National Sportsmanship Day Proclamation

National Sportsmanship Day has been celebrated on the first Tuesday of March each year since it was established in 1991. It was established by the International Sports Institute to promote good sportsmanship around the country and to set high standards for future generations of athletes. The proclamation seeks to promote good sportsmanship in Liberty Lake and beyond by encouraging fair play, impeccable etiquette, and good character. This day helps remind athletes and sports fans alike that showing good sportsmanship is equally important to performance in the arena or on the field.
