Gil, we appreciate you being here this evening as always, as well as Benny, Juan, Crystal, Tamara, Raone. Appreciate you guys being here. First item on the agenda is to approve the minutes from the council meeting held March the 9th, 2026. Second. I have a motion, a second. All those in favor say I.

All oppose. Motion carries. Next item is to consider resolution R-826, excuse me, 0326, approving an MEDC project for mesh meat processing. This is the second reading. Raone, do you want to add anything to that? Mayor as you said this that is required u a second read is required of the resolution approving the project uh for the mid process and so that is for the update on the holding pian in the back uh I believe the 20th that's when we can disperse funds uh I am waiting on uh uh city attorneys to finalize the contract so

Mayor, the city of Mary was able to host a South Plains chapter of the Texas Municipal Clerks Association at the Mutual Training Center. Uh how many attendants? About 35

about 35 area municipal clerks, city secretaries. Uh so that was a good thing for us to be able to host that. Also staff attended a TML region 3 meeting uh that was held at the lo exhibit center. Um the topic for that night was aerospace you know uh there is some funding through the state to locate uh areas in the state to be able to compete for uh aerospace whether it's launching uh horizontal or directional whatever. So that is something that the SPAG is involved with. Um the mayor's prayer lunchon will be held on Thursday the May the 7th at 11:30. That's going to be at the mutual training center. Like to invite invite everybody to that. Right now the city of mutual hiring staff for the water park uh tenative to open uh Tuesday May the 26th the day after Memorial Day. City Hall will be the polling place for the mutualized election. Early voting will begin April the 20th and ends April the 28th. Election day, Saturday, May the 2nd. Uh project updates. Uh we have selected five candidates for the home program. Uh those who have been contacted will start working with them. We had a total of 18 applicants. that that is unheard of but I mean I wish we could do more but right now my target is five uh of the home program. Also the we'll be selecting a consultant for the airport project on the airport layout plan uh probably this week if not next

week and also the the reconstruction of the taxi way should be coming up uh we have sent in our part so they'll probably start advertising in the next couple of weeks on that. So, um, what else? Oh, the John, uh, North Country Club edition that's coming along. Uh, we'll probably be seal coating the streets this year around. That is something the city will do. Uh, that is part of our agreement. So, that's something maybe sometime in June we will do that. And I believe that's all I have. the city park. Has anybody been hired for the pool?

Mhm. Right now, we're taking applications. Uh so, no, I have not hiring anybody. Yes. We'll probably like to have some staff by the end of April. Kind of get some of those lives uh lifeguard certified. on the streets out here. Are they is that like a refurbished? It's a wrap. Yes. Asphalt. Yes, sir. I the other day first time I hear them on the road. This is kind of

Yeah. Yeah. We'll we'll definitely have to do some work out there before we seal code, but that is uh part of a seal code program this year. Uh so hopefully we'll we'll get it done in in June. Yeah. Kind of sealed it kind of hold it together and and and sealed it. Yeah. So that is So does the council have any remarks. You said that you said you're going to do that in June

tentatively. Uh contractor I think uh that the last thing we hear from engineers that's when we're predicted to to do it. It is done during the summer. You know, sometimes we say June and it might be August, but during the summer months, we'll do that. Any other remarks?
