It's 7 o'clock. We will call to order this regularly scheduled meeting of the McNibble City Board of Merit Alderman. The first item on the agenda is roll call. Sally Brocks absent. Dietra Dunlap present. Steve Harvey here. Rachel Kirby here. Carrie Morton here. Cara Young Bloodood here. Mayor Chastain present. Uh item two is the consent agenda which includes minutes from the April 14th regular session. If there are no requests for additions, corrections, or deletions, I'll entertain a motion to approve the consent agenda as read. Question. Oh, I have a question about the project that's happening. We got to have a motion in a second before we can discuss it. Sorry, it's all right.
A second. Uh, first from Dietra, second from Cara, and then discussion. I just have questions about the Bobby Ray facility, like what's changed? What's the difference? What do you mean? So, it's on the consent agenda except now it's okay. Now, it's not on my um what are the changes? What are we voting on that we hadn't voted on previously? Like you've come before us before different contractor. Okay. So you changed contractors. Yes. Okay. Is this still for the same amount? It will be because they're bringing it down to meet our budgetary needs.
This is a discussion we had a couple of meetings ago. Okay. That's what I was Yeah, I've already talked to S construction. They're bringing it down to below 450,000. losing a lot of the hardcape which is actually probably good in the long run for the retain for the water retention portion of it. Well, just in general, the more impervious service you got, the more runoff you're going to get. So, if we reduce that, it'll help in the long run, right? Absolutely. And so, it's within the grant amounts. Okay. Absolutely.

Um, as part of the local parks and recreation fund grant we received for Rocket Park renovations, the two 20x20 pavilions have been installed at Rocket Park. Uh, we ran power to those and today we ordered picnic tables. those. So, our next steps in talking with Lyndon is to potentially um bid out some fencing that will go around the play area to to connect to the existing fencing that's along the river side. And then, uh we're working with TWWR on the boat ramp. And then, uh renovating the basketball court area and paving. Uh we have two more weeks of spring soccer. Um, I think I mentioned this, but we have 494 youth players uh participating and we have 44 adult players participating in the spring soccer league this year. Um,
how' that adult league go?
Uh, yeah. Yeah, it's it's it's going uh if we can keep everybody safe. Um, we are in our second week of meble youth baseball and softball league play. We have 496 players registered. Uh for adult ch adult church league softball, we anticipate seven to possibly 10 teams. Uh we'll begin setting up the Milner Center on Wednesday. For this Thursday and Friday for a prek and kindergarten registration for Warren County Schools. Um next Saturday we have May 9th we have special games at the Milner. As far as the Park Theater goes, this Friday they have Close to You, the music of the Carpenters. The show is at 7:30. And then Saturday, May 9th, Paul's Dance Academy recital. Those times are 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 400 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. Thank you.
