Yes, I just wanted to explain what we are doing here. At this CRA meeting, there are two items for your consideration.

So there's a member of the public who'd like to address this Agency board with respect to items one or two on tonight's agenda. Thank you. With that, we will close public comment. Again, Mr. Council, you're recognized for your.

Thank you, Mr. Chair. I just wanted to explain the two items that are before you. The first is just a procedural item. You guys are electing or appointing the mayor as chairperson, the vice mayor as vice chairperson. and then adopting rules of procedure to govern the conduct of meetings. That's a pretty self-explanatory item. The second is a takeoff. So if you'll recall, there was a county resolution that delegated the authority to the CRA, delegated the authority to the city to create the CRA, and then delegated specific authority to the CRA only to adopt a redevelopment plan. But what it commanded or what it directed the CRA to do was to send it to the local planning agency of the county. That was the resolution that was adopted. So that's what you guys did last time. We have since, after we transmitted it to the county, we got feedback from the county saying, well, we meant it should go to your own local planning agency. So we were going to take it to our own local planning agency anyway. It went last week. It was recommended for approval. So now it is before you for you all to make a recommendation to the city commission, which is all of you, to adopt the redevelopment plan. Great. So that's what's before you.

ITEM 2, A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH MIAMI COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ACCEPTING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI'S PLANNING BOARD AS TO THE CONFIRMITY OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT PLAN WITH THE SOUTH MIAMI CONFERENCES PLAN RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN PROVIDING FOR TRANSMITTAL OF THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN TO THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI COMMISSION FOR APPROVAL.
