A Resolution pursuant to §11-40-1 et. seq., and §11-47-19 Code of Alabama, 1975 authorizing the Mayor to expend funds and execute an agreement in an amount not to exceed $6,750.00 with Sidewalk Film Center and Cinema, Inc. to allow Sidewalk Film Center and Cinema, Inc. to provide professional development in the film industry and access to diverse voices and creative storytelling for residents of the City of Birmingham. CONSENT ITEM 34.

A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Professional Services Agreement between the City of Birmingham and Small Magic, under which Small Magic will implement and create a learning ecosystem. The learning ecosystem will provide enrichment opportunities for children from birth through age five (5) and support capacity building and quality enhancement efforts for childcare and learning centers. The City will pay Small Magic for a term of one (1) year, in an amount not to exceed $3,500,000.00. A Resolution approving and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Program Funding Agreement with Urban Impact, Inc., under which Urban Impact, Inc. will develop, manage, and administer the “Legacy Forward Grant Fund Pilot” Program which is designed to provide targeted financial assistance to eligible legacy businesses within the City of Birmingham to support businesses modernization, operational stability, and long-term sustainability, and the City will provide funding to Urban Impact, Inc. in the amount of $114,000.00, with $100,000.00 allocated for grants to eligible businesses and $14,000.00 allocated as Urban Impact’s fee for program development, management, and administration. A Resolution approving and authorizing the Mayor the Mayor to execute an Amendment to the Home Investment Partnerships Program and Development Agreement between the City of Birmingham and Woodlawn Foundation, Inc., under which Woodlawn Foundation, Inc. is awarded funds under the “CDBG”, HOME, and the “American Rescue Plan Act,” (“ARPA”) for the purpose of (i) constructing up to 8 affordable new construction rental units located in South Woodlawn on 2.8 acres currently owned by Woodlawn United; (ii) on-site infrastructure improvements; and (iii), and provide housing for HABD residents at or below 30% AMI to 80% of Area Median Income (AMI), to extend the term to a term ending December 31, 2027 and add additional funding in the amount of $170,500.00 for a total amount not to exceed $1,812,303.00.
