Historic Preservation Commission - Regular Meeting

Another big thank you to everyone who helped with our great Route 66 event last month. This event took many months of planning. The weather was pretty brutal, but we were lucky that it didn't rain. The event stretched over several miles of Waywood's own Route 66. Volunteers helped with the music, the food, the water distribution, the organization of the Oldtimer Parade and much more. My observation was that a group of young German tourists visited the museum.

They enjoyed it very much to learn something about the German heritage in the area. And they were just thrilled by the museum. When Mr. Sandman, the next day, spoke about the high proportion of international tourists on Route 66, I connected the two aspects. So we actually had international tourists who came to the Wildwood Celebration. I thought that was pretty cool.
