Planning Commission - Regular Meeting

Yeah, lot lot of tire kickers in the north downtown area. And for those people listening at home, yes, Waterfront Holland continues to move forward. Um it seems like it's been quiet for a long time. It may be quiet on the public end, but uh there's a lot of work that's being done by staff, uh with the Army Corps of Engineers, with Eagle, um with all of the different development units that are taking place with this. It is an incredibly complex project, but it continues to make incremental process progress forward. Uh, and again, for those people who are listening at home, yes, there will be more opportunities for public input moving forward. If you ask me on a timeline, I'm going to tell you, I don't know. Um, but it continues to move forward. It's just really complex when you start dealing with the state government and the federal government especially. Uh, because we're looking at water rights, we're looking at dredging rights, we're looking at maritime rights. There's lots of different moving parts and pieces to it and and staff has been incredibly diligent and hardworking at making sure that it is done right.
