So, with this as a direct force, here is how the figures are distributed. So, 15 people have already finished their improvements. We have 7 of them currently. Everything started. Many of them have finished but have not yet submitted their information, and the three of them who formally refused the subsidy did so because these recommendations were not what they hoped for. So, a few examples. People hoped that a financially prudent recommendation during their audit would be to replace all the windows in their house. This was not listed as a recommendation, and they therefore chose not to undertake anything despite the other options they had. So, nothing was them, finally them. Disappointing. It may be a qualitative term that I should not use, but they, all the participants have appreciated the fact that the audit is not only a list of recommendations for which they could receive subsidies, but also act as a kind of roadmap to know how to improve their home over the years where they will occupy it. Some of the non-energy-related improvements for which funding has been used concern health and safety elements that ultimately have an impact on the ability to isolate or improve the energy efficiency of housing. The vast majority of these improvements proposed an increase in thermal standards or the replacement of equipment with more efficient options, but some included withdrawal or disengagement, or even the replacement of wettest cables, in order to allow the addition of additional insulation in all safety, without risk of fire. The figures essentially show that the average participant reduces its global energy demand by more than 4,500 kWh. This is an energy unit, it is not a unit strictly reserved for electricity. A BTU and a Watt can be, you can convert your energy unit. So, out of simplicity, all the energy has been expressed in the Watt audits. Thus, the average participant would save $ 22. Excuse me, the average participant having renovated his home will save $ 22 on his annual public service bills. and from an average base of around $4,100, the expected rates are now around $3,900. As I mentioned, the average participant invested around $1,900 of his own money and, excuse me, has prevented more than a ton of emissions per year at his home. The return on average investment was less than 10 years. At the moment, it is 8.7 years. With some delays, I expect this figure to drop a little and reach 7 years when the 22 have sent their financing justifications. But the fact is that financial investment has been just as beneficial as the environmental impact. Another thing to note here, in green, you can see that four of our participants have used only the subsidies without bringing in proper funds, and they have still been able to obtain average returns. Here are some equivalences of what we have accomplished. The overall savings of the program, or 17.3 tons of emissions avoided, equivalent to the withdrawal of four cars from traffic, or about 70,000 km. we have saved the equivalent of the energy consumed by three households and a half in one year. That is 8 hectares of forest, the equivalent of the carbon absorption capacity of 8 hectares of forest, or my favorite comparison, one and a half billion plastic bags for single use, which are the funding source for this program, are now essentially eliminated. With a quick calculation, the $ 300,000 of funding generated annually by the tax on single-use bags corresponds to about 3 million bags, which is about twice what this program allows to compensate. We therefore reduce this figure by half. Hum, I think I have formulated this equation in a slightly more complex way than necessary, but I think the idea is understandable. Good evening everyone. Just a few updates after the very tragic accidents that occurred this year on Eurendal Road, at the intersections of Eumakke and Mill Street. The city staff worked with them the division of transport of the county of King on them suggestions to perhaps improve the safety of this road at its intersections, in order to proceed to adjustments of markings creating a left turn with a positive shift. This means that it, you know, moves things a little so that there is a little more visibility on the traffic coming in the opposite direction, which does not circulate directly in front of you in the left turn lane. They, and the 4 of them, estimated that it was a very good idea and that they will proceed with this marking maybe later this fall. Also, congratulations to Laurie Bauderman and to Sergeant Michel Langston, they, because we really receive positive feedback from the community regarding the videos on electric bikes that have been made. It is a series of four videos made in a documentary style on Netflix, and it receives a lot of good feedback from parents who are looking for a way to pass on to their children how to use electrical mobility tools safely. They, by the way, the police department and the computer service sent representatives to them the Midwest Safety Expo. It is a two-day event that covered emerging public safety equipment, technology and training practices, and they came back with very good information on improvements that we can consider bringing to the future. And this summer, I think at least six groups or different couples introduced themselves and called me saying, could we come and see you? We live in Springfield, Ohio, or Tulsa, Oklahoma, or elsewhere outside the state. And they said, we just arrived in Batavia. We can't believe what happened in this place. And they say it in a very positive way, that there were all these improvements and all these good things. So, I tried to understand why everyone congratulates us. And more precisely, I think the most important thing is what we did along the river. Peg Bon and Phil Strom were part of it, and they not only had the idea, but they gave a lot of money, both of them, to help realize all this. And there really were a lot of beautiful things that happened in this city center. And I think that obviously, one of the strong points of the school system at the moment is the sports program and more particularly the football team. I was talking to a few Bearden Warner agents two weeks ago and they told me that they had customers who wanted to come to Betavia, but that the reason why they wanted to settle here was the football team. They had a child who was about to play or who was going to play and they wanted to register this boy in the program.
