This is the January 5th, 2026 meeting of town council of the town of McCandless for purposes of reorganization. Everybody, please stand for the pledge. First order of business is to appoint a temporary chairperson. Um, in the past, I've filled that role until the office of president of council was uh elected and then the meeting is turned over to that individual. Is everybody okay with that? All right. Very good. Um, with that we will uh move to the oath of offices. Uh, Judge Brungo is here and the first uh individual is council member electorine alt. Come on up.

Um from an organizational point of view when we appoint the town manager to assistant and deputy positions. I get I'm confused about that how that works organizationally. And then my other comment is um I looks like we're gonna have a new president on the agenda today and I just wondered when the check signing abilities were going to be approved for the new president if that's coming up at the next meeting or if that's happening tonight. And once again, thank you so much and congratulations.

Are there any other nominations for vice president? Hearing none, do we have a motion to elect? I make a motion to elect Nick Georgetti, vice president of council. I'll second. Uh there was a memo created that had a list of the town officials. These are people in our town who are already employees who are serving in these extra capacities um because of their skills and their knowledge in those areas. Um we would now I'd like to ask for a motion please. I make a motion to approve the memorandum December 30th, 2025 for the 2026 27 appointed officials.

One to Diane as well, please. Um, as we appoint the liaison and the alternates, I want to remind council that the liaison positions are as liaison. Our committees are very wellestablished, very um, educated, thoughtful um, qual wellqualified people that serve on our committees. And so our role is to act as liaison to these committees. Um we want you to know that as council as well you are de facto a part of each of these committees and always welcome and strongly encouraged to attend all meetings that you can. So we will go through these appointments now my sheet there. Okay. Beginning with a planning commission liaison Lorraine Alt and John Hickerson Jack Hickerson as alternate. Next zoning hearing board Mr. Joe Wall as the liaison and Mr. Doug Arllo as alternate. McCandless Township Sanitary Authority Mr. Doug Arllo as the liaison and Mr. Nathan Babage as alternate. McCandless Franklin Park Ambulance Authority. Mr. Georgetti as the liaison and Miss Lorraine Alt as alternate
