Second. A motion seconded forward to full council. And this project did have three bids. Metals Construction, their bid was 1,814,042.6 White River Materials Incorporated, their bid was $1,392,834.58 and then the low bid Crabtree and Son, as we noted, 1,337,163.25.
I have a question. Just refresh our memory or my memory about what area does this
cover? Edward, you come forward please, sir.
The turn lane portion of the project will start at University Loop East and go a few 100 feet to the East just past the J Town Grill driveway. There's a problem with not having turn lane there and some blind spots coming over
the Chris Gibson has brought this up in the past as far as being particularly hazardous area. The
side path will start at North Caraway and it'll it'll extend east all the way to the Newman Center, the Catholic Newman Center. So it'll be along the entire North Side from North Caraway to the East Bay State's property.
And I I just wanna mention that the side finishing the sidewalk there on Johnson, it's been a great thing and it looks really good. And I know that was a challenging project. And I think everybody recognizes that wasn't easy to do, being on a slope like that. But that made a big difference as far as traversing that stretch to the light at intersection of Marion Barry and Johnson there. So that's greatly needed and appreciated now that it's done.
Anyone else have any questions or comments? Anyone in general public in attendance or staff? Okay. If not, we have a motion second for resolution 26,039. Please cast your ballot.
That will be forwarded to full counsel. Next item is other business. Anyone on the committee have any other business? If not, next item is public comments. Anyone in general public have any comments that were not on today's agenda? Okay, if not, the last item is adjourned. So moved. Motion is second to adjourn. All in favor, signify by saying aye.
Aye.
Any opposed? Okay. Meeting is adjourned. Thank you.
