Mayor, the city of Mary was able to host a South Plains chapter of the Texas Municipal Clerks Association at the Mutual Training Center. Uh how many attendants? About 35

about 35 area municipal clerks, city secretaries. Uh so that was a good thing for us to be able to host that. Also staff attended a TML region 3 meeting uh that was held at the lo exhibit center. Um the topic for that night was aerospace you know uh there is some funding through the state to locate uh areas in the state to be able to compete for uh aerospace whether it's launching uh horizontal or directional whatever. So that is something that the SPAG is involved with. Um the mayor's prayer lunchon will be held on Thursday the May the 7th at 11:30. That's going to be at the mutual training center. Like to invite invite everybody to that. Right now the city of mutual hiring staff for the water park uh tenative to open uh Tuesday May the 26th the day after Memorial Day. City Hall will be the polling place for the mutualized election. Early voting will begin April the 20th and ends April the 28th. Election day, Saturday, May the 2nd. Uh project updates. Uh we have selected five candidates for the home program. Uh those who have been contacted will start working with them. We had a total of 18 applicants. that that is unheard of but I mean I wish we could do more but right now my target is five uh of the home program. Also the we'll be selecting a consultant for the airport project on the airport layout plan uh probably this week if not next

week and also the the reconstruction of the taxi way should be coming up uh we have sent in our part so they'll probably start advertising in the next couple of weeks on that. So, um, what else? Oh, the John, uh, North Country Club edition that's coming along. Uh, we'll probably be seal coating the streets this year around. That is something the city will do. Uh, that is part of our agreement. So, that's something maybe sometime in June we will do that. And I believe that's all I have. the city park. Has anybody been hired for the pool?
