City Council - Special Meeting

We're ready, mayor. All right. Good morning. I would like to call the special call meeting of the Milton City Council for Monday, April 1st, 2026 to order. The city encourages you to review today's agenda carefully. Each citizen who chooses to participate in public comment must complete a comment card and submit it to the city clerk. prior to the agenda item being called. While the Milton rules allow a speaker to turn in their comment card up until the clerk calls the agenda item, once the agenda item is called, no more comment cards can be accepted. Will the city clerk please call the role and make general announcements?

Good morning, mayor and council be happy to call roll for the se April 1st special called meeting. I would like to remind those in attendance to please silence all cell phones. If you'd like to make a comment, please bring your comment cards to the front. Demonstration of any sort within the chamber is prohibited. Please refrain from any applause, cheering, booing, outburst, or dialogue with any person speaking. Anyone in violation may be asked to leave. Mayor, the next item is going to be the two consent agenda items. And that first item is going to be approval of a program provider agreement between the city of Milton and Alysia Ribs doing business as Monumental Monumental Physical Therapy and Performance LLC to offer baby and me fitness classes. It's agenda item number 26090. Our second consent agenda item is approval of a program provider agreement between the city of Milton and AR Workshop North Georgia LLC doing business as AR Workshop Milton to offer youth and adult DIY workshop classes and camps. It's agenda item number 26091. Mayor Jameson.

Okay. Uh we do not have any other items. We'll now go on to first presentation. Mayor, that first presentation item is consideration of RZ 2603, a text amendments to the unified development code regarding minor plats and AG1 standards to the following. Article two, general provisions. Article three, agricultural districts. Article six, special purpose districts. Article 9, site development. Article 10, streets and improvements. Article 11, environment. Article 12, administration. and article 13 definitions. Agenda item number 2692. Our second first presentation item is consideration of an ordinance of the city of Milton, Georgia to amend chapter 10 building and building regulations, article 2, technical codes, specifically sections 10-93 inspections and 10-94 certificates to establish requirements for foundation surveys, verification of lot coverage, and asbuilt surveys prior to issuance of a certificate of occupancy. It's agenda item number 26093. Mayor Jameson.

I'd like to uh recognize an event that's coming up here on the green uh downtown Crab Apple. The MFRF concert, Milton First Responders Concert, coming up on Saturday, April 18th. Uh tickets are available and information available at the Milton First Responders.org website. So, please go check that out. All proceeds go to support the foundation and the foundation solely supports Milton Fire and Milton Police. So, get out there, have some fun, and let's enjoy a great night on the green.
