City Council - Regular Meeting

On August 19th, the Norwalk Public Safety Department and Norwalk Sheriff's Department came together with residents for a Coffee with a Cop event at the Social Services Centre. The event gave community members an opportunity to connect with officers and deputies, ask questions, and share concerns about safety in their neighborhoods. That same day, the Norwalk Senior Center turned up the music for its Senior Citizens Afternoon Day Dance. Seniors enjoyed refreshing fruit and drinks while spending the afternoon dancing, socializing, and having fun. As part of Norwalk's ongoing street rehabilitation program, residents in Zone 30 attended a neighborhood information meeting on August 22nd. City engineers and project contractors were on hand to provide updates and provide residents information on what to expect as work begins on their streets. On August 25th, the Norwalk Social Services Center partnered with the American Red Cross to host a community blood drive. Residents and city staff rolled up their sleeves to donate blood, helping provide a life-saving supply for patients in need.
