This is city council work session meeting on Monday, March 23rd, uh, 2026. The time is 609. I call this meeting to order. Can we please stand for the pledge of allegiance? I allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Clerk you can now take the role. Council member Murray is absent. Council member Kavanagh present. Council member Hodkus present. Council member Matavitzki present.
Council members Rathmemell and Dundan are also absent. Council President Prom Middleton present. Thank you. Thank you. We will now begin uh discussion of legislation. We will not be discussing RL25-85. The presenters were unable to attend tonight. Um so instead we uh it'll be scheduled for April 1st at 1 p.m. for discussion. Finance finance Kavanaaugh chair will begin with RL26-77.
Okay. Mayor is here. Okay. So, RL 2677 is an ordinance to amend the 2026 fire budget. Fire budget for uh uh purchase of uh EMS medcar vehicles.
Yes. So this joins the and this we discussed this during the CDBG uh working sessions uh to split up the allocation between the general fund and the CDBG uh for purchase of fire vehicle. So this matches that. Um, and just to remind, you know, council, we've got a med vehicle for um, station two, an EMS uh, supervisor vehicle uh, as well as approved through uh, as part of what we're doing with CDBG and in in this funding and then also too as part of the capital bond, we have a med uh, two med vehicles and a med hazmat um, duo being paid for as part of that. So this funding will help us uh finalize purchase of the vehicles uh and allow for any equipping uh of those vehicles as necessary as part of the spend down and fire and purchasing are already working on procurement for this as well.
And you plan and you plan to get this right away, correct? Yes, that's correct. So I'm asking for for it to be expedited. uh we are lining up the purchase and you know I think we had kind of already discussed this as part of the CDBG discussions as the a way to meet in the middle and move forward. Um so they asked that we um that the municipalities all fill out this notice um by completing the form and basically acknowledging the transition that'll be happening.
