SHORELINE EROSION IMPACTS ON COASTAL PROPERTIES (DRIP-9(11))

Under Rule 7(B) of the Rules of the Council, the Committee intends to receive presentations from the Department of Planning and Tara Owens, Maui Nui Program Coordinator, Coastal Processes and Hazards Specialist, University of Hawai'i Sea Grant College Program; and Dr. Charles "Chip" Fletcher, Dean, School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology, University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, on shoreline erosion impacts on coastal properties. The Committee may discuss shoreline erosion impacts on coastal properties. The Committee may also discuss policy approaches to mitigating the impacts of sea level rise, climate change, and other related matters. No legislative action will be taken.
