First order of business, consideration of an action on an order of election for fire control prevention and emergency medical services district continuation election on 05/03/2025. So the chair will entertain a motion to approve the order of election calling a Deer Park Fire Control Prevention and Emergency Medical Services District continuation election for 05/03/2025.

Yes. So just to let you know what it is.

This is the order, which is very similar to the one that y'all used in 2016. It's been slightly updated with some of the new legalities. But this order basically gives, the board the right to call the election as we discussed for the twenty year term. And then on the second page, I believe, we'll have the exhibit listed as the exhibit for the or, the joint election agreement, which will approve an item number two. And the city ordinance that will be approved tomorrow night.

And the reason why that's included is that includes all of the information about whose names, early voting clerk, who's giving authority to election judges, all that stuff you normally would have to do. I included that as an attachment so I didn't have to reinvent the wheel in your order. But that is the order here. The one that I had y'all sign tonight is the one that will be posted, because that is in English and in Spanish. If I didn't use that form, I would then have to get this one translated and post that one. It is much easier to post the two page from the Secretary of State. So that's why you have two documents to sign for the order. Any questions?

Yes. This is the actual agreement that it'll be but just a joint election between y'all and the crime district, telling the city that you're asking them to run your election for you. So in that you're granting them the authority to run the election and in there you'll you'll pay your pro rata expense based on the actual expenses that occur. And then as I mentioned before, you'll have all the voting locations and all that, that is in the city ordinance. But this is the agreement between both entities to the city to allow us to run your election for you.

And I believe if I recall, we actually approved those prorated fees last week.

You did. And if there's any additionals outside, which I don't know if there will, but if they are, we'll do a catch up after the election.

Yes. This is the final version. You all have an actual hard copy on your desk and then you were emailed a copy. And then miss Kozlo, could sorry. And then we've got the finalized version. It has been translated. We've had Spanish speakers read it. They did not find any issues like that's not how you say it. We had several of them read it, so there was nothing wrong with that. All the changes have been made.

We have had people proof it. So we're, you know, as as fairly confident as we can be because there's always something that everyone misses. So I can't guarantee a 100%, but we're as close as we're gonna get on this. Sorry. And then you have already approved through the budget amendment the cost for the publication and the postage.
