Planning Commission - Regular Meeting

We are live now. Um, just so everybody knows, we're still waiting for President Slater. and commissioner fought. Yeah, looks like those are the only two that aren't here yet.

Out of curiosity, Jennifer, when our president and vice president are absent, who who facilitates? Uh, she was just asking me that. I pulling up the planning commission bylaws. Hold on. I just got a text from um President Slater and he is trying to log in. Oh, okay. Technical issues, I guess.

Okay, cool. We'll wait a couple more minutes then. It says that in the absence of the president or vice president, the city attorney or the planning administrator, that would be me, uh can call the call the commission to order and then if there's quorum, we would elect somebody to be a temporary presiding officer.

Okay. But hopefully Commissioner F just logged on. So there we go. We're good. And Slate, President Slater should be coming on here shortly. So he just asked, "Do we have quorum without me?" So he's giving up. Yes, we do. So then Commissioner Spot gets to call me now. Yeah, you get to be president. Okay. Uh call the meeting to order then.

Yeah, I think I think we should go ahead and start. It's five minutes after too. Okay. And I do not have any uh I'm traveling this week so I don't have anything in front of me. Yeah. Uh, Olivia Diaz filling in for Lisa today as a planning administrator. Um, the only things that she had me um want to note is that our airport manager and assistant airport manager have resigned. It's been in the paper. Uh, so that presentation is probably going to be delayed um coming to the planning commission. Uh, the annual planning commission report is a I think I just saw a final draft hit. um Lisa's email yesterday. Uh it'll be going to council on September 26th. I believe President Slater is going to speak or he was asked to speak and public comment. Um we I think we've confirmed the a new location um with the new dates, but we're going to once Lisa gets back, we'll finalize that with um with the county and and send out an email with followup with that information. But it sounds like everybody's on board. And then the only presentation that's coming forward to you would be from Robin and Ununice um about the code updates coming up. But that's all I have for planning commissioner report.

Um, so I was just, uh, wondering if other commissioners are encouraged to attend the city council meeting on the September 26th or is this just uh going to be a quick update to the

It's an information report. So, it's on the September 22nd. Um, if you want to come and provide public comment, uh, President Slater will have to sign up as part of public comment at the beginning at the beginning of the agenda or at the end of the agenda, whatever one is that. with public items on the agenda. Um, usually like I know our HLC uh chair will give a brief overview of the year. Um, and I know Shane used to do the same thing. Um, and so if you want to to speak to the report once it's published, you're more than welcome to at public comment. Um, is there a way that we can be all sent a copy of that report once it's finalized?

Um the when are those dates changing? Would that be in October then? So would it be the first and third or second and fourth for September? Um, it's going to I think we have to get on the um I doubt we're going to get September. If it does change in September, Jen, did we advertise for a meeting on the 16th? Yes, we do have a meeting on the 16th. So, it won't I don't I doubt we would send read notice to change that meeting. Yeah.

So, it probably won't start until at least October. Okay. Uh, do we we don't need to vote on that, do we, for having a meeting or not? We could just Do you want to check with Commissioner President Slater? Yeah, I Yeah, sorry. I can email him and double check. Okay.
