I did not know that for the longest time and I only knew that because the house I bought you can see the brick. Utility customers request complaint. Now's the time. Public works projects. Mr. Brad. Uh, good evening. Just a quick update on the water treatment plant project. Um, obviously the plant's up and running. We're now working on uh the interior casework office area that all that equipment showed up this week. So, they're installing that. Um, the existing water plant renovation, they've started that. Took all the tanks out. They've got the overhead door roughed in. So, looks like they've got a concrete approach and an overhead door to put in and that's pretty much wrapped up for the bulk of the big things on that. So, looks good.

He told us tonight he was going to do the concrete tomorrow, but be awful cold. Yeah, it is. That's what he told us.

Um, we did a one-year tank inspection for the water tower last week. The guys came down and climbed it, took pictures. They're I don't have the picture report yet, but when I get that off, I'll share it with you guys. Initially, looked like everything was good. There are some outstanding punch list items from last year that we had to remind them of that they still haven't finished. Um, but I believe Ken has contacted Viking um and they're they're aware that that needs to be addressed. Um, basically just some touchup areas, paint liners. The things are primer. They just need to be touched up with the dark blue. Um, and then we did get the antenna up on the tower yesterday. So, it looks like I appear I think next month you'll be able to read remotely.

Yeah, I'm not sure. I just know he said that we'd have a class here soon on it.

So, it looks like everything's wrapped up on that end. So, good. Um, let's see. Only thing other thing I had was Oh, JC Knight. Um, the contractor was still waiting. Um, the South Well was being rehabbed at the plant, so he couldn't get in and move that dirt. But, um, as soon as soon as they're done, weather permitting, they're going to get in and move that dirt over. So, that should be that should wrap that project up. So, okay. And then I I did hand out a copy of this is the dedic the unofficial dedication plaque that'll go in the building. I just want to make sure everybody's name is correct and we've put everyone on there that we feel like should be included. Um if you guys have any comments with that. Did you talk to Bob about the attorney? Is that correct? Or how

All right. Uh equipment's all good, up and running. Uh we do have all the trucks ready for winter. The sanders are on, spinners, everything's ready. Um was all working as of tonight. uh filled out four permits for water and sewer. No road closures. Uh we've done 125 locates this month. Uh 28 work orders. Uh the leaf pickup's been going pretty good. Uh try and get around everywhere that we can see. um had a couple tight spots like on the dead ends and stuff to get that machined down there. But um our first load of salt come in a couple weeks ago. We got all that mixed this week uh was 22 tons of ton of salt. So when we mix it with the sand, end up giving us probably around 30 ton, 35 ton, uh we'll have another 22 to 25 ton of salt coming if the winter don't get going too quick. Probably not till the beginning next year. I'll have the second truck ordered.

I will. You want me to? Um and then got a call yesterday. Um, Tamarak was wanting to know about us or Virginia Village, I think it's called, about picking up their leaves. Uh, we've never done it before. It is considered a private park now. That's why we moved our water lines out. We don't own any of their meters. We don't own any of their lines. We don't even do locates past the meter that we put in the road. Now, I did look up an IC code I gave to Britney, but it does say in the IC code that the city is not liable to go into any private park. So, Britney wanted to bring it up to you guys, see what you thought. We don't have a problem if they want to bag it and bring it out to the road. We can pick up the bags or if they want to bag them and take them to the shop theirselves. But if you guys have ever drilled back there, there's giant holes in that parking. They fixed that.

Just the corners. That's why the police quit patrolling because it was tearing the front end of the cars up. We still go back there on calls. We'll still do that. U but like I said, there isn't actually a code that says we're not responsible. My concern was if you do that, are they going to come back and say, "Well, since we're in the city limits, we want our roads paid. We want plow. We don't plow in there. We don't do anything." Right. I honestly would be reluctant to do it only because We've worked so hard to get it separated right now. It's like we're we're inching toward bringing them back into the phase. I don't think that's the impression that we want to give them without some type of contractual agreement when they pay for the services or

Right. And that's kind of what that's kind of how the law read it. You know, you're not responsible even though they're within the city limits because they are private, right? How do we handle sisles out there? We don't do nothing out there. We don't. That's actually they marrying addresses. All that is Marian addresses. And the only really difference is to me they got I mean I want to say they got a better fight but we own all their meters. We own their water lines where out there we don't own anything. So okay that's up to you guys. Like I said me and the guys are all talking. We wanted to wait until you guys decided. But

do you want us to take it under adisement cover to the next meeting? give everybody time to digest it, talk about a little bit and then we'll we'll take and we can tell them like what we said if they want to bring them up there they can for now we can provide them with leaf bags. Are you guys okay with that? We have more than enough. I don't know that I would do that only because we're not going to do that for white oaks or anybody else and I think consistency is probably the right approach in this circumstance. Um I I wouldn't over anything at this point.

Just that's just the guys talking. So if anybody thinks any differently or anybody in the audience thinks any differently, we'd love to hear. So um I I would just tell them that we're going to take it under adisement at this point and make a decision in a couple weeks or the next week. Sounds good to me. Okay. Um again, the salt's all mixed. Probably by the time we get the other lotus salt and mix it, we'll end up between 60 and 70 kind of mixture for the winter. So, we should be in pretty good shape there. That's pretty much it for the city unless you guys Oh, yeah. Unless you guys have anything hard.

Uh 11 calls, eight medical, three fire. Uh the trucks went through pump test last week. Uh today we had mask and pap test done. Um food drive December the 7th. Remind everyone about that. We'll start around 1:00 going. We don't go door todoor anymore. I'm not saying we can't, but when CO started, they told everyone just set their food out on the porch or by the mailbox or whatever. Um, we'll see how it goes. Like I said, we used to go door to door. They just stopped it. So, uh, but the guys will go up down every road. Should have hopefully at least the fire trucks out making a little bit of noise so you know we're coming. That's pretty much it on fires.
