This quote by Jack Welch exemplifies the career of dedication and service, disinterested in the head of the North Platte Police, Steve Reeves, towards our community and the agency. I will not read the whole letter because it would take 10 minutes, but there are a number of practices and innovative procedures implemented in the city of North Platte. Thanks to Steve's efforts, there are 15 listed in this letter, followed by Chief Reeves, who has received many awards and awards during his career, of which 7 listed here. To summarize everything, it reads, Steve can be described as a true leader-server who gives employees under his command the opportunity to excel in their duties. Under the guidance of Chief Reeves, employees receive training, tutoring, understanding and equal treatment. Steve's leadership style has always been to teach and guide. Many department employees remember numerous occasions in which Chief Reeves responded to late-night calls to give advice, stopped to repair a computer, handled problems with the Center 900-900-911 at the end of the week or stayed well beyond the exit time of all the others to make sure that things worked as they should. He is always available for advice and assistance. An ex-boss said that for Steve Reeves, no job is below his level. This type of leadership is contagious and emulated by men and women under his command. Congratulations, Steve. You have this wonderful award, this recognition. Thank you all. This is certainly a huge tragedy, so let's keep in mind while we try to define this ordinance and to avoid it from happening elsewhere, especially in our community.

I think it will become a little more complex for the police if we start to restrict the field. saying that a class 3 is allowed on this road but a class 1 on this other so I don't think we want to give further work to the agents to respect these rules we want to try to get the best out of both situations where safety is the key factor without overloading an already reduced police force as far as the current order is concerned I think that a success would be to ban electric bikes on the streets with limits higher than 40 kilometers per hour but I like it as it is today and to try it in third reading because at least we have something official We can start offering safety courses for these guys on bike safety and you know, I think the state legislature could intervene with something completely different. In addition, the fundamental thing is that we can always come back to review everything and make changes. So this is my position on the whole issue. Because at the moment, electric bikes are allowed on any road, they are not limited to any road. In particular, only scooters and hoverboards are essentially limited to roads with a limit of 40 km per hour.

So, I've had a lot of conversations on this topic and it's extremely complex, it's difficult because you don't want to ruin anyone's fun, but you have to try to keep them alive.

There are different classifications and age groups and I've seen some guys on the street who shouldn't have done what they were doing.

Honestly, I'm lucky there was an accident. For the little I... But probably tonight we'll make a mistake.

However, I agree that we have to put something black on white to go... In a perfect world, you know, we should consider them more as motor vehicles than as bicycles, because they are much closer to motorcycles and electric vehicles than real and proper bicycles. But this takes a long time. If we created a classification system with a sticker, a patent or something to identify them, a evaluation, maybe through a specific program or a certificate for those under 16.

It's a long job, it takes a lot of time, and I was just talking to Bill.

At some point the state legislature will intervene and will want to say its thing, so do we really want to spend so much time working on it and then have the state legislature cancel everything?
