaker 7

It's middle school. So we have three middle schools and three high schools. Yes. That's where we got the sixth from. Beautiful.

6:36Speaker 3

Yeah, and those are the schools we normally, like when we send things to each other.

6:40Speaker 7

They're the ones that respond. Because we tried our Lady of the Lakes, they don't respond. So we're not doing that.

6:47 – 7:19Speaker 3

I don't know who spread matter. I don't think I normally refuse them. They're out of the challenge for me. Yeah, they're not in Miami. The only one that's out of some boundaries ever. I don't know. I guess it's the way we're set up as HMO. Cause I think when they were originally built in, they were, they were included. Yeah. And our, it was a service, right? Like. So Matterlix is not part of Miami Dix? No. I mean, it's not, it's definitely outside the boundaries, so that's what you're asking. For our committee, we don't deal with that. Yeah, although six schools that we've, HML has always been the odd one, but I don't know, I guess it's because.

7:19Speaker 7

Historically.

7:20Speaker 3

Historically, I think it's service manuals, and that's why.

7:23 – 8:33Speaker 7

Okay, so then the next thing would be possible games and activities. Now, one of the councilmen, Alex Sanchez, brought up, he was the only one that asked the question, because it passed unanimously. um both both um proposals passed unanimously but he was the only one that brought up the question about oh are you going to have other things other than physical sports like you know to include more different types of kids you're going to have like things that are more educational or intellectual mental gains that's not just physical so if you have a chess or if you have a student that has like a handicap i guess he's thinking about that or something else so that you meet all the different types of you know what i mean so it's not just physical physics so and mario did um put some examples here so the physical ones so these are some of the activities and i mean we have to narrow this down because we can't everything so we have to figure out which ones we want so for the physical athletic there's tug of war four by 100 relay sack race relay three-legged race obstacle course football accuracy throw soccer accuracy kick basketball skills challenge and show the kids love tug of war i don't know why but they do they do We have to choose like three out of each one, I think. What do you guys think?

8:33Speaker 6

I just think that... One of each? There's only like five or six of us. I think it's just going to be a lot of look after.

8:42Speaker 7

We're going to be around supervising, but we're going to have to have basically volunteers.

8:47Speaker 5

Student volunteers?

8:49 – 9:03Speaker 6

Should we do it for middle schools instead of middle school and high schools? What do you mean? The activities? The activities are for middle schools. And then it's the high schools volunteering to manage that. And then they're also promoting their programs.

9:04 – 10:06Speaker 7

What do you ladies think? Yeah, that's good. Not having the high school kids teams competing now that many many people also i mean i will because this is our first one i get a lot of because this is our first one yeah this is right it starts small and then later on i agree that so let's do that so then now it's just three schools competing the three middle schools but we're promoting everybody but we're promoting the three high schools i will say we can't already do that with spelling bee we don't promote high school but with the spelling bee we don't have it's it's a it's like yeah this is a lot bigger and we don't promote the high schools it's just middle school you think it's bad that we don't do something for high school is what you're saying i think it's good that because their main priority right now is getting a moment so if anything it does a service to them and they're getting a service hour so it works out or either way wait i have another proposal should we do elementary and middle and then just have a high school volunteer because when the elementary kids go to the middle schools they can't more

10:07Speaker 2

Like the parents, okay, we're talking about enrollment. Elementary parents are going to attend more. Middle and high school, they're going to drop the kids. And I mean...

10:17Speaker 7

Elementary would just be Bob Graham and Miami Lakes kids. Should we include fifth grade then?

10:22Speaker 6

And not just all elementary? Just keep it to... Yeah, because there's ones that are going to be yes. Yes, yes.

10:28 – 10:57Speaker 7

Okay, so let's do that. So we're going to include fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth. So that would include... Mom, Graham, K through eight, and my middle is K through eight. It would be the same school. But that way, at least there's a feeder pattern for them. Okay, so that makes sense. Going back to the games then, now that we have high school volunteers volunteering, so adults, right, with the little ones. Do we want to have, do we want to do three per category for now?

10:58Speaker 3

Yeah, let's do three.

10:59Speaker 7

Okay, so talk about what you like, Alicia.

11:01Speaker 3

I like it because I see the kids do it all the time. Every time we have field day or anything, they go crazy.

11:07Speaker 7

To me, like four by 100, really, that's too specific, I think. Like, I don't know.

11:10Speaker 3

I don't even know what that is.

11:11 – 11:52Speaker 7

I don't know. SAC rates? I think that's cute. They love the SAC rates. This is for checkmars. Three-legged race? I don't know what that is. I mean, I know what it is, but like... no i think that's a tripping house obstacle course i mean i don't know is that is it more like we want to do everything that's sort of the obstacle yeah the obstacle course is too hard i love football accuracy though i guess it's throwing a football into like a hole or something but just like why that's the same like that soccer accuracy kick you have to have Well, there is a lot of soccer goals.

11:52Speaker 3

Yeah, I think you could probably do that.

11:54Speaker 7

And then there's a basketball game.

11:56Speaker 3

What's a shuttle relay?

11:58Speaker 2

Isn't that where you have a baton or you have something and then they run and they have to pass it or something? Isn't that the shuttle relay race?

12:08Speaker 3

Shuttle relay.

12:10 – 12:29Speaker 7

They have to pass something and then the next one has to get it. That one's a question one. I think we could do soccer. So do you want to do just soccer or do you want to do football, soccer and basketball? That's three different things. I mean, they don't really have equipment, but they have one court there. At Royal Oaks. Royal Oaks, right?

12:29Speaker 3

They have very little. We're talking about the soccer accuracy. Okay, guys.

12:37 – 13:19Speaker 7

They have more soccer and football you can do anyway. Basketball challenge. The football accuracy throw and the soccer you can do there for sure. The basketball, like you said, they don't have a lot of basketball. Yeah. So, but I feel bad for the kids that play basketball. Yeah. A lot of kids like basketball. Let's say yes to all three. Don't get in basketball. Scratchy, scratchy, but we don't know what that is. Yeah. Okay. And then we have fun teamwork. Okay. So water balloon toss. That's cute. And it's hot. That's much fun. Yeah. And then they get wet. Yeah. It's outside. It's hot. I don't know what that is. I don't know what that is. I don't know what that is. I don't know what that is. I don't know what that is.

13:19Speaker 6

I don't know what that is. I don't know what that is.

13:36Speaker 7

Cornhole, beanbag challenge. This is facilito. I think that's easy to do. I say let's say yes.

13:41 – 13:55Speaker 7

And minute to winning stick. Okay. Okay. Academia, non-physical. This is the academic. We really want an academic though because there's a, there's a, yeah, what's the last to be done?

13:55Speaker 2

It's like a chess maybe for us. You set for the kids up maybe. Yeah.

13:59 – 14:39Speaker 7

So chess, like a chess thing, I think. Yeah. Let's add chess because that's easy to do and that's not hard. Do we want to do a trivia poll? I think we can do a trivia. But what kind of trivia could it be? We could do different like a trivia for like, I don't know, like history, science, math, like different categories. It'd be hard, but it's just something. Okay, I don't know what math challenge means. I don't know. Yeah, we're not doing math. STEM Building Challenge. Is that like Legos and stuff? I don't know. Maybe like a Lego competition where they have to do something with Legos. We can get the Legos donated. That's not hard.

14:39Speaker 3

What if you have one of those schools come out with their Legos?

14:43Speaker 7

Okay, so let's circle around. Let's come back to that.

14:48Speaker 2

Oh, yeah, like a team of Spanish. Like, if every school have the, like, we have the robotics, they can compete with each other.

14:55Speaker 7

Exactly, exactly. Okay. That would be. Okay, so I'm going to set a check mark for that.

14:59 – 15:47Speaker 7

Memory challenge, scratchy, scratchy. It's sort of a trivia. Puzzle brain challenge. It is. No, scratchy, scratch. And then Miami Lakes trivia challenge. That's cute. That's cute. Nobody knows the history of Miami Lakes. But should we make them learn it? I don't know if they're going to learn it in time or something. So it's cute, but I don't know. Okay, so we have chess, trivia, general trivia, we're going to make categories, and then the STEM build challenge. Okay. Now, so, and again, obviously, we have to have people in charge of all of these things, and we're going to have to plan this out. That helps. This is going to be huge. It's going to be huge. Okay, possible vendors. Possible vendors. What are we selling? We're a vendor. What are we selling? What are we selling? We said we were going to sell, like, drinks and chips and stuff. Isn't that what we said we were going to do with that?

15:48 – 16:10Speaker 7

So we're going to be sending our stuff at the concession stand. So we're going to have to buy chips and we're going to have to buy water bottles and soda. You know, water, chips, Gatorade and things that they can drink, you know. Which we'll have to, how would that work? We purchase it and then we get reimbursed or we purchase it out of the fund?

16:11Speaker 3

Whoever's going to, I guess, be in charge of that, let me know and then we'll work so we can get the credit card.

16:18Speaker 7

I'll go to Costco or whatever. I can do that. Somebody can help me go. We'll plan it.

16:26Speaker 6

What date did we say this in?

16:29Speaker 7

That was the great question. Okay. I don't know. I think we put in the minutes that we say that.

16:34Speaker 3

No, you guys let me check for February.

16:38Speaker 2

Yeah, we said the proposed date. It was in May. We said they ran out.

16:44 – 17:03Speaker 7

I don't know. I have it booked already. February 6th. Saturday, February 6th. I think that was around the time you guys want. This is Olympia. Miami Lakes. What is it called? Miami-Dade Center.

17:03Speaker 3

We have it for all day. So what I booked was the fields and inside the community center. I booked it from 9 to 12. Do you guys make it for long?

17:13Speaker 7

No, three hours is, you know, 9 to 12. It depends what we do. Yeah. Well, it should have been 9 to 12.

17:20Speaker 3

I don't think at that point they were going to break it up.

17:22 – 17:34Speaker 7

Yeah, as far as to pick up, I agree, it has to be vegetable. I think it has to be vegetable. Yes. We'll be allowed to go early to set up like an 8 or whatever.

17:34Speaker 3

I'll double check out what time we have done it earlier. I think it's at 8. Okay.

17:39 – 18:40Speaker 7

So we can set up at 8. Oh, and let me know on the day before if anybody's inside, if we're having anything inside. They have programming, but I do think that it's early on. To drop off? No, we can drop off sometime. We might just set up a little. Set up a little. So let's say 8 to 1, so we have time to set up and sit down. But the event itself will be from 9 to 12. So let's be here February 6, 9 to 12. OK. And then he mentioned here that I think this would be cool that we could have also, we could have possible vendors that could also maybe sponsor the event too. Matt Nathan, Matt Nathan, Premier Athletic Tutoring. I don't know where they are. We'll reach out to them for potential learning academy, advanced therapy testing, local education. So we don't have to reach out to somebody, people, right? Reach out to what they could have to do. So does anybody know anybody in any of these places? Yeah. What's the one?

18:40Speaker 6

That's what I thought the I was going for in the Ivory.

18:44 – 18:58Speaker 7

Ivory. Ivory. So, okay, so now Hayley's going to reach out to Ivory. I think if we each do... Yeah, I don't mind. I don't mind. Let me see one. Yes. I'll do Mathnasium. Let's go to my house. Mathnasium.

18:58Speaker 3

Is he the one that keeps it up to you guys or something?

19:03Speaker 7

Yeah. Was it him? Did he?

19:05Speaker 6

Yeah, so he's really interested, but I think They were saying they don't really have the funds. At least at that time. I don't know if it's changed now.

19:14 – 19:25Speaker 7

They also set their name out there to get more business. Who knows? Which one do you ladies want to try? I don't know, but I can search it and send an email.

19:26 – 19:45Speaker 2

I can search it and send an email to them saying we're going to have that event if they're interested in setting up a table. Exactly. You can do a premier athletic tutoring. They're for potential events and then the local ACT. I will find them. Oh, thank you. And I will just send an email.

19:45 – 20:00Speaker 7

Yeah. And I'll do my music. What do you want me to do? And if you guys think of any other... I'm just going to send the same email. But if you think of any other place we should get off as educational, I would like to find out.

20:01Speaker 2

If you don't mind, we'll probably do this cut, like If I can ask people if they want to promote it. Yeah, if they want to promote their program, absolutely.

20:12Speaker 7

I think that would be nice. So the high school kids, because that way they know, and middle school kids, they want to learn.

20:22Speaker 3

I don't know why I didn't listen. We'll talk to the chair later. Hello. Hello.

20:34Speaker 1

She had this thing in her eye and we took her for an appointment today and the doctor's like, let's just get it out today. But they cut all this.

20:43 – 20:56Speaker 1

No, they had to send it out to pathology to see what it is. But imagine if you're getting in a fight and this splits open, that's how much. And they had to do a stitch. Oh, yeah. She's in pain now. Yeah. Yeah.

20:58 – 21:21Speaker 7

How old is she? She's 17. 17, all right. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You guys got my email? Yes. This already has a name. I'm sorry.

21:23 – 21:34Speaker 7

She named it Miami Lakes Olympiad. Should we put Miami Lakes School Olympiad? Should I have a name? Okay, fine. Miami Lakes Olympiad. One town, six schools, one community. I'm sorry.

21:36Speaker 1

I like that.

21:37 – 22:00Speaker 7

We're going to do fifth grade, fifth grade, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth. That way the high school kids are advertising and helping to run the event. So you don't want to do elementary? No, 5th, 6th, 7th. Okay. In 5th grade, yeah, that's when they're going to leave to go to middle school. So that's when they're going to be out of the schools. That's the theater pattern. What are you going to do with the 1st grade?

22:00Speaker 1

It's true. It's true.

22:01Speaker 7

They have their own, like, field day stuff in elementary school.

22:04Speaker 1

That is true.

22:04Speaker 7

The whole point is for theater fans. Correct. 5th, 6th, 7th. Correct.

22:07Speaker 1

It showcases school, it showcases, you know, but it's the kids doing it, you know.

22:12 – 22:26Speaker 7

The 3 elementary, well, the same elementary, middle, K-8, Bob Brown K-8, MLMS. And then the three high schools that are going to be volunteering and promoting are Barbara Goldman, HML, Miami Lakes Educational Center, right? Okay.

22:26Speaker 6

Should we do like a showcase? Like each school has like, any high school has a, yes, little seven-minute presentation or whatever.

22:32Speaker 7

Or a presentation by their table. People can come by and see stuff. Or, I mean, we could do a showcase. I don't know.

22:38 – 23:20Speaker 1

I'm going to give you, do it, but don't do it with the administration. why i'll tell you why do it do it with the sga do it with those kids um kids respond better to them correct sometimes the other schools don't like to be in the same room with functions no no it's a simple the kids respond to kids selling their program let the kids sell the program like the kids sell the uh The extracurricular ones, the band, those kind of things. Because when the kids see that and the kids talk to them, they're the ones who are going to be.

23:20Speaker 7

Exactly. I agree with you 100%. You don't have to talk to the principal.

23:23Speaker 1

Yeah, because if you get administration there, it's going to be a little more.

23:27 – 23:46Speaker 7

Yeah. Okay, so we decided for physical athletics, we like tug-of-war, sack race, the football, soccer, and basketball stuff. Those are the five, those are the one, two, three, four, five, five sports. We're on paid. Impossible games. So we're doing physical for- Oh, I don't think you have the printout.

23:46Speaker 3

Okay, okay, that's fine.

23:50Speaker 7

I want to, man. That's funny.

23:51Speaker 1

So you want to do tug-of-war?

23:53Speaker 7

Tug-of-war, the sack race, and then the football, soccer, basketball challenge accuracy stuff. Those three.

23:59Speaker 1

Those three. It means four. Okay.

24:01Speaker 7

Those are for teamwork, water balloon toss, hula hoop, and a cornhole. Those three.

24:06Speaker 1

Okay. For team.

24:08Speaker 1

That's for the lower class or for the whole thing?

24:11 – 24:26Speaker 7

For the whole thing. Academic, non-physical. We're going to do some chess. Maybe some chess teams. Yes, sir. Trivia bowl or do some general categories. Trivia bowl is 10 challenge. We're going to invite some schools to bring their 10 things to complete it.

24:26Speaker 1

You can do the little robotic thing.

24:29 – 25:06Speaker 7

Exactly. So three, three, and three. Okay. And then we're going to be selling on the concession stand for our more the water Gatorade chip flare. We're going to invite, Esther's going to contact a lot of these people that you put here, like for method of tutoring, for potential learning, and kind of as therapy testing. All those people are in Miami Lakes. All of them are in Miami Lakes. She's going to contact them. I'm going to do my thinking because I'm in my house. Haley's going to do, I believe, the uniform. Okay. So, and if you think of any other vendors, and she's also going to do scouts, you know, do you think of any other vendors you want to, anybody else? Okay. Educational fund? EdFed? No, not educational. EdFed.

25:06Speaker 1

EdFed. EdFed might be good to get out there.

25:08 – 25:28Speaker 7

Yeah, okay. You have contacts for EdFed. You could do it. But if you have any other local community business that's good for education, I would like to call. And if anybody's listening, they can always contact us. Okay, and then for sports, oh, you said to invite all these people, 305 Youth Sports, Elite Basketball Academy. Those are all in the town?

25:29Speaker 1

Those are all just people that might be willing to give you sponsorship. Sponsorship. Yeah.

25:33Speaker 7

Okay. So, you want to do everybody? I'll give you all those.

25:40Speaker 1

You know, one of those people might want it. They have an after-school program or basketball program. They might want to be there.

25:46Speaker 2

All I got to do is just find the website, find the email, and I send an email. I think you guys should call. You send emails, you know, internet.

25:57 – 27:17Speaker 7

Those are the guys we use a lot, too, bro. So, yeah. So, these places, I need to inform them that we're going to have the event, but then I also request that if they want to... do a sponsorship how do i mean kind sponsorship so let's say you want to get pizza for the pizzas though you'll tell um papa giant's either a sponsorship or in-kind sponsorship where they provide a pizza for you guys in kind in sponsorship kind donation in kind donation so they can either make a donation or they can do an in-kind donation i agree yeah and now we're agreed to a format letter and then you can send that out yeah Okay. And then trophies and recognition. Okay. What should we do? You put ideas here. You put an overall champion trophy, traveling championship cup for second, third place. What do you guys think? I want to think that we use, we usually use, um, room for the trophies. We could do a traveling trophy or we've done before for the spelling bee, which is one trophy. But remember we have six, we have, it's,

27:18 – 27:33Speaker 1

I will do for sure the one trophy that wins the most categories. So the school that has the most overall. Overall. Yeah, that for sure. And then if anything, you do one trophy for each category for that school to win.

27:34Speaker 7

A smaller one.

27:36Speaker 1

Or a plaque. You can do a plaque as well.

27:39 – 27:50Speaker 7

We'll talk to Drew. Talk to Drew. Jessica is usually the contact for Drew. So when she comes, I'll tell her she can do that. Okay. She can contact him. So one championship trophy and then little trophies for categories.

27:50Speaker 1

Categories. Who does the little things that you could put on the table? Like what do we do for the teacher or not the awards of excellence?

28:00Speaker 6

They also do one for like best volunteers. Like kind of get high schoolers. Yeah. Like something that they don't, you know, volunteer tools.

28:08Speaker 7

Y como se llama esto? The overall championship trophy is a traveling one? It's a traveling one.

28:14Speaker 1

That's the one that says, hey, you won it all. You got it for the whole year. You got the whole bragging rights, you know?

28:20 – 28:34Speaker 7

Okay, remember, there's 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th. It doesn't mean different years. So are we doing it by just for at school? This is by the school, right? Because another thing is you have an elementary 5th grader that goes to K-8, but it could also be an 8th grader that goes to 6th, 7th, or 7th.

28:34Speaker 6

I think we could play fifth, sixth. How do you divide it by school?

28:42 – 28:56Speaker 1

That's the thing. I was thinking if you have the senior high, the senior high trophy gets the trophy. That's one. You could just leave it for the middle and then you have one children for middle. This is middle elementary.

28:57Speaker 7

There's two elementary schools and there's three middle schools. There's three middle schools and two elementary schools. But the elementary schools have them.

29:08Speaker 1

You actually have three elementary?

29:09Speaker 7

Three elementary?

29:10Speaker 1

No, two elementary. Two elementary, just K-8, Bob Graham.

29:15Speaker 7

Bob Graham, Bob K-8. And then the three middle schools are K-8, Bob Graham, and Lavinix Medical.

29:22Speaker 1

Unless you invite a lady of lakes for elementary.

29:26Speaker 7

I tried inviting them before, but I didn't know.

29:32Speaker 6

So even if you separate fifth, it just looks like it was better. I'm okay. Or about Graham. Exactly. By school.

29:38Speaker 1

Yeah. Just by school.

29:44Speaker 1

Jessica. I mean, I'll be honest. If you just between those two, I know they'll, they'll challenge each other.

29:50Speaker 1

They're going to try to see who's the best of the two. So.

29:54Speaker 7

Okay, then you put down number six, issues, concerns to consider. Location, the eyes of Taya. I'll guide us. It's going to be a word box. I'll also go to the center.

30:03Speaker 1

She got us February.

30:05 – 30:23Speaker 7

February 6th is going to be, the event will be from 9 to 12. February 6th, Michael can evaluate, which is your idea. 9 to 12. 9 to 12. We're going to set up at 8 and take down. Okay. So that's that. We already did the divisions.

30:23Speaker 1

February what year?

30:25 – 30:36Speaker 7

February 6th. Yeah. Okay. Number of participants per school. How do we go to do that? We got to limit it to a certain number.

30:36 – 30:57Speaker 7

How many is that? I'm going to look at the libraries of activities. So we have in total, we have, let me count the activities. One, two, three, four, five. There's five years. Three here and three here. So that's five plus six is 11. You never differ at all.

30:57 – 31:11Speaker 2

But do we need the same students, like maybe the same students don't do sports and then the chess? So every school wants to like, so a school might be able to participate in chess and then have the kids from chess.

31:11 – 31:37Speaker 1

You're going to have some kids, I would put it out like this. The three categories are, And then you're going to not have the same kid is going to do this, the chess, do the sport. That's why we did it because you have a little bit of everything for everybody to get involved. Right. You know, not just the athletic kids. So I would put it out and then five man team for, for category per school.

31:38 – 32:22Speaker 7

Five per category per school. So there's 11 category. I'm sorry. 11 categories. all right there's three there's three big ones sports team and academic yeah you could do two teams per school if you want to so no but you can do three you can do three teams if you want yeah so three teams are five three teams are five so 15 kids per school and there's how many schools six schools right right yes but i wonder if they migrate level but would they be doing it by grade level or they wouldn't be doing remember that's what i'm getting confused yeah that's what i'm getting confused Is the chess team going to be made up of kids from different grade levels together?

32:23 – 32:34Speaker 1

That's why I had done it by... So now you're throwing a wrench in there. Because how do you... If you just leave senior high, that's easy.

32:35Speaker 7

Because you have... We can take elementary out and just do middle school. I was thinking just doing a middle school.

32:41Speaker 1

I'm okay with that.

32:42Speaker 7

But if it's middle school, it'll be easier. We can just do...

32:48 – 33:14Speaker 2

high school okay high school we don't have enough kids we need a high school volunteers to help us do this event because it's only like a few of us who can't do this okay so just do this through the ministry the reason that the only reason what i would do fifth grade i have to say fifth graders sleep in town sometimes we have a bunch of students okay so could we partner up those two right with with those three middle

33:16 – 33:45Speaker 1

Like if you, let's say, for instance, if you're in elementary school and you have interest in the chess club in fifth grade or in middle school, I want to do this. I want to join that team. Come try it out. Be part of the Olympian team or whatever. And you can compete next to your teammates. That's how we attract the fifth graders. But how do we attract now the sixth graders? Take your team to the next level. That kind of deal. I think middle school might be great.

33:46 – 34:00Speaker 7

And then, what other have to come on board, they have to allow them to participate, how do we get the teachers to help us with this will do.

34:00Speaker 1

The principal the team with the teacher you didn't know came in this is a math challenge I recommend to.

34:08 – 34:30Speaker 2

Yes, that's how I previously have done it for like this STEM challenge that we have at the district. I go to the fifth grade and I'm like, can you recommend some students? And they do by now. I know from my school, Miami K-8, I think that we also, Jessica also knows somebody. So those two schools, we got them covered for the elementary. We'll get them recommended.

34:30Speaker 7

But you're saying that a fifth grader should just partner up with a sixth, seventh, and team.

34:37Speaker 1

We could give that school recognition, you know, and recognition of we'll give it to that school.

34:45Speaker 6

If they want to allow fifth graders to come, they can. How do we divide that up, though? Because two of them are K-8s and the only one is middle school.

34:55Speaker 7

That's why I had divided it between the... We want to appeal to elementary. She's true, too. I agree with what she's saying. I don't know.

35:05Speaker 2

So many kids are leaving from fifth grade and that's sad because those are the best students. In middle school, they already made the commitment of staying here.

35:14Speaker 7

Exactly. The middle school's kids are not going anywhere.

35:17Speaker 1

But then you have the jump from middle to high school.

35:22Speaker 7

We got to incorporate those fifth graders. Do you want to just make a separate category for fifth graders?

35:28Speaker 6

What if we just do the fun slash teamwork just for the fifth graders?

35:32Speaker 7

Because high school kids aren't going to want to do a water balloon. Exactly.

35:36Speaker 1

They want to do something more challenging.

35:40 – 36:12Speaker 7

So make the fun teamwork one for fifth grade. Yeah. And then the other two are for middle school, the academic and physical. But I think also for, but you can have elementary kids, fifth graders that want to do tests, but want to understand. And I will stop. I think if you have them, just have them join a team. Have two trophies. Have a fifth grade and have a middle school. That's right.

36:12Speaker 1

Trophy is not an issue.

36:13Speaker 7

The trophy is the least of our time. We got to have fifth graders. I agree. That's the truth.

36:21Speaker 2

Listen, they don't have to participate in everything, but if you get them a little bit there for a while, then that's the objective, I think.

36:29 – 36:42Speaker 7

I say we do two trophies. Yeah, two trophies. So we're going to have an elementary trophy for fifth grade, and we're going to have an elementary. Okay. Operativity.

36:42Speaker 2

For the three cards. Because, like, for the five things, we only need one trophy. Only elementary. It's okay.

36:50Speaker 7

So we might have some high school. Okay. Yeah.

36:51Speaker 3

Just one portion. Okay, close.

36:58Speaker 7

Okay. Fairness between schools of different sizes. They're all going to have a team of 15. 15 per team.

37:08Speaker 6

15 per team or per school?

37:10Speaker 7

15 per school, but for grade because now you can allow fifth graders if they want to do a fifth grade team.

37:16Speaker 6

15 per school for fifth grade and then 15 for middle school. That's it. 15 could be max 30 kids in school. 30, 30, and then 15 because

37:27Speaker 3

You do the math. I'm not a math person.

37:29 – 37:49Speaker 7

Okay, balance of physical and non-physical yards in there. AD accessibility, we know. Safety, I'm looking at number six. Issues, concerns, safety and liability. Safety and liability. Do we need to have cops there? Do we need to have a cop? I just want to get that.

37:50Speaker 1

I actually signed a waiver just because of the...

37:54Speaker 3

Yes. Find out about the waivers for your files. I think it never hurts to have police.

38:01Speaker 1

That's the next one, insurance and waivers.

38:03 – 38:24Speaker 3

The thing is that I request police, but they never have to pay for it. As opposed to, we always let them know when there's events in the town, and they may just make it a part of their pass-by. But if you want them, then you guys are going to have to pay. How much does it cost for them? $50. For one police officer? I think like $50 or $60.

38:24Speaker 1

You have to have two police officers.

38:28Speaker 3

Yeah, like that's it. They would take based on what the amount is.

38:32Speaker 1

But you're okay because in that park, there's a police officer always stationed at that park.

38:37Speaker 3

Oh, that's good to know.

38:39Speaker 7

That's good to know. That's good, right? I didn't know that.

38:43Speaker 1

If he has a cough, he moves. If not, there's a cough. There's a cough there.

38:45Speaker 3

That's good.

38:47Speaker 7

So we don't worry about those.

38:48 – 38:59Speaker 3

What I would say is maybe we should look into having one. I don't like an EM. That's, I think, the more... Reach out to the fire station. The fire station? Can you do that for us?

39:00Speaker 1

I'll reach out to you. I have a camera.

39:06Speaker 7

So fire station will be more important. But that's important.

39:11 – 39:23Speaker 3

Yes, but that is important to know. Maybe familiarize yourself with the AED. I think it's just in case. It's there. We do have one. We all need to know how to do that. I think it tells you.

39:23Speaker 1

It tells you.

39:24 – 39:37Speaker 3

But just know where it's at. Right in Nevada by February. Speaking of that date, then is reserved no football, no nothing? No, I already spoke to athletics and they made sure to let whatever sport is going on at the time that we need that date.

39:48Speaker 7

Transportation and parking. Parking, do we have to like...

39:52Speaker 3

It should be fine because they're not going to have it.

39:54Speaker 1

Yeah, that's why I asked.

39:56Speaker 3

Or inside, it's you guys as well.

39:58Speaker 7

Security, we just talked about.

39:59Speaker 3

If you need any setup inside, let me know.

40:02Speaker 7

Rules, scoring, and timing. We'll talk about that. Yeah, we can plan that next month. We have a few months to plan.

40:10Speaker 1

That's the same thing with officials and judges.

40:12Speaker 7

We can do that for the month of October.

40:14Speaker 1

Equipment, we just got to get the rope, the sacks.

40:19Speaker 7

And where do we get that from? The schools?

40:22Speaker 1

Yeah, we can ask the schools.

40:24 – 40:39Speaker 7

It's Rope. We'll ask the schools. Okay. We'll figure that out, I guess. Official judges. We're going to be the judges. Should we have or should we have like town?

40:39Speaker 1

We could try to get some of the council members.

40:42 – 41:24Speaker 7

That's what I was thinking. So can you invite them to do that? To be like the judges judges down some of the kind of Council members. To get that confirmed and i'm here if some of them can do it or they don't want to do or candle right we're getting close to many chairs. All the committee chairs and then different committees yeah. Many chairs and indefinitely wanted to I cannot do that. Many chairs and budget. I mean, I told them that it's going to go over $500. We have that in the budget if we had to, but I don't think we're going to go anywhere near $500.

41:24Speaker 1

I'm sure you could get sponsors.

41:26 – 41:38Speaker 7

We're going to try and get sponsors. I don't think we're going to spend any money. But think about it. What expenses will we have? Because the things is going to... We're selling drinks and stuff.

41:38Speaker 2

The trophies.

41:40 – 43:01Speaker 7

Yeah, the trophies is where we're going to pay for it, but maybe hopefully Drew can give us a special... But we'll pay for the trucking. That's about it. We'll have to invest in the food. I mean, if we're going to get the money, the water. Yeah, and then it comes out of our account and it's put back in once we sell the stuff. Right. You know? So I don't think there's any other expense. I can't think of any other expense. I don't think so. I don't think so. I don't think so. Oh, the fun games, can you play, not that fun, but this is my other question, can the academic games, like chess, for example, that can be played inside, right? Because we have those books. Yes, just let me know what setup you need. So we would need, we need to do the setup inside for certain games. And also like ceremony. Where we give out the awards, are we giving the awards inside and inside the center, right? Setup inside, we need to have like a podium, obviously. Okay. I have my lady. And then, so the inside games would be like the chess, the trivia bowl, the STEM challenge. Those would be all inside. Everything else is outside.

43:02Speaker 1

You could add a performance in there for them to do.

43:07Speaker 7

For the inside.

43:09Speaker 1

That way you have more inside than outside.

43:11Speaker 7

What do you mean? Adding that as an event?

43:14Speaker 7

A dancing child.

43:16 – 43:29Speaker 1

Any kind of performance. You can do mind trick. You can do a performance. Any kind of performance. And you let the V throughout the crowd. That's where you have the judges judge.

43:39Speaker 7

It becomes a talent show.

43:42Speaker 1

And then you're based on, okay, I look at it this way. Schools have, do the schools have anything like that?

43:49Speaker 7

Yeah, no, what I'm saying is, no, they do, they do. Some schools have arts.

43:56Speaker 3

If you just do the arts, you can still do the arts.

43:58 – 44:09Speaker 7

Okay, but I'm saying that they could do a dance or something as part of like the wrap-up ceremony. So I'm saying a welcome ceremony, okay? You know what I mean? Some sort of dancer.

44:09Speaker 1

Let's say that a school has a good band or something and they want to showcase that. They all have good bands. Or singers. I mean, it just brings out the people.

44:19Speaker 7

Okay, so do you guys want to have a music category or a performance category?

44:24Speaker 3

Honestly, no.

44:26 – 44:48Speaker 7

but i do like that as like a separate event maybe that's something the cultural affairs committee should do i think okay i'm just throwing that or instead we can have the high schools come on perform um i don't know i'm not saying that will be for next year like

44:48Speaker 2

including the high schools. I like the idea of having middle school this year just to test the waters and make it look well.

44:55Speaker 1

Show off the high schools.

44:56Speaker 2

Next year, the high schools. Yeah. But I think that otherwise, there might be too many.

45:03Speaker 1

They all have bands.

45:04 – 45:34Speaker 7

And they all have cheerleaders. We could do that next year. Yeah, true. We always start small. We always start small, and then we get big. That's how it goes on. I know this is huge, but I'm like, We got it, we got it. God help us. Okay, we're in for our best. Okay, wait, so that, so the inside of the thing is just going to be used then for the academic and for like, are we going to do like a little welcome ceremony or just start? What do you do in a welcome ceremony?

45:34Speaker 1

Outside, if you want.

45:35Speaker 7

Outside, is there a welcome ceremony? And then do we need a stage outside?

45:38Speaker 1

You just need a speaker.

45:39 – 45:50Speaker 7

I don't know. You know what I mean? Stage is very expensive. Stage is expensive. How does a white team get their stage for Halloween? It's like most of our...

45:50 – 46:20Speaker 3

I thought that was like a town. A suggestion is just you're going to have to work very closely with them if they choose to do it for you guys as the commissioner's office. They sometimes donate the stage to our events. It is a little bit easier to work with a production company because you're paying them so they're very on top of answering you and any requests you have. They're a little more, you have to be on top of them, but they do donate and they're usually willing to sort of spend out.

46:21Speaker 7

So the commissioner's office, they have a, what's this called?

46:23Speaker 3

They have like a mobile stage.

46:25 – 46:52Speaker 7

I think you can also sponsor the event. And then they give us a stage and then the stage, we could do the welcome on the stage and then we can announce the trophies at the end of the stage instead of doing it indoors. We're just doing it indoors, just for the academic. So that's being an outdoor thing, that's a question mark.

46:52Speaker 6

I will say the stage, it's not with their office, it's more so the county.

46:56Speaker 3

Yeah, it's the county. So it's like they don't, yeah. Yeah.

47:00Speaker 7

So do you reach out to the commissioner then? Is that how that works?

47:03Speaker 3

I mean, I can reach out and I can include you guys in the email. In the request.

47:08Speaker 7

Yeah. That's very interesting. Do you ladies want to do that?

47:11Speaker 3

We can try it.

47:12Speaker 3

I can reach out.

47:13Speaker 7

Oh, because you reach out to them for the stuff?

47:16Speaker 7

We want to do that one. Okay. Hayley will reach out to the commission.

47:20Speaker 3

Just let me update it if they confirm. So we have their logo to the. Oh, I guess it did. Oh, yeah. We need a flyer to advertise. No, I guess.

47:28Speaker 7

Yeah. So we need a flyer to advertise. And you're going to send it to Intergovernmental. Well, then let me.

47:35Speaker 1

That's the key to getting them going.

47:39 – 47:57Speaker 7

It'd be great if we had a flyer when they're here for the meeting in September. So they can just be like, here you go. Correct. No, they're not. The intergovernmental is going to be here. Are they there at the last meeting? They come when the principals come.

47:57 – 48:08Speaker 1

Just to say that we need you to supply us with This many kids. Exactly. That we want, you know, we need to best do your best students to do those.

48:08Speaker 2

But they want that because they want more attendance.

48:13Speaker 1

I want you to get the best of the best of the best. And then, I love you.

48:18Speaker 7

Yeah, you thought about me.

48:27Speaker 7

This is a flyer.

48:30Speaker 3

The flyer, the point is to promote it to the schools and everybody, I guess. I know what we're having. No, I saw the email. And the community.

48:40Speaker 5

I guess that's the point, right?

48:47Speaker 2

Yeah, try to invite the community to promote the school. Yeah, yeah. For the community.

48:54Speaker 1

Correct. If we have the community, if you have a child that wants to be part of this, come out and sign up.

48:59Speaker 7

Get information. Well, no, they can't just sign up because the teams are being provided by the schools. They can come to attend the event. It's public.

49:09Speaker 3

Yeah, so just invite the community to attend the event.

49:13Speaker 1

Come support your school. Come support your school.

49:18Speaker 2

We can give them the flyer and tell them about it when they come next month in September. How can we promote it to the school with the most attendance?

49:44Speaker 1

by his prize or something. These kids all just respond. It's an extra credit.

49:51 – 50:02Speaker 7

You know? I mean, what could the schools do? What would the school win if they have the most participants? I mean, I don't think everybody's going to have the 15 participants.

50:03Speaker 6

Or like whoever wins. Whoever wins. Not only a trophy, but also an incentive. An incentive. Oh, for the kids. Pizza.

50:11 – 50:26Speaker 1

What if, what if, what if, right? The winner is the leader of the Veterans Parade. No, because we'll do that in... Yeah. That'll be cool.

50:27Speaker 7

Do they have a cart? What do you call it? Yeah, but it would have to be the following year.

50:37 – 51:02Speaker 1

it wouldn't be yeah it wouldn't be yeah that's the problem what we're doing the following year or whatever because i'll do the letter we have to talk to the matter or else what else do we do showcase the school and is there waiting the schools just about the school where you participate in the parade whether you think yes but but it's who who leads the parade but It was the first one.

51:02Speaker 3

Yeah, you're going to be better. We're still on the current incentive. We're still on the rate of incentive.

51:09Speaker 1

How do we get the kids to come out to support their school on a Saturday?

51:16Speaker 7

These are what? Middle school and high school, right? Yeah, it's middle school and elementary, fifth grade.

51:22Speaker 5

The high school and elementary was cropped out here.

51:25Speaker 1

What's the incentive for them to come out?

51:30 – 52:11Speaker 5

Dress down passes at school. I didn't have a problem with that. It would be dressed down passes. Maybe the school with the most participants can get some sort of like a little dance party or whatever. So like after school, like, you know, like half an hour after school or like before school ends, they get to all go to like, like we have for perfect attendance. They do ice cream. So they go to the cafeteria, they get their little ice cream cups, whatever. Um, They can always do the B, at least in our school, the B4. They put the music, and the kids get on a Friday an hour out of class, and they get to go and enjoy the field and whatever, and that's it. Oh, that's fun.

52:11Speaker 7

You know, they get to dance.

52:13Speaker 2

In elementary, we are only going to get fifth grade.

52:17Speaker 5

Yeah, well, it's like when they do dances, that the dances are only fifth, fourth. Not everybody's going to be able to do it.

52:23 – 52:34Speaker 2

Yeah. What I think is that the students that they're going to participate, they most likely attend. But to keep up with whoever is attending from every school, that's going to be hard. Like who is at the event?

52:34Speaker 5

You have a sign up.

52:36Speaker 1

Just have a sign up. Name and school.

52:39 – 53:13Speaker 5

And then obviously when they get to, I don't know because I haven't been here for this meeting, but when they get to the park or wherever this is going to be, they have to sign in at a sign in table. So when they sign in, they're checked off. per school. So then that school is going to have the list of who showed up. So those are the only ones that are going to be able to participate in this special activity, either the dress down pass, time, you know, in the afternoon. um maybe an ice cream you know social or whatever so we can ask the principal for something yeah sure we need the schools to send us a list of who's coming

53:24Speaker 7

Bye. This event is in February. That's going to be hard. 9 to 1, right?

53:28 – 53:50Speaker 2

Oh, no, no. 9 to 12. For the contest. But who's going to pay ahead of time? No, not ahead of time, but like, I don't know, for the spelling bee, we usually get a list of people. For that, yes, that's what I mean. Like, if it's going to be for the students, yes, we're going to do it. I think that's easy. But not like everybody might get forgotten.

53:50Speaker 3

Oh, yeah, that's what I mean.

53:52Speaker 2

Yeah, that's what I mean. You're saying you want to reward the school that brings the most kids.

53:57Speaker 1

Yeah. I don't get grandma. And I'm not talking about participants. How do I get the kids to come out and see this? Yes.

54:06Speaker 7

If the school that has the most people that come and show up. Show up. The most school spirit. Yes. How do we keep track of that, though? Yeah, that's what I was saying. Because when they come in.

54:17Speaker 1

Easily, when you're up on the stage. Okay. Bob Graham. Who's here for Bob Graham? Who's here for Bob Graham? I think he's a great one. They get profit for not just participating.

54:26Speaker 5

Okay. So it's for who?

54:31Speaker 1

Who's at the schools with school spirit? Because then you have the parish.

54:33Speaker 7

Maybe the schools come in a color. So we know that they're representing their school colors.

54:37Speaker 1

Some of your school colors.

54:38Speaker 7

And then it's easier to kind of visibly see what school is more present.

54:41Speaker 1

It's an idea just to how to get people out there.

54:43Speaker 7

But we can give them a color.

54:44 – 55:12Speaker 5

Okay, now. At a sign-in table, how many schools do we have coming out? Six schools. Okay, the sign-in table, you have six clipboards. And have whatever three. They have to sign and make the school. maybe they can sign in for the school that they're coming to support. Okay. If you're from Bob Graham, sign on the Bob Graham clipboard. If you're from whatever, I mean, that's the only way to control it. Yeah. If they sign in, they don't. And if your school doesn't sign in, then you guys don't win.

55:12Speaker 7

And do the schools use that information? Like, if they sign in, will the schools be, I mean, I'm trying to think if they got anything for that.

55:19Speaker 1

You could if you sign in. If you sign in and you put your student number, right, the teacher could give you something. I mean, at the end of the day, I don't know. You know, you just need a student number, really.

55:30 – 55:44Speaker 7

So you said it's not six schools? It's not six schools? No, it's three. It's three schools. It's three schools. It's three schools, yeah. What schools? It's Miami-Dade Middle School, Bob Graham K-8, and Miami-Dade K-8. It's three schools that are competing. The high school is just going to help.

55:45Speaker 5

So what happens?

55:45Speaker 3

Are they in H? You don't invite them? They never come to anything. But are they going to be invited?

55:50Speaker 5

Because our education advisory board is for every degree. What about our Lady Dukes? If they say no, they say no, but... And you said HMO, right?

56:00 – 56:15Speaker 7

No, no, but the high schools are just volunteering. They're just going to volunteer. So high schools, okay. We're only doing middle school this year. Five, six, seven, and eight. Oh, just five, six, seven, and eight. It's a lot, it's a lot. Okay, okay. It's a lot. This is the first time we're doing this. Yeah. Let's try it small.

56:15Speaker 5

Okay, so the high school is volunteering.

56:17Speaker 7

And showcasing their programs. And showcasing their programs. Okay. And then middle school are the ones that are complete. Okay. Five, six, seven, and eight.

56:26 – 56:49Speaker 7

Okay, so getting back to, there's going to be a flyer. So whoever, okay, but the 15 kids they're sending from the school, right? Those 15 kids, we should be able to get their names a month before, I think, so we know. So you don't have to send an email out. make sure that they submit those names, at least by January, because if not, nobody's coming.

56:49Speaker 1

Yeah, by some point, you've got to show interest, if not, you've got to, yeah.

56:56Speaker 2

We'll do at least on the activities that we're going to do, and then, oh, okay.

57:00 – 57:17Speaker 7

I would say like a month before, they need to send in the 15 names. Definitely. But then we can also have, like Jessica said, have at the signing table, whoever is coming to support the school, and we get the total number, whoever has the most signing kits, That school gets a special something for participating.

57:18Speaker 3

So it's 15 participants per game? Per school. Right? Is that what we said?

57:22Speaker 7

15 per school? Per school. Because it's three categories.

57:26Speaker 6

So 15 for 5th grade and then 15 for 6th, 7th, 8th.

57:29Speaker 7

Altogether. For each grade. For each grade level. Oh, no, no. It's by school. So school by grade level.

57:34 – 57:49Speaker 3

So 5th grade, 15 kids. 6th, 7th, 8th? 15 kids in total. Oh, they're one group together. Yeah. So it's 30.

57:50Speaker 6

If it's elementary and middle, then it's 30 kids.

57:53Speaker 3

So the only school that had 15 submitted would be... And between those 15, they'll fill in those games or whatever, all the different activities.

58:01Speaker 1

They have to get those 15, five for each category.

58:04 – 58:17Speaker 3

So we're going to have 75 kids coming. I think you guys should create a sign-up list of how you want that to look and bring it down and send it to me. I think we need to work it out even more.

58:17 – 58:30Speaker 7

I think Hayden. You're doing those chart things. It's in silence. Sorry, Hayden. Sorry, Hayden. It's 30, 30, and then 15 kids, yeah. The K-12 centers are going to have 30 kids each. That's cool.

58:39Speaker 1

We still have you want to make it your blue requirements for the schools.

58:44Speaker 7

Do we need permission and media releases.

58:47 – 59:10Speaker 1

We have pictures to the pictures. I know I was. I include that because nowadays for our football program, we have to have waiver for everything.

59:10Speaker 3

For us, generally, a picture is just kind of like a given that you're participating in a public. Yeah, and they're in a public space.

59:16Speaker 7

And the parent permission would be the waiver, right?

59:19Speaker 7

But yeah, I'll ask the one parent. Individual school approvals, I don't know what that means.

59:24Speaker 1

Like each school, you're already going to do that with the Intercom with the Ferris.

59:27 – 59:54Speaker 7

And the eligibility requirements, when the eligibility requirements, they're in that grade level when they go to the school, is it? Those are the eligibility requirements. I mean, that's part of the rules. We're going to do some sort of rules. Read it in the beginning, just in case. And then, yeah. And then communication with participating schools. It's all intergovernmental. I mean, you're going to be notified of it, but we're going to tell them in September. So then the rest will iron out in October. We'll iron it out in the October meeting.

59:55Speaker 5

So I think the September meeting, we should have all the details tell them.

1:00:00Speaker 3

Yeah. You know, whoever comes with them.

1:00:02Speaker 5

So it's known.

1:00:03 – 1:00:32Speaker 7

Yeah. Yes. Yes. So the most important thing, so we're going to, so we're going to, so these minutes are really important for us to be able to. Okay. So how do we wrap up this subcommittee meeting? We can just go straight into our committee meeting. Okay. So I'm going to call, I'm going to adjourn the subcommittee meeting at 611. Thank you, Mario. With that, you're out.

1:00:33Speaker 7

We'll be contacting you for more things. Thank you. Bye, guys. Thank you. Thank you for getting us into this.

1:00:43Speaker 1

Yes, yes, yes. And tell her what... Yes, she knows. For the parade. For veterans.

1:00:53 – 1:01:16Speaker 7

I'm getting bumped. Yeah, yeah, she knows. Bye. Bye. So do you want me to include these notes? I think they're separate, right? Subcommittee meetings? Separate. Separate. I can't go separate, yeah. And if you don't mind, once she sends them to you, can I see them? Or does she always send them to me so that I have it before, like she said, before the September meeting? Because I want to make sure that we don't forget anything.

1:01:17Speaker 3

I put a lot of notes. Yeah, I don't want to lose people. I don't want to lose people.

1:01:21Speaker 5

No, no, we emphasize and make it very, very clear how important it is to have participation.

1:01:26Speaker 3

Yeah. Perfectly. I know being in school doesn't feel great. Yes, yes. It's usually never hot.

1:01:34Speaker 7

I mean, we don't have a rain contingency plan.

1:01:37 – 1:01:49Speaker 7

That would be very cool. That would be very cool. Very cool. Wait, wait, wait. The minutes, like, unless she sends it to you, send them to me so that I can... Volunteers, I don't know. I don't know.

1:01:58Speaker 2

How do you want me to type this up? I just put something in the meeting.

1:02:01Speaker 3

Just the committee, the annual, the notes. Present, whatever the notes in that thing.

1:02:05 – 1:02:47Speaker 7

Okay. And the people present? Yeah. Yeah. We'll go back and look at it. Okay. Okay, let's start the committee meeting. Okay, at this time at 5.13, I call the committee meeting to order. Um, August 24th, 2026. Okay. So, Alisa, please take attendance. Okay. She's absent. Okay. Jessica Mendoza. Here. Esther. Present. Jacqueline. Absent. Alisa, here. Alessandro.

1:02:47Speaker 3

Present. And Veronica.

1:02:48 – 1:03:17Speaker 7

Here. Okay. Gotcha. Okay, so order of business. Do you want to have any deferrals, additions, or deletions? Anybody? Is there any more? Oh, yeah. Number four, public comments. Did we have the lady from the book fair? Yeah, it's here in public comments. Yeah, I don't know. Is she there?

1:03:17Speaker 3

No, I don't see anyone on there. No?

1:03:19 – 1:03:30Speaker 7

Okay. No, not public comments. So, oh, I missed the approval of the minutes. The approval of the minutes. I didn't put that on the agenda. I'm sorry.

1:03:30Speaker 3

Yeah, it's there.

1:03:33Speaker 3

Number five. After public comments. You're right on that. Next one.

1:03:37 – 1:04:45Speaker 7

Next one. Oh, I'm on the wrong. Okay, there's two. Okay, approval of minutes from the last meeting. Okay. Sorry, guys, I was looking at the logs and I'm still a little confused. I guess those minutes are... From seven. It's seven. I've been a bit tired at this time. A bit tired. Yeah. Motion to approve meeting minutes as stated. Any second? OK, Jessica, second. All in favor? Aye. So go ahead and we'll approve them. OK, the student member report, Veronica, was any updates with?

1:04:45 – 1:05:00Speaker 4

I was looking through the calendar online, but it only has updated into the end of October. So the only one that I could think of from there was the mental health awareness fall festival. which I feel like maybe you could like, not to have a literacy kind of tied in there.

1:05:01Speaker 3

It's on this Saturday.

1:05:03Speaker 4

It's Saturday, October 24th at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. But I'm not sure what board is running that.

1:05:10Speaker 7

The mental health task force.

1:05:11 – 1:05:23Speaker 4

So if we can get in contact with them, but that's an event you guys would like to go to, or if you guys want to wait until... Like, they have more stuff posted on the... No, they have a lot.

1:05:23Speaker 7

They have a lot.

1:05:23Speaker 3

Their stuff posted until November right now. I think you have to go to the second page.

1:05:31Speaker 7

Well, because you're saying you want to go to this event to give out books is what you're saying? For us to have books. Yeah.

1:05:38 – 1:05:53Speaker 4

But I can tell you that, yeah, we have to leave them. It says the description is enjoy the autumn air and by the time it makes families and friends to enjoy activities, bites, and spend fun community time at this event.

1:05:53Speaker 3

What is it again?

1:05:54Speaker 4

Veterans Park.

1:05:55Speaker 3

No, no, but what's the event again? Mental health awareness. Oh, okay, okay. Yeah, yeah.

1:06:01Speaker 5

I thought it was like mental health. This is our second. Yeah, that's cute. What is it? October 25.

1:06:11Speaker 3

Oh, the week before.

1:06:13Speaker 7

And you want to have some books that kids want to read. Yeah.

1:06:17Speaker 4

It's like a family event. I think that was, but I wanted to check up on how the open house. And like they, you know, for us going to, you know, like the last few times I went to open house.

1:06:27Speaker 7

Oh, yeah. No, that died. Yeah. Remember the open house thing? Yeah.

1:06:32Speaker 3

Open house is still happening.

1:06:33Speaker 7

You know. Yeah, but are we, what was it again?

1:06:35Speaker 3

They were requesting a list.

1:06:38Speaker 7

Yeah, so for us to attend an open house event, they want a list of every book that we're going to have.

1:06:46Speaker 3

But not just the book, because the book means we gave.

1:06:49 – 1:07:10Speaker 7

They wanted the ISBN numbers, like it's like, yeah, no. God bless, but no. So let's take two town events. So I think yours actually said that's about September, and then The Halloween one, I don't think I would have books on it because it's kind of crazy. But on November, you want to have books on it? No. Exactly. November, the Veterans Parade.

1:07:10Speaker 3

And Cars for Heroes.

1:07:11 – 1:07:35Speaker 7

And Cars for Heroes. At those events, maybe we could have a table. And in December, you have the Reindeer Run. The Reindeer Run. And there's also the YTF has in December the Winter Festival. Maybe they can have a table there. So is this something that you're going to do later with other kids? Okay. So you'll set it up and do that? Okay. And have you looked into talking to them? Have you been able to meet with them through Zoom or anything?

1:07:35Speaker 3

Yeah, she was going to meet with them in September.

1:07:41Speaker 4

Yeah, last year.

1:07:42Speaker 3

The same month as the principal.

1:07:44Speaker 7

So you're going to do it in September?

1:07:45Speaker 4

After the principal's meeting.

1:07:47 – 1:07:58Speaker 7

Okay, the principal's meeting is the other month. So when would that be? Yeah, principal's meeting is right now in September. Yeah, I did it last year. It's September 28th.

1:07:58Speaker 4

It was three. It was one in the fall kind of time, one right after the January-ish, February-ish, and then one at the end of the year.

1:08:06Speaker 7

You can do it in October, very early October. Let us know how you're going to do that.

1:08:13Speaker 6

If anything, send an application.

1:08:14Speaker 7

And try to remember to contact the school, the head of the SGA, not the students, because they don't show up somewhere. Oh, and they're still going to show up.

1:08:24Speaker 4

You know, they just don't read the message. I just don't read it. You know what keeps happening?

1:08:29Speaker 3

I'm so persistent.

1:08:30Speaker 5

I will send you an email like every other day.

1:08:32Speaker 4

Yeah, I've sent... What I do is I'll have a list of everybody. I'll send a group email to everybody. And then I get minimal...

1:08:39 – 1:08:52Speaker 6

Follow up with a call. Yeah, I think you should follow up with a... You should also put a note for the principals meeting to see if they have like an updated activities director or anything like that. Yes. Or SGA sponsor.

1:08:52 – 1:09:04Speaker 4

And I check, when I do, they check the school website every now and then to, like, make sure that whoever I'm contacting, the actual person in charge of activities, or they don't have, like, a designated, like, entity, but whoever is an activities director, I just contact them.

1:09:05 – 1:09:21Speaker 7

I would call. I would call. I think talking to somebody is way more about it. If people don't have ideas at the end of the day, it just sits there. Okay, anything else you want to tell us about for the room? Are you still putting the books on the library?

1:09:21Speaker 4

The girl wants to do that.

1:09:22Speaker 7

She wants to be the one who comes late.

1:09:27Speaker 4

Oh, that's really good projects.

1:09:28 – 1:10:12Speaker 7

So let me know when when Okay, you let us know when you know the data for October. Okay, seven old business. So again, I said, I just think you weren't here, but I reported to the council and on the 18th and they approved both events, the Olympiad and they approved the, the book there. Okay. That was it. It was very quick. My son was sick and I didn't have him. New business. Okay, so we did already discuss, plan the Olympia Games. Do we have a second? Do you want us to fill you in on kind of what we talked about? I read your paper. I'm going to go over it all with you. Do we want to go over it again? Are we set?

1:10:13Speaker 4

For the events, you said you're dedicating grades to events or how is that working out? Like with the

1:10:21 – 1:10:37Speaker 6

I think we have a big gap on how we're actually going to like go through with this in terms of like, yes, we have people 15, but it's like what times and it's like, do you guys need a self-committing meeting?

1:10:38Speaker 7

Another one you mean to plan this?

1:10:41 – 1:10:56Speaker 7

But I think this is the thing. I think we have guys, September meeting, the principals are coming. So the meeting is a waste. I mean, a waste for us if we can't plan things. Right. But we have the October meeting and we have the November meeting. This is in February. And we have the spending meeting in January, but spending and planning.

1:10:56Speaker 5

Yeah, I kind of.

1:10:58 – 1:11:10Speaker 7

I don't think we need. I think if we have those two meetings, we focus on this. We'll get it done. I think we should have to meet separately. You know what I mean? So we'll iron all these details out. And those two meetings, we'll iron them out.

1:11:10Speaker 6

It's killing me inside, but I hope.

1:11:12Speaker 7

But you trust that it's going to work. All we need to know is that October and November are going to be, you can add that to the minutes, October and November are going to be focused on planning this Olympia.

1:11:22Speaker 6

Well, November is ready.

1:11:24 – 1:12:04Speaker 7

In November, where's the vaccine? In November, where's the vaccine? In November, where's the vaccine? It's in May, mama. It's starting to reach out. It's going to take three months. I'm not. But like in November, we usually plan, start planning late. November, we start planning this. Let's just plug and play. Okay. Just to recap one more time. It is grades five, six, seven, and eight. There are going to be three, four schools, excuse me, Miami Dix Middle School, Miami Dix Gateway, Bob Graham Gateway, and we're going to invite our lady a bit. Let's see if they want to participate. We have to send an email to that, or you send an email to that?

1:12:04 – 1:12:16Speaker 3

I can send an email, but as of right now, you guys don't have specifics. Like, I can send them an email. It's fine. Hey, inviting you to be a part of this. We're going to include grades 5, 6, 7, 8, though there may be schools that are interested.

1:12:16Speaker 7

That's about it.

1:12:16Speaker 3

That's all I have. Okay, okay.

1:12:18 – 1:12:48Speaker 7

Well, let me tell you the next detail. So let's make sure we go over that. Okay. Okay, there's going to be three categories of games. Everybody with me so far? Mm-hmm. The first category is physical athletic. That includes tug-of-war, sack race, football accuracy, soccer accuracy, basketball skills training. We're getting lots of high school students that help. Of course, that's why we... I know. So that's five categories in physical. Five categories of physical athletics.

1:12:48Speaker 3

Physical athletics.

1:12:50 – 1:13:07Speaker 7

Then we're going to have fun teamwork, which is the balloon toss, the hula hoop, anybody that wants to. Maybe high schoolers do too. Water balloon toss, hula hoop, and corn hoop. How many is that? That's three. Three for fun and teamwork. There's only three? Five. Yeah, because the other ones we didn't have.

1:13:07Speaker 5

No, but I thought you mentioned one. Okay, what are they doing?

1:13:09Speaker 7

Hula hoop? Yeah. Water balloon toss, hula hoop, and corn hoop. If you want to add one, this is a list. No, that's fine.

1:13:17Speaker 4

This is just fifth grade.

1:13:20 – 1:13:39Speaker 7

No, no, no. And then the third category is academic non-physical, which would be chess, a general trivia bowl, and the stem build challenge. So three. Three, three, three. And those would be indoors. That's the only one indoors. That would be inside of the hall. Academic non-physical.

1:13:39Speaker 5

And are all these going to be at the same time with different people manning those areas?

1:13:44Speaker 7

That's what it's going to have to be. Yes, right?

1:13:47Speaker 5

Like some people are putting inside for the academics. Some people are here doing the fun and some people are doing the outside.

1:13:53 – 1:15:43Speaker 7

So all over. That's what we need. And at the same time. We need volunteers. So those are the three categories, right? And we're going to have, we're going to be setting stuff at the concession stand. Yes. Or have people set up a concession stand. which one of us or a couple of us have to go buy water, Gatorade, chips, all that, and snacks, you know, whatever sweets they want. And we're going to reach out to a whole bunch of vendors to see. So in the town, Haley's going to reach out to, I believe, a uniform company. And Esther's going to do a mass letter that she's going to send out to everybody. So like all these like My Gym Miami Lakes, you know, pizza scene, uh jersey mines everybody all sorts of businesses will reach out to them to see who wants to you know provide uh either in kind what do you say in kind donation or an actual donation check to help with this yeah and hayley's gonna reach out to the commissioner Randy Garcia, to see if he wants to come. And then also they'll provide a mobile stage. So at the stage, we could do the welcome. And at the stage at the end, we could do the award. You, Jessica, my love, are going to reach out to Drew for the award. So we want to do one big traveling trophy. Another friendly one? Yes, for the overall championship school trophy. And then little trophies for the categories that we talked about. So 11 little mini trophies or little plaques or whatever you want. And then the one big trophy. So you'll reach out to him for that. And then we said 15 kids per team. That was another logistic thing. So they tell the schools it's 15 kids per team. 15 participants.

1:15:43Speaker 5

Only one person is going to win per

1:15:46 – 1:16:48Speaker 7

game per game yes per game okay one one yeah so 11 mini and one um traveling yes mario is going to reach out to the fire station and so we make sure it's safe and he also said there was a police station there so we're not going to get a police officer the equipment we're going to get from the school so when you reach out to the school say they have any equipment they were going to donate ropes whatever socks i don't know whatever they want I was going to reach out to the committee council members to see if they want to be the judges. We have to come up with the rules of the games, and we have to come up with the form and all that. We have to do that. That we can do again in November or October. I was going to get waivers and all that figured out, and parent permission and all that stuff. And we'll let all the principals know about all this from the next month. And that's it. It's 75 kids by my calculations. And we need to type up and figure out the rules. The rules, yeah. That's what we're going to do. Is everybody clear now on this? Yes, ma'am.

1:16:48Speaker 6

No, I had a revelation. What? At November, we're in the biathlon planning.

1:16:53Speaker 3

November, spelling bee planning. Yes, I said that, I said that, I said that. No, I know, but like, okay.

1:17:01 – 1:17:22Speaker 7

The spelling bee now at this point is called plug and, what is it? Plug and play. Plug and play. It's already figured out. We have, we have it down to a sign. Name of God. All we need is to get the participants and be ready. That's all we need. When do we send out the list for those spelling words though to the schools? Because remember, that's in January. So whenever that was, we do need to send out a list. I think it was November. November?

1:17:22Speaker 5

The first time it was too short of a note.

1:17:27 – 1:17:43Speaker 7

Yeah, the second time it was perfect. So we need to, whatever the date we sent that out, I don't know, please let me just send out the list. Yeah, it's the same list of words I think we're going to use from last year. I don't see why it's going to change. Maybe Jackie sent it to her.

1:17:43Speaker 3

In October, the invite was sent to Intergovernmental.

1:17:46Speaker 7

I don't know about that date. And we already have the date. We have the date already. Yeah, you can send that out. You can send that out.

1:17:55Speaker 3

With enough time.

1:17:56Speaker 7

With a date and a list of words, you have the Jackie Center. Same one. Facilito, facilito. Facilito, facilito. Same list.

1:18:02Speaker 4

Yeah, exactly. Facilito, facilito.

1:18:07 – 1:18:41Speaker 7

So my understanding is that we're not going to change the words. Unless you guys remember otherwise. Do we need to change the words? I don't think so. Okay. So that is, we just did 8A. Okay, 8B now is the book fair. It's going to be on Saturday, November 7th. Saturday, November 7th. This is the book fair, the... What's the name of the book company? It was... Goodreads. Goodreads, thank you. Goodreads Book Fair. Now, Isla and I had a meeting with Liz Lantigua and I forget the gentleman's name.

1:18:42Speaker 2

Did you say November 7th? I'm sorry.

1:18:44 – 1:19:05Speaker 7

November 7th. Saturday, November 7th. It's going to be from... The time, if I remember correctly, the time I thought it was going to be 9 to 12. Yeah, I was going to go back. She wrote notes. While she's looking at her notes, this is what I need from you guys.

1:19:05Speaker 3

Event time, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. I'm sorry, what else did you ask? 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Event will be...

1:19:14 – 1:20:09Speaker 7

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Okay, so if you guys recall back last month, I don't know if you remember the month before, when we had our meeting, I and I both heard you said, I think I'm crazy, that they didn't really need much from us. It was just going to be that they were going to host it. They said nothing. They didn't need anything from us. If they were going to host it, do everything. We were like, okay, we'll have it. And we'll make sure the council approves for it to be had in a community center, which they did. So the council approved for it to happen. It's going to happen at the Mary Collins Community Center. So it's going to be at the Mary C. Collins Community Center on Saturday, November 7th from 10 to 4. When we had the meeting, they now want volunteers. They want us to volunteer at this book fair. I am not here that time. So who would like to go? I told them I could get them high school volunteers to help them. They said they only needed four to set up and four to take down.

1:20:10Speaker 3

It sounds like they wanted at least four adult volunteers, right?

1:20:12 – 1:20:25Speaker 7

No, I told them. I don't know that I can guarantee four adults. I said I can guarantee four teenagers that are very responsible and hardworking. Jessica, you know my kids. They're very good, responsible kids, so they're great kids. They're honor society kids, yeah.

1:20:25Speaker 4

That is the day of the SAT.

1:20:27Speaker 7

Oh, that's great. That throws a lovely branch. Thank you, my love. I don't know about how many volunteers I'm going to get. Okay, that's great.

1:20:34Speaker 2

And I was wondering if the next weekend is the Cards for Heroes. Why don't they do it the same weekend? No, they don't want a weekend that there's another big event.

1:20:41Speaker 7

No, that weekend.

1:20:43Speaker 3

End of year. End of year in the town.

1:20:45Speaker 7

It's crazy. Exactly. That Sunday, the day after the book fair, is the Veterans Parade. Is that Sunday? Oh, yes. God bless. Yes.

1:20:55Speaker 3

You know how you feel?

1:20:57 – 1:21:12Speaker 7

Exactly. So, anyways, I need to know which of you ladies can please check your schedule to be there to see who can go that Saturday, November 7th. I need at least one of you guys to go, please. Because they are giving us the proceeds.

1:21:13Speaker 3

They're giving us 20% of the proceeds. Sunday. So, I'm trying to go. I'll let you know from, you know, November 7th.

1:21:23 – 1:21:36Speaker 7

They want to set up the day before. They want to set up the Friday the day before. At what time? 6 to 9 p.m. I don't think it's going to take three hours. So I know I can get the volunteers on Friday night. I can get the volunteers on Friday night. That's not a problem.

1:21:47Speaker 5

I'm sure not all the kids are going to do SAT.

1:21:49 – 1:22:01Speaker 7

Exactly, because you have juniors who don't do SAT, and you have the sophomores who don't do SAT. So I'll find them. I'm not worried about the K-volunteers. How many adults? I told them I could guarantee at least one. For what? They want four.

1:22:01Speaker 3

They want adults. Why do I have that number in mind? Because I told them four hours.

1:22:05Speaker 5

Yeah, sometimes I'm going to get a ten to four. Maybe I'll go a couple of hours, but I'm not going to do that.

1:22:09 – 1:22:42Speaker 7

Okay, so let's break it down. Let's say if we're there, we don't have to be there. She said 930. 930 to four, essentially. 930 to four, essentially. So let's say you break it down. 930 to like 12, and then somebody else can do like one to four. Okay. I can go on 930. I'll try. Okay. 9.30 to 12. 9.30 to 12? Okay, thank you, Alicia. So Alicia will go 9.30 to 12. Jessica, you can do 12 to 2. 12 to 2, Jessica. Okay, Jessica, Alicia. Can anybody do like 2 to 4?

1:22:42 – 1:22:59Speaker 2

I'm going to try, but I cannot confirm right now. That's the thing that I prefer because I would rather tell you I am going to do it than tell you I'm going to go and not do it. I prefer, so I will go. But I will try my best. I have, like, five birthdays. Just hit me.

1:22:59Speaker 7

Oh, you mean four to three?

1:23:02Speaker 5

Girl, but she doesn't have one on Saturday. Why? Because I love my relatives.

1:23:07Speaker 5

I mean, you know. I don't even know.

1:23:11Speaker 7

Your sister-in-law might be there.

1:23:13Speaker 3

She's the one that might be there. Yeah, I know. So she might be there. That's her birthday that day. Oh, it's her birthday, so she might be there. Yeah. No, wait. Wait.

1:23:23 – 1:23:36Speaker 5

Is that her birthday? Oh, no, sorry. She's the second. That's my mother-in-law's birthday. Yeah, so she might be there. Okay. My brother's is the sixth. So you can go with her. My mom's is the fourth. My mother-in-law's is the sixth. But you have everybody. Yeah. Sister-in-law's is the second. Everybody's wife is the second. I think my mom is the fourth.

1:23:36Speaker 3

My brother's is the sixth. And my mother-in-law's is the sixth. Wow, they're all the same week. They're all the same week. Oh, my goodness.

1:23:42Speaker 5

Do you have a separate cake for your daughter? My brother and my sister-in-law usually go away for their birthday. Nice.

1:23:48 – 1:24:25Speaker 7

So I said, how old are you going to be there with her? She'll be there from 12 to 3. You can do an extra hour. 12 to 3. I'm going to put you down tentatively 12 to 3. Okay, but if the two of you could go, that would be amazing. And then I'll make sure they have plenty of volunteers to help. So they don't have staff? No. I mean, I think it's one or two of them. I think it's just the two of them. I don't know. But they don't have staff, no. And they really want the town to promote it, and I'll explain to them how that works. Because we can't promote it because we don't have our own Instagram. It has to go through the town.

1:24:25Speaker 3

I mean, we'll promote in the sense of, like, it will be posted on our website that there's an event. I know, but how do you get kids there? How do you get family there?

1:24:32 – 1:25:10Speaker 7

Well, and then they said the schools, but the schools, we told them it's intergovernmental, right? Or no? That's a requested intergovernmental that they want to share. We can't share it with the schools. You know, we can't advertise that. So our hands are tied. You're going to make sure it comes through. so you know you're the one that's like check market came through having come through so if it came to a governmental census and they sent it to the schools and then they added it and we'll at least have two of you there which is remember they take long so it's kind of like come out no but it's like a while now because it's because it's this is in november yeah so i mean the next newsletter is you know weeks so that's fine you can be in the next newsletter

1:25:10 – 1:25:22Speaker 3

No, go to intergovernmental. Oh, you were going to contact. Yeah, I was going to create the flyer. You were going to contact. Oh, who's creating the flyer? You guys are creating the flyer. Well, she hasn't sent me the logo and I asked for it. Okay. So when she sends me the logo, you can create the flyer.

1:25:23 – 1:25:36Speaker 3

Do you need me to send her an email saying that? Yeah, I'll send her an email. So I'll tell her, please send the logo. But she's aware because when we had the meeting on Friday, she... Today is what, Monday? Maybe it's too soon. I'm just letting you know. I'll check with you.

1:25:36Speaker 7

I'll send you an email. If one says she hasn't sent you the logo, then I'll email her to send you the logo to create the flyer.

1:25:42Speaker 3

And then once... Yeah, but if she doesn't get it to me soon, they're going to miss the September.

1:25:46 – 1:26:02Speaker 7

They're going to miss the September and stuff. And then you were also going to contact the Miami Laker to see if you could put it in the Miami Laker, right? I think it's in my mom's laptop. Oh, your laptop. I remember. See, I have a good memory for that. I remember you saying, oh, I'm going to contact the mommy because I was like, oh, you want me to do it?

1:26:02Speaker 3

Oh, it's not contacted that we... Yeah, yeah, yeah.

1:26:05Speaker 7

Okay, gotcha. Yeah, so they're going to... I was going to contact the mommy later to let them...

1:26:10Speaker 3

It's just FYI, there's an event. They want to cover it up.

1:26:13Speaker 7

Yeah, so... And we're providing to our volunteers, you know? I don't think they...

1:26:18Speaker 5

I'm pretty sure... You need something from that lady? What do you need from her?

1:26:22Speaker 7

The one from the book club?

1:26:25Speaker 7

Her logo. So that it can be in the September newsletter.

1:26:31Speaker 3

By when? When is the deadline for the September newsletter? Oh, yeah.

1:26:37Speaker 5

Because we're already working on it. Did you already ask her for this?

1:26:40Speaker 3

Yes, I'm sorry. We've asked for it twice. In the meeting and via email.

1:26:44 – 1:27:09Speaker 7

We haven't gotten it. She hasn't gotten it. But if she wants it advertised, she needs to send. And then... I wanted to get it in the newsletter for September. For September to get it out. And then I'm going to put it on their Instagram. Intergovernmental will hopefully get it through to the schools. Does she know who to send it to? I mean, I requested it. Yeah. I was emailed to her multiple times.

1:27:09Speaker 3

She's near copying it.

1:27:10 – 1:27:35Speaker 7

Yes. Yes. She's been... She's been... She's been... So all we can do is that. And then you guys have two volunteers there. So Alicia, you're going to go from 9.30 to 12. And then Jessica's going to go from 12 to 3, God willing. And that'll cover that. And then I'll get the volunteers to help.

1:27:35Speaker 3

This I don't remember in May. I thought she needed the adult volunteers for the night before to help, so.

1:27:41 – 1:27:58Speaker 7

No, I can do that that Friday. I can, like, you know, get them started, but already, no. She just wanted an adult there, I guess, for, like, because people are humming and she wants an adult there. But, I mean, these high school kids, they know how to direct traffic and they know how to tell, oh, the bathroom's there. Like, I don't know.

1:27:59Speaker 2

I think it's fine.

1:28:00 – 1:28:21Speaker 7

So, but, you know, the two of you will be there just in case. Two adults there. She said something about music. I think she said something. She asked if we, but we don't have a system. There's no audio system in there. She asked if we could play music or something. But we don't have.

1:28:21Speaker 5

She's asking for volunteers, adult volunteers, and music. And what else?

1:28:29Speaker 3

That was it. That's the only thing I remember her saying.

1:28:33Speaker 7

I don't know if she's providing it.

1:28:36Speaker 5

I mean, yeah.

1:28:41 – 1:29:14Speaker 7

Okay, that's that. Moving on. Okay, so that's anything else with the fair? So everybody knows the date, they know who's going. Okay, 8C, the principal's meeting. So when they come, they're coming on the 28th, which is our next meeting. Our meeting starts at, hold on, let me see. Let me, I have it in my account. The principal's meeting. I put here 4.30 p.m. because, yeah, because that way they don't have to stick around so late. So they come at 4.30. Typically their meeting is an hour. It's typically an hour, sorry.

1:29:14Speaker 3

The principal's meeting.

1:29:18 – 1:29:59Speaker 7

I don't have it done at 4.30, but I'm just asking. Usually it's an hour, right? Their meeting is an hour. Yeah. So 4.30 to 5.30. So I imagine we're having our meeting at 5.30 and we can finish by 6.30. We should be done by 6.30. okay so then that's that and at that meeting we'll tell them about we can tell them about the book fair if it's been approved by them we can share the flyer for the book fair with them and we'll tell them about the Olympia so this meeting for the principals we actually have stuff to tell this meeting we should have a list we should have a list absolutely I should have a list okay I'll make the list

1:30:00Speaker 3

No, no, I was kidding. I was kidding. I already have it here.

1:30:06 – 1:30:31Speaker 7

Okay. And other than that, is there any other important announcements or anything important you need to discuss? It's a lot. It was a lot today. It was a lot today. It was a lot. It's going to be important next time, right? No announcement. Okay. So then I have this meeting adjourned at 6.49. Yeah. Maybe seconds. All in favor? Aye. Meeting is adjourned at 6.42 PM.
