Miss McInness here. Miss Nally. Miss Price here. Mr. Prime here. Mr. Taylor, here. Mayor, you have a Thank you, ma'am. Mr. Brian Reese, please. All right. Might want you to join me in the prayer. Our heavenly father, we come before you this evening and thank you for your goodness and your mercy to us. And I pray as we look out and see all the beauty and the white and the uh the weather. Thank you for our street department and all the hard work they put in and the hours they put in to get our roads as safe as they could be and all the extra work on our uh fire department, police department, EMTs locally just uh in this season. And thank you for your protection over all those on the roads. And uh I pray for this meeting tonight. Uh not much on the agenda here tonight, but I pray for wisdom and discernment for any things that need to be considered, decisions to be made. And uh thank you for each of the people that serve on this council and uh their willingness to just advance the common good here, be with our nation, watch over us, advance the common good both here and abroad. He's attended city council meetings and board of public works meetings forever. and he and I would sit back there before and after meetings and we talk about Franklin and about how much he loved it. Um, I think we're all going to miss Bill, [snorts] his white hat, his cell phone going off [laughter] in the meeting. Rest in peace, Bill. Thank you, Les. Thank you. Thank you, Les. Okay. Um, you do have an appointment to the economic development commission. Mr. Taylor has been your previous appointment. His term expires at the end of this month. Um, I've told him that we would love to have him back, [laughter] but obviously this is your appointment. So I am just requesting that you choose a council member to please be your representative for the EDC. I move to appoint Shawn Taylor as EDC second. We have a motion and a second. All those in favor? item. uh approval of uh budgetary resolution 25-07 to transfer 20,000 from the fire capital 400 series to fire professional services 300 series to cover costs for the remainder of the year. Fire Chief Josh Snder. Uh thank you Mr. Mayor and board. Uh I'm just asking to move we had some 400 series and we just need to move into 300 series to cover our expenses for the rest of the year. And we can't act on this because it's not new money. It's just moving money. Correct. Make a motion to approve as presented. Second. We have a motion and a second. All those in favor by saying I. I. Yeah, merry Christmas. And uh I mentioned at the border of works, but the uh the police uh function where they wrap gifts for um families in need uh was a big hit. And um next year if you don't have anything going on that particular night, um they're look for volunteers and all you do is wrap Christmas presents the whole time. Well, I I appre I know all of us up here appreciate everything that the whole city's done done a great job. So, yeah, Jennifer, I'll just echo the same comments. Um, merry Christmas, happy new year, and um, not that the inside employees don't mean anything, but the the women and men that have to work outside right now, it's greatly appreciated. So, thank you. McKenzie, could you introduce your colleagues and tell us what's going on? Yeah, so I'm McKenzie and then will you guys just stand up and introduce your guys'elves? [laughter] Callie. Um, I'm Callie. I'm Levi. I'm Brooks. I'm Carson. Cooper. I'm Um, so currently we have no new updates. We're still planning the walkathon, but that's going to be early spring. And then that's just mainly to help promote and then raise money for our new dog water fountains, but that's about all we have so far. Okay. And it seemed like you guys did a good job at the winter market. I mean, it while I was there, it seemed pretty busy and sold a lot of goods. So, yes, we did. Thank you guys for getting here for the end of the year requirement. appreciate it. Excuse me. Can you uh give us an update on how much money you guys uh collected over the holiday? So, I'm not a 100% sure on that. Um I would have to talk to our treasurer about that, but I want to say it was around $200 to $300 if I'm not mistaken. Yeah, when I checked in it was like they were at 280 or something and they were selling cookies for a dollar a piece. So, that's quite a bit. So, thank you guys. You do a great job.
